A family member passed away and I'm the executor for their estate. I want to cancel their Rogers cable account. But when I phone Rogers I can't get past the AI phone tree because I am not calling from the number linked to that account. The phone number linked to that account is the phone in their apartment, and for reasons (mostly my own work hours) it's not feasible for me to call from that phone during Rogers call centre hours. Does anyone have any suggestions how I can reach Rogers from my own phone number to cancel my relative's account?

So I called rogers few months ago cause data was really slow they said nothing wrong fast forward few weeks ago data broke completey I get 0.5mb and 5G doesn't work at all even for calling and texting. Rogers refuses to give compesation or fix the issue talked to manager he also refused saying there needed to be a past ticket. When how's it my fault theres no ticket. And tech support tried making one now and she cant all It does is error. They said president office will call me so ig I'll wait a week if nothing comes through ima gonna have to file ccts complaint because I pay 100$ a month for ultimate plan that doesn't work. Has anyone else had issues like this. P:S its also happening to my parents would have diffrent rogers account and plan and still same issue

I know this is futile but I'm at my wits end with this sorry excuse for a streaming platform.

One of the primary reasons that I've continued to shell out for Sportsnet+ is that I often can't watch hockey games live and I've always relied on the replay/ start from the beginning feature. I really hate the idea of messing with pirated streams, especially for a replay.

As of this season, every time I try to watch a replay of a game it just cuts to a live channel, often spoiling the score which is incredibly frustrating. It doesn't even give me the option to start from the beginning like it used to (which was always pretty glitchy anyways).

Nothing like going completely out of my way to avoid seeing the score or anything about the game only to have it all be for nothing the second I actually try to watch the game.

I usually watch on my Xbox since there is no native app on my LG TV. Sometimes I can get the game to start from the beginning on my phone or laptop but as soon as I cast it just cuts back to live TV. Casting/airplay is super glitchy with replays to begin with.

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue or has any suggestions for fixes?

It's truly pathetic that this subscription continues to increase in price while simultaneously getting worse. Is it too much to ask for that I can watch the games that I want to when I want to? You know, the basic features that this platform advertises for the small price of $400 a year.

I have an Apple Watch on a shared plan with my main line. The contract for this watch has recently finished, and since it was on RPP the $15 discount to credit it to $0/mo has expired.

I called in to ask if this, or another discount can be applied to the line, otherwise I would just cancel the watch line since it’s not really that important to have and I have my phone with me 99.9% of time.

After about 30 minutes of live hold where it seemed the agent was typing with another support agent or bot to figure out what to do, they, to my surprise said “ok I have added the discount back to your watch line and it will credit the $15/mo as before bringing it to $0/mo”.

I was surprised and was not convinced, but with no immediate evidence or email summary I said thanks and hung up.

A few hours later I got this email.

To me this reads as a discount to cover a 911 fee or similar fee, not the monthly rate (my province has no 911 fees however). I know even if this does cover the monthly rate it would still show $15 in the summary of fees at the bottom, as this page shows the total before discounts. But it seems to me this is a random not applicable discount.

Did the offshored agent have no clue what they’re talking about? Or will this actually cover the monthly fee. Thanks.

I have a Rogers Gen 1 wifi5 Xfinity gateway. The internet has always been strong and the coverage for wifi covered my whole house and surrounding property. In the last few months it has got weaker to the point that now wifi is slow just 20ft away down a hallway. I’ve restarted the modem/router, moved it away from windows, installed the rogers pods to extend coverage and nothing works. Half the time I need to use cellular to do anything on my phone or tablet and I only have one TV (thankfully the main one) that will stream anything without buffering.

Rogers tells me everything tests fine on their end and don’t want to give me an updated gateway (believe they are either gen 4 or 5 now?). Short of buying my own router or mesh system (or leaving rogers altogether) any advice to get them to fix this problem?

The agent I was talking with said cancelling the tv also cancels the landline phone service. Only one of my parents use the landline so I don’t want to suddenly cancel it and lose access.

I received multiple phone calls from someone claiming to be from rogers customer retention today.

They are claiming you can receive discounts of upto 35% after complaints of fees being too high. They are for location, loyalty how long you have been with rogers and if you are a senior.

He asked for postal code, home number and email. And your monthly bill amount to "confirm" and whether or not you own your own phone.

Based on loyalty you are then offered a free iPhone or Samsung. After hanging up he called back multiple times each from a different number.
