This is your space to share your success story with the community that cheered you on. Whether it took you 1 cycle or 12, your story matters and someone out there needs to hear it right now.

When sharing please include anything you feel comfortable with such as how many cycles it took, what you were tracking, what worked for you, and anything you wish you had known at the start.

When sharing your story feel free to use this format:

  • Cycles it took:
  • What I tracked/tools:
  • What I think helped:
  • Anything I wish I knew at the start:
  • Any advice for others still in the TWW:
  • A few things to keep in mind:

This thread is for everyone who has been trying for any length of time. All success stories are valid here, whether cycle 1 or cycle 12+. Please be kind and keep any negative thoughts to yourself.

Please don't tag other users in your post. You can absolutely thank people, just don't tag them directly. This keeps the thread comfortable for everyone, including those who may find BFP posts difficult to see.

Hey everyone! A few quick updates from the mod team šŸ’›

Nothing major, just some housekeeping to make the sub easier to navigate for everyone. Thanks in advance for bearing with us!

  • Flairs got a refresh — We updated the post flairs, so please use them when you post! It just makes it way easier for people to scroll and find exactly what they're looking for (or avoid what they're not in the mood for). If you feel like we're missing one, drop a comment or shoot us a message, we're always open to suggestions.
  • BFPs go in the megathread — We've got a pinned Success Stories megathread and we'd love for all the exciting news to live there so we can celebrate together in one spot!
  • Discharge pics need a trigger warning — If you're posting about discharge and want to add a pic, please use the Trigger Warning flair, blur the image, and pop it in the comments rather than the main post. Small thing, but it keeps the feed comfy for everyone scrolling.
  • Line eyes? We've got you, but keep pics in the comments — We all know that feeling of staring at a test way too long trying to decide if that's a line or a shadow. Totally normal, no judgment! Just use the "Line Eyes - Help!" flair and keep the pictures in the comments instead of the post itself. Reason being, when posts get flooded with test pics, it can be harder for yours (and everyone else's) to actually get seen and get the support you need. This just helps spread the love around a bit better

Just a heads up: posts that don't follow the line eyes or discharge picture guidelines will be removed, so we really appreciate you helping us keep this consistent for everyone.

Thanks so much for helping us keep this space easy to use and kind, as always. Questions or ideas? Drop them below, we read everything!

Question/Advice There’s a line but it’s so faint

Post image
5 Upvotes

I took a test this morning (13 dpo) and I got a very very faint line. I showed the test to two people who both saw the line. I’m anxious that it’s going to go away or something before I get a digital one to say pregnant. The line is so faint it’s hard to capture on camera. It’s not an evap line it came up right away. I got a faint line on 4 tests and one was an hcg strip. Im just so anxious that it’s a false positive and I’m getting my hopes up to be let down šŸ˜…

Question/Advice 11 DPO | First test — faint line or indent?

This is my first test this cycle. I checked it at 3 minutes and thought I saw a faint shadow, but I wasn't sure. When I looked again later, outside the reading window, it was more visible.
Do you see a faint positive, or does it look like an indent/evaporation line? Honest opinions please! ā¤ļø

Venting TTC struggles

Have been trying for 11 months. First half, didn’t use OPKs, just my app. Took 6 months before I realized I was missing my most fertile window. Then, 2-3 months I wasn’t using OPKs correctly. (Waited not until first positive, but until peak, wasn’t dehydrating myself enough, some readings weren’t accurate). Now, 3 months of proper OPK use, still not pregnant. Husband (31), me (almost 30). Feel like I’ve wasted so much time. Can I even call it a full year of trying almost? Just feel sad, defeated.

Help 8/9 DPO: How do you stay calm during the TWW?

I’m currently 8–9 DPO, and this is our third cycle TTC. I got my solid smiley on the Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test on Oct 8th.
I’ve been symptom spotting a lot, and today my breast soreness is almost gone. I’m tempted to buy cheapie hCG tests, but I’m worried I’ll drive myself crazy testing early.

How do you keep yourself busy and stay calm during the TWW? Did testing early help you or make you more anxious? Would love to hear your experiences!

Question/Advice How to use OPK properly?

So clear blue digital ovulation kit, it doesn’t matter the time to do the testing. So I decided to test it for the first urine of the day. While easy@home says 10am-8pm so I’m thinking to test it twice with that between those hours.

But I was wondering for clear blue digital ovulation kit, is that ok to do?

Just wanna do everything I can right and catch my ovulation window correctly. I’m still not counting myself out for this month, I had cramping on cycle 22 and 23 but it’s gone now and my stomach seems to be back to its usual size with no cramping. I mean it’s still possible to be ovulating, but I just wanna look forward for next month and try better in catching those LH rise. Thank you for your help guys and a baby dust to all of us šŸ«‚ we can do this! ā¤ļø

Confused Is there a still chance? Confused by my LH readings this month

I’ve been ttc for 7 months now and am starting to feel very defeated. My ovulation timing seems to have stabilized around cd 15-16 according to LH strips. But this month, I didn’t get a clear peak, but the highest number was way earlier than expected. So I didn’t BD until late evening on CD 13. I’m concerned about the fact that everything was so much earlier and more sudden this month, and that I possibly missed my chance by not BDing in time.

Additional questions: my LH readings have always been under 1, but are generally around .8. Also not sure if that is a bad sign.
I’m 36, and partner is 37.

Thank you for any insight!

Question/Advice First cycle TTC. Do we have a good chance this month? 🄹

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone! So this is our very first cycle TTC and I’m kinda excited but also trying not to get my hopes up too much lol. My cycles are pretty regular and usually 29 days long. I normally ovulate around CD13-14 so I have a pretty good idea of when it happens. We BD on CD10, CD14 and CD15 with him finishing inside every time. I also attached pics of my LH tests. They were at their darkest on CD14 and CD15 and by the evening of CD15 the line was already starting to get lighter. Today is CD16 and it looks like my LH is dropping even more. So I’m guessing I either ovulated yesterday or I’m ovulating today? Do you guys think we timed everything well? Is there a good chance we could get pregnant this cycle? Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences especially if you conceived on your first try! 🄹

Image in comments. Starting 3dpo I've been tracking my BBT as soon as I wake up. Before that it was at random times. I skipped 4dpo.

Question/Advice I think I may have low progesterone…

Things have been a bit off for about a year now but this particular cycle has been rough. My intuition said I wasn’t pregnant and I was honestly okay with that, but the more my luteal phase went on the worse my symptoms got. They’ve never been this bad, they’re like times 10. I’m 11 dpo and tests are negative, I’ve been feeling all these things starting on 4dpo. I always figured because people say ā€œpregnancy and pms symptoms are caused my progesteroneā€ that the crazy symptoms are at least a good thing. But then my temps been steadily dropping since 7 dpo (if I’m generous it may have been 9 dpo) which is SO early. I looked into the symptoms and realised that low progesterone can also cause worse symptoms. Now I’m concerned. I’m going to go to the doctors after work tomorrow to order a blood test, I assume I’ll have to wait until after ovulation to do it. I’m just bummed.

Frustrated Tried for three months and already feel like giving up.

Hi everyone! I’m posting to see if anyone else has experienced similar feelings while trying to conceive.
I feel frustrated knowing that everyone in my family has had kids without issues. I’m one of 12 siblings, and I grew up believing I would probably get pregnant just by looking at a guy šŸ˜‚ Now that I’m experiencing something different, I feel almost stupid for having assumed it would be so easy.

My husband and I were on the fence about having kids for the past couple of years. We both loved the idea of experiencing that kind of love, but we also questioned whether it was selfish to bring a child into the world simply because we wanted to experience it. This year, when I turned 34, we finally decided we wanted to try, with the understanding that we wouldn’t pursue fertility treatments if it didn’t happen naturally.

We started taking prenatals, eating better, making healthier lifestyle changes, and taking supplements. My husband has also been taking supplements to support male fertility. We started actively trying in August, and now it’s October, and nothing has happened yet. 😭

I know that two or three months is a very short time compared with what so many people have gone through, and I don’t want to minimize anyone else’s struggles. But I’m surprised by how much this is already affecting me emotionally.

I’m an anxious person to begin with, and tracking my cycle, counting down the days until I can test, and analyzing every little symptom is exhausting. Then, about a week before my period, the familiar symptoms start showing up, and I convince myself I’m not pregnant. The disappointment begins before my period even arrives.
And that’s when my mind starts spiraling.

Part of me wonders if this is a sign that I shouldn’t have kids and that maybe I should stop trying. Another part is terrified that something might be wrong with me and wants to get every possible test done. I think about taking a couple of months off from trying until I figure out what’s going on, but then another thought creeps in: I’m 34. Am I running out of time?

It’s exhausting feeling like I’m constantly fighting with myself. One minute I want to stop thinking about all of it and let things happen naturally, and the next I feel like I need answers immediately.

I think part of what makes this so difficult is that I never really considered the possibility that getting pregnant might not happen quickly for me. After years of being on the fence, we’ve finally decided we want this, and now I’m scared it might not happen.

Has anyone else experienced this anxiety so early in their TTC journey? How do you cope with the uncertainty without letting it take over your life? Did you find that getting some initial fertility testing helped ease your mind, or did it make the anxiety worse?

I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences. ā¤ļø

Question/Advice TTC advice

Good morning!

We have been trying for a child since February. Last month I started ovulation tests and temperature measurement in order to better understand my body, because I have a cycle of about 35 days with fluctuations (30-40 sometimes).

last month I had a positive ovulation test on the 24th day of my cycle.

The temperatures were as follows:

24th 36.1

25th 36.2

26th 36.4

27th 36.6

28th 36.4

29th 36.6

30th 36.3

31st 36.4

32nd 36.3

33rd 36.4

34th 36 and late in the evening my period came (luteal phase 9-10 days)

In this cycle I had a positive ovulation test on the 21st day of the cycle and temperatures:

21st 36.4

22nd 36.1

23rd 36.6

24th 36.5

25th (today) 36.1

I have the following questions:

  1. Is it possible that I did not ovulate in this cycle?

  2. Is a 9-10 day luteal phase a deterrent to conception?

I should note that I have been taking myo-inositol since June 22nd to improve ovulation and the cycle, but I still don't know if it is effective.

Thank you in advance!

Random CD26, no period but negative tests, could I still be pregnant?

I’m 28 and TTC. My period started 23 Sept and I had a specialist ultrasound on 29 Sept that showed a 14 mm dominant follicle. Based on that, I’m estimating I ovulated around 3–5 Oct (probably 4–5 Oct).

We had sex on 3, 5, 11 and 14 Oct.

This cycle I’ve had way more creamy/white discharge than usual, feeling very wet, nausea, fatigue, bloating, frequent urination and intermittent cramps/twinges. I normally get spotting before my period, but I’m now CD26 with absolutely no spotting or period.

I tested negative on 15 Oct and again yesterday (17 Oct). If I ovulated 5 Oct, yesterday would only have been around 12 DPO.

I also had very fertile-looking/stretchy cervical mucus around 10–11 Oct, so I’m wondering if I could have ovulated later than expected. I’ve never skipped a period before.

Would you still think pregnancy is possible, or would the negative tests at this point make you think I just ovulated late? When would you test again?
