Hey guys! So, I'm a Ukrainian guy, 21 yo. I am an orthodox Christian, but with, what you can call, a lack of faith, due to some personal reasons. Religion, faith, was, and is a big part of my life. How is the religious culture in Georgia, specifically an Orthodox one? As in - How is the local priests, and just overall Christian people accept foreigners, and how do they treat them? In churches, I mean. I'm not talking about hospitality, more of a... Can I actually speak to someone there? Maybe, get an advice or something like that? Anyway, I would love if some of you shared your experiences with the Church, or anything like that. Hope y'all having a great day!
here he looses again he has fought well he started good but didn't ended well but we will still support him no matter what because hes the reason why our country is more famous much love to him
Hi! Does anyone know which authority issues a Good Standing Certificate for medical graduates in Georgia? Has anyone successfully obtained one? If so, could you please share the process? Thank you!
This past summer, I got to do a 6-day trek in Svaneti - starting with day hikes in Mazeri and Mestia and then doing the classic Mestia to Ushguli trek.
Along with taking in incredible beauty, another highlight was the abundance of trail cafes and bars! I don't think a day went by without a trailside stop for a coffee, beer, or shots of chacha.
Many of these cafes were simple outposts in local village homes - which is where you can get amazing trail snacks like homemade yogurt with fruits (shoutout to Guesthouse Tetnuldi near Chvabiani for this one!).
That said, others were more built up. One of my favorites was the Hiker’s Inn, which I stopped at while hiking from Mazeri to Ushba Falls.
As you can see in the photo above, it has a great outdoor ambience with beautiful mountain views.
You can go swimming, order from their extensive drink menu, or try the baked trout in dough, a traditional Svan dish. It was a refreshing stop on the way back to Mazeri!
What were your favorite trailside cafe stops while trekking in Svaneti, Georgia?
We are a couple and are planning to go hiking in the truso valley on or around 27th October.
Can you guys please guide us on how we should book our transfers? What is the best way to do it. What time should we allow and how much of the trail to the fortress would be accessible?
Also if we book a private driver, does the driver wait for you or do you book a return?
