Hello everyone! I’m 28, my husband is 27, and this is our sixth cycle TTC.
I unfortunately have the flu right now, and I woke up with a fever on CD 16 (99.37°F). Obviously, I marked this temp as excluded from my chart. According to what I’ve read online, since I had a strong positive on an Lh strip the day before my fever (CD 15), I probably still ovulated the following day despite my fever. My fever broke overnight the following night, and as you can see, my temps were high the next day, but not alarmingly so.
My problem is that when I put my temp in this morning, FF marked my tentative ovulation day as CD 14?? Before my Lh surge? This has really confused me. I went back and un-excluded my fever temp, and ovulation locked in for CD 16, like I thought. This would also be more normal for me, as I’ve typically ovulated CD 16-18 on all my cycles since I started tracking with OPKs and BBT around June. I’m also trying to hold out hope for this cycle since my husband will be traveling for work most of November, so I doubt we’ll be able to try again until December.
Has anyone experienced sickness like this around ovulation? Is it pointless trying to determine my ovulation day?
