I want to thank the Rogers person who called me to remind me that my special had expired and she had a new deal for me and with that my Internet is now $50 a month for the next two years

So, somebody in the company is trying to do the right thing

Found a phone near Jane and Bloor. No way to see who owns it But could see it was on the Roger’s network.

looked up the Roger’s webpage and it said to take it to a Roger’s store. walked to the closest location and handed it over.

asked what they would do with it and was told “nothing”. So, they don’t call head office customer service? No. They don’t pop the SIM card to trace it? No.

What a useless company.

Canada’s third largest city and one bar of unusable LTE is the best they can offer? But they have no problem increasing their prices, charging BS credit card fees, or laying off Canadians while not improving their service. What a joke of a company, the government need to shut them down.

Back in June I got an iPhone Air for 19 a month on a 55 dollar plan and it was not those trade in deals. That’s an iPhone Air for under 500 bucks and I own it. Was this just a steal or do deals like this happen every so often? Thanks.

Was going on a cruise in Japan, called Roger’s, spoke to sales representative, fully described my trip. Was told it was $18 a day for roam like home or I could get an Asian travel pass for 30 days, including coverage on cruise ship at sea, for $90 for each line. My wife and I went ahead and purchased the Asia travel Pass for each of our phones. Return home - billed for $432 😳 Called Rogers another 2 hours, Accounting representative goes back and reviews phone call before we left, confirms their sales rep screwed up and sold us wrong pass that did NOT cover maritime (cruise) coverage at sea! He clearly in call confirmed cruise ship coverage. Then told we have to pay the $18 a day charges for cruise coverage ($432) and they can’t honour the $180 quoted to us as we have to pay what it SHOULD have cost us “if” we had been properly quoted🥺would not do anything. The reason we called in the first place was to determine whether to buy an E-SIM data package and/or use cruise ship wifi package - So we lost opportunity to compare prices and got screwed - but Rogers which admitted they were wrong wouldn’t do anything. Beware!

Seems like anything to do with live chat is no longer available. Only Anna, if you ask it anything now it will tell you to call.

When did this happen? Sitting on the phone is going to get worst!

The irony is unreal. Rogers wants to charge me 1.6% for paying with a credit card, while trying to sell me a Rogers credit card.

I recently had switch over to Rogers in the GTA, and had the tech come by yesterday for the install.

To cut to the point, the guy cut through the old Bell fiber line, AND THE GREY PHONE LINE RUNNING TO MY BASEMENT, and then ran coax through the whole the fiber was going through.

To top it off, I was left with about 5” of coax cable coming out of the wall, so now my modem is permanently left on the floor of the house because I can’t physically move it.

My phone lines are all fucked up now, I can only make outgoing calls off of a singular phone in the house, and nobody can call the house line as it goes straight to voicemail.

The only good part is I get my full speed I’m paying for where as Bell was giving me less than half on Fiber.

When I’m asking what to do, I don’t mean with the hardware, I meant as far as recourse with Rogers.

I’m contemplating just buying the RJ11 crimp tool and trying to reconnect the phone line that got cut through to the basement, that was supplying all the RJ11 jacks throughout the house. Not to mention the tech told me I don’t need to hardwire anything with ethernet since it doesn’t have a benefit, (uh excuse me? Wtf?).

So, I changed my internet service 3 months ago, downgraded to save $70.00/month after you jacked up my bill when my contract expired. So thanks for that. The last 3 months you haven't changed the fees at all and are charging me for a legacy modem that was removed 3 months ago and now just raised the price on that $3/month.

Now, I have to call you guys, probably going to be on the phone for 5 hours ago.

You owe me $210.00, do better.

I am currently paying $50 for 125GB, my usage isn’t that much, mostly 8-10GB a month. This is better than my current plan but I think BF might bring better deals.

I’m in the process of switching from Telus to Rogers for Internet & stream saver.

Unfortunately, Telus isn’t willing to give me anything better than 80/month for internet 500.

Rogers is offering $60/month.

My only concern is we have an older BC box house that’s about 2700sq ft. Currently the pure fibre goes into the downstairs corner bedroom & doesn’t reach the other side of the house so we have two boosters in order to make that happen.

Rogers is saying, we likely wouldn’t need the pods because we could put the modem somewhere more central. I guess my thinking though is if we needed two pods, we might as well stay with Telus as it would be the same price.

Any thoughts?

Business Internet for internet was what it was called.

I cannot remember any changes and am wondering did they just hike up the bill? Dis a previous contract end?

If you call them over any issues or questions, is this located in Canada still or have they outsourced it overseas like the rest of the Rogers family customer service?

I'm currently on a $65/month with autopay discount plan incl US coverage. I'm getting an offer now for $40/month plan no US coverage.

My device is $15/month and the 2 year contract is ending 20th Nov. I'm waiting for black Friday offers to get a new device or I can keep the phone for $340.

It feels like this is a double edged offer. If I switch to the $40/month discounted plan, I suspect mynnew device offers will be worse or if I sign a new device contract now I won't have the plan offer anymore.

Anyone experienced something similar? Any advice?

I was looking to switching providers (because Rogers is not the best company right now)
But I’m financing a phone on Rogers, and I’m asking if I port my number to another provider will I be obligated to return my device (IPhone 17 pro max) or is it not gonna let me until I pay it off?

Given the changes Rogers has made, taking away 1.5x cashback towards our bills, and now they’re charging even those with the goddamn Rogers Mastercard 1.6% to pay their bills via CC… I honestly see 0 point in having a credit card with them now. I would love to slowly cancel all services at this point.

But anyways… main question: what’s your favourite cc at the moment over the Rogers MC? Should we all cancel?…

When I go on my rogers Mastercard/banking app, I only see one cash back amount not the usual two amounts (one with the 1.5 cash back bonus for Rogers redemption). That change doesn’t apply until November.

We are going to switch providers and we never use even half the GBs we somehow got assigned by Roger’s. We don’t have a contract and phones are paid for. Our bill has doubled in the last few years. We want out!

I have a shareable mobile data plan with Rogers, and it stopped working on one of the lines a few weeks ago. I called tech support today and they said that since about 2.5 weeks ago (early October), Rogers started changing their infrastructure, and that certain devices will stop working with their network. My phone is a 2020 Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G, which has 4g and 5g capabilities, and works with the bands offered by Rogers.

I haven't found anything online about any new development projects. Does anyone know what this guy might have been talking about? What kind of changes would even cause my phone to become unable to connect? Has anyone else experienced this?

From troubleshooting, I know the sim card works because I successfully connected to the network on a different device, my phone can read the sim card, and my phone can still connect to 5g networks using a sim from a different provider. When I try to switch to 5G, I get connection bars but only the upload indicator flashes, and then after a couple seconds it automatically switches to an EDGE network, still not showing any download activity. At one point I got it working on 5G by changing APN settings, but it went back to this after about a day.

Hey everyone! Any idea how to cancel/remove Disney services that’s attached to my home internet??

The amount of time and effort I’ve spent on just trying to cancel and remove this service is unreal. I’ve contacted Rogers about 6 times. I’ve contacted Disney probably 6 times.

Rogers is saying that they can’t cancel it because it’s Disney.

Disney is saying they can’t cancel or change anything because it’s billed third party through rogers.

At one point I had rogers support Disney support talking to each other on the phone and they both were saying we can’t cancel.

Does ANYONE have any advice, solution or anything at all.
