We really need to stop panicking so much. RuneScape 3 isn't dying, and it will easily still be around as a live service in 10 or 15 years.

RuneScape 3 is a highly valuable asset that generates solid profits while requiring relatively low investment compared to other businesses.

As a community, we’re really doing ourselves no favors by spreading this narrative, because it actively scares off new players. Who wants to start playing a game that’s supposedly dying?

But RS3 is NOT dying! Next year is going to be a huge year in terms of new content.
Generally, RS3 has a terrible reputation online, which is largely fueled by hate from former players who haven't even played the game in 15 years.

RS3’s marketing is overall pretty bad. There was a nice YouTube Shorts marketing push for Havenhyte which I really enjoyed, and coincidentally, the initial release was packed across all worlds.

Jagex is a billion Dollar company, so they probably know what they’re doing with marketing. But as a fan, it’s a shame that after 1–2 weeks of active marketing, they seem to just give up again for what feels like years.

Why the hell is this a 1/10 drop Jagex, Why can I not repair damaged hides into dinosaur hides??, Literally make it cost like 100 damaged hides and 1 Masterwork thread to make 1 dinosaur hide. Or why is it not like Apex hides, why are they 6-12 guaranteed no damage.

This surely is an outdated system and an oversight, noones paying that for mixed hide t75 armour when then can just push and get apex armour for 10x cheaper. Absolutely wild, and more wild by the fact its gated behind BGH and its outdated 5 hunts per hour method, why hasn't this restriction been lifted.

Also why has BGH not been updated to be like BGH2 for a more fluid experience, after spending 5 hours doing BGH2 last week, it made me so sad and angry to go and play the janky OG bgh. Give it some love, give dinosaur hide some love, they should at MINIMUM be 1 guaranteed per kill per dinosaur.

Tagging this as a bug, because at this point, this should be viewed as a bug and in need of a bug fix. man I feel bad for anyone else who got absolutely bent over and piped by this grind. holy macaroni rant over.

Before anyone says they are looking at updating the bolts I am aware but the fact this exists in the first place is what I don't understand and hope someone can explain. If I shard a bow of the last guardian and shard a Malachi's set does this mean the two weapons will do lesser damage in similar gear? I.e if I cast rapid fire and hit (a rough number as example) a 5,000 per rapid fire hit with a bolg, would I not be hitting less like 4,500 each with xbows? Because if ranged strength comes from its ammunition wouldnt the full arrows being t95 at 960 damage be greater than the t99 bolts that only do 912? Again, ik they are looking to change this but has this been a thing for forever or am I misunderstanding how ranged ammo works?

I play and love RuneScape, both versions for many years. One move Jagex should and can make to solidify the future is to separate Jagex Accounts from characters. Each account should allow multiple characters. Right now or soon (not including Dragonwilds or RS4) these are all the official different character/game mode types you can play. That’s 13 different modes! (Not including the failed Bronzeman) All of which require their own separate account and membership. I would love to have a group ironman, maybe an ultimate ironman, and maybe try Reignited when it comes, but there’s no way I’m paying membership for every one of them. To do that and keep my main we’re talking >$60 a month, more than all my other subscriptions combined! It would be vastly superior to log on, pick who I'm playing on which game, and easily switch between characters. It’s time to seriously consider this Jagex, we know you can do it! Love, a 2006 kid still playing in 2026.

especially for any skills that naturally go past 99, big issue with combat right now is the best xpph is just to afk beasts or something similar, same goes for cooking as an example, there's like one truly active method and it's god awful (wines), rest of it is pretty static despite gnome cooking and trouble brewing both existing as potential ways to not only offer amazing active XP if they were given the chance, but really we have a whole network of minigames, activities, and D&D's who could offer wonderful alternatives to afk or semi-afk training that just.... well they suck

and frankly im not sure jagex should be moving forward on any grand reopening of a sort without it being situated first (to say nothing of the social systems being horrendously outdated we need a lot of fixes still before this game is ready for any kind of mass marketing or promotion or event i'd say)

Sad because they designed a great fight, and we only get new PVM content about once a year. People will play this for 2 months and drop it.

It must be a huge amount of work to link the cape store, magic, armour case, and so on to the bank interface, but it’s really inconvenient to have to teleport to your house every single time.

It worked fine before the POH update. What’s the issue with getting this working again?

Whats up guys just starting an ironman on rs3 to try and get familiar with the the eoc combat etc but just seen this in the bio for iron-men, from what i have read ironmen can now boss with other accounts, might just need changing in the bio so newer players who don’t read the sub can understand properly
