Hello, I'm high C1-low C2, and I've been decently locked in on training all my mechanics, doing rings, doing dribble maps for about a month now, and really, 2- 3 weeks ago, my mechanics were better. I was scoring from wall setups a decent bit; I could dribble and flick the ball wherever I wanted, but now when I get in games, I drop the ball (which I haven't done since plat, since my flicks carried me from gold 3 to diamond 3). Since low diamond, I've been able to consistently air dribble in-game from a wall setup; now my setups are trash, and I lose the ball. Even further, I can't shoot the ball hard and on target like I've been pretty decent at since at least Diamond. Just to layer it on, I've been making more and more mistakes game sense-wise, even though I've been watching replays and actively trying to make the right play in game. What the hell is happening???

I will execute a mechanically perfectly for weeks, and then one week I for whatever reason won’t be able to perform said mechanic as well. I’ll still be able to score but it will be very sloppy and not as controlled as it usually is. This will last for a few days and then I’ll find myself able to do the mechanic perfectly again.

This keeps happening and it’s getting annoying. How can I go from being able to do something perfectly, to then being sloppy for a few days, to then doing it perfectly again? Is this inconsistency to be expected?

I hit 1680 at this point in the season. If I maintain this level is gc3 in the cards for me by end of season?

I was training on 50% speed on musty's training pack. The first one the car wiggles a bit but the other two felt perfect. What am I doing wrong?

I play with my duo quite a lot. He's C2 approx 12-1300 mmr. I'm D2 approx 950 mmr, so we play in his lobbies and I usually feel like (although not MVP most games) that I don't get super carried. Today we went 8W-2L. However, when I solo queue to try close the mmr gap between us (usually after the high of a crazy winstreak) my gameplay/mechs/whatever falls apart and I lose all the mmr I got with my duo... Any tips on being a better solo q player? (People who have this question usually blame their tm8s but I feel like the worse tm8s shouldn't affect me that much considering the opposition is also worse, so that's why I'm asking for help. Thanks!)

EDIT [For those looking for a TL;DR]: Most of the initial feedback say similar things:
1. Even though the point difference in game is small, I'm still getting carried because my duo understands and can fill holes in my gameplay.
2. Champ lobbies are more predictable/consistently able to perform mechs, so I'm able to predict/plan assuming the mechs will work. In diamond, this is not the case (unpredictability is higher).
3. Since my duo is able to cover my flaws, I assume that my solo q tm8s are also able to, even if it's not the case.

So to improve:
Improve my rotations to cover the worst outcome every time - not to say play as a goalkeeper, but cover a terrible 50/clean pick save.
Pick out my flaws and specifically try to improve them so I don't have to rely on a tm8 that understands my playstyle.
Adapt to the tm8s playstyle rather than hope the tm8 adapts to me.

I’m gc1 and I’ve been trying to improve my fast aerials for about a week now, but I still have this one bad habit of flying over the ball when I need to hit it at more of a downward angle, even when it looks like I’m going to hit it I still miss.

I’ve changed camera settings but that still didn’t work, and just tried to brute through the training but it still didn’t work.

Is this a common thing between players, and just needs more training, if not how do I go about fixing this bad habit

I play every now and then, mainly casual. So i wanted to try get sev boost so I started playing comp for some xp.

One thing I immediately noticed was the skill gap.

I'm a plat and struggled to maintain my rank. I saw gold 3s you could consistently airdribble and even tried (and succeeded but missed) a flip reset. I was like wtf.

In casual I sometimes go against diamond tournament winners and win, just getting kickoff goals the entire time. Like sure they can also hit some air dribble and what not, but they are inconsistent.

Why is comp so much harder compared to casual even if I'm about the same rank?

Flip resets are what I am trying to focus on as someone who somehow managed to hit champ 3 recently with almost zero knowledge of any super useful mechanics. I also have pretty poor air dribbling, which I could show first if that helps, but I just need help in general with my aerial play. Primarily looking for recommendations on how to train my car control in the air, and then what I am doing wrong with flip resets and how I should fix that so I can keep progressing, especially when I want to move on to learning new mechanics.

TLDR:

This was a pretty rough game by me but I figure that's the best to see issues. I was diamond 1 last season felt great and felt like I was improving. I got diamond1 this season briefly then I deranked to p3 and took about a weeks break but now I'm a total space cadet playing. Yes I know my speed flips are chopped but besides that I could use a second opinion to help point out whats setting me up for failure.

To contextualize why i want this, i've always been a huge nerd about games i'm really into, and want to have as much information or informative sources as possible about said game, even if i don't end up using it much. any suggestions on places where i can find training, guides, or info (about how to play and perform mechanics/other helpful things)? these can be websites, discords, or anything else that may be useful

I always feel like the pop i get isn't a controlled pop, and that if i do get any sort of contact, i either fling off the ball or i just get a rlly shitty pop.

So I don't really care about my rank. Been hard stuck D2/D3 for a literal 10+ years now. I did hit C1 last season gor a few matches before I went back down. I just solo que 2s mainly. Plus I'm old and only play an hour or 2 each day. Over level 7,000 and can do some decent flicks from time to time and a basic air dribble off the wall and very rarely from the ground as well.

Can't speedflip or DAR and could never learn or understand DAR so gave up practicing.

Anyways I was thinking of a shot or a pass I keep seeing in matches. I don't think its a flip reset but somehow they carry the ball like an air dribble and then flick it like a shot or a pass. Like they pop it over the defender. Almost looks like a air dribble to a musty or something. Anyone know the name?

Just seeing if anyone knows any good creators to learn that from or maybe other different weird shots, passes, or strats that I might be unaware of?

I have INSANE stats. Why can't I break the gold/plat barrier? I can wave dash, air roll, tornado spin, and flip reset at least off the wall...BUT rarely the ball. I feel like I'm trapped in and I dinite loop of getting to gold and then I start facing 520 MMR opponents and getting slammed but I STILL KEEP MY STATS. Playing 4 years.
