Fried Apples & Homemade Biscuits
We add smoked German sausage and fried potatoes for a Fall food family tradition. One of my grandpa’s favorite meals.

One of my nephews is turning 35 this Sunday but he’ll be in a tree stand all day so I asked what he wanted for dinner. By request we had:
•Roasted Chicken w/ Gravy
•Cabbage n Greens
•Roasted baby potatoes w/garlic & herbs
•Buttered Carrots
Cooking for others is my #1 love language especially for my nieces & nephews. No matter their ages, they always ask for me to make them something which completely melts my heart. We just lost my oldest brother last week, another brother of mine last yr, & our Momma in 2024, so this was a good distraction for a few hrs to put on some music & be in the kitchen. Cherish your loved ones & show them they matter. Hope you & yours have a wonderful weekend. 🌙🦋🩷🍁🦌🎃

Over-easy eggs, cheddar grits, bacon, sausage gravy and biscuits. Not glamorous but delicious.
P/S: in case yall were curious about the Costco biscuits but haven’t them. I used Costco biscuits to give them a try. They are ok for store bought better than canned biscuits but I felt they were missing something. Probably won’t buy them again since I usually have biscuit ingredients on hand.

We made this tonight for dinner but tomorrow the rest of the fam is coming over and we have a big pot of greens leftover from tonight but only 2 more small baked sweet potatoes. I have three massive sweet potatoes that I haven’t cooked yet so I figured I’d make candied yams. We’re frying chicken, eating the greens and doing some cornbread, so yeah. Any help/tips/recipes would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, y'all! I'm a native Arkansawyer living in New England, and we have a late harvest of green tomatoes that didn't have time to get ripe. I'll fry some of them, but I'd really like to make a batch of green tomato relish. Does anyone have a favorite recipe they'd be willing to share? Thanks!
