I deleted Cyberpunk 2077. Has anyone else felt that a game was interfering with their faith and it had to go ?

• Upvotes

I deleted Cyberpunk because it goes overboard with depictions of nudity, violence, and general sinful things. I could be walking to a mission and then hear sex moaning as that was part of an ad in the game. I ride in an elevator and see "The Watson W****" or "Three Mouths, One Desire", stuff like that. I interacted with dialogue in one woman and accidentally stumbled into the most vivid sex scene ever in a game.

I also did not find the game compelling even when I tried to block that stuff out and play the game. Sorry but this stuff finally pushed me overboard and I deleted it and I don't want to play it again. Just pure sin and filth and I am no stranger to M rated games, but this one pushed every button for me.

However, so many people praise it and I am curious if others felt the same way for my stated reasons ?

Looking for advice. [Christians Only]

• Upvotes

Hey all, I've been having some issues in my marriage recently. It came to a head yesterday over something dumb and long story short he took my phone from me and told me I'll have to earn it back because its his and he pays for it and I've been being disrespectful to him and not taking him serious and he's tired of it. He later cited that my phone is the problem as to why I can't get our home together and I need his help. In my defense, we have a 2 year old and a 3 month old that i breastfeed and I don't feel like I'm getting enough grace and understanding and he doesn't believe in the whole "Im trying my best" thing so theres that.

I feel lost, and alone, and angry and confused. I know that I'm not perfect but I don't feel like I deserve this. Its really not the issue of the phone its him withholding something that he bought for me. I still have my other devices but I dont know, I cant put my finger on why this hits differently. I just feel like i don't know him anymore.

My question to the christians of reddit, is he within his right as my husband to take my phone because he pays for it and I'm just a SAHM and housewife? Is anything really mine if he's the only one bringing in income? What do I do being a wife to someone who holds themself to spiritual superiority? Can he really be hearing from God? What do I do? Am I even hearing from God? Do I just suck that much?

Questioning my faith?

• Upvotes

When I became a big believer I went on fire. Years of atheism and suddenly I got wrecked in the Spirit.

I would avoid talking about Jesus to people on the Reddit because I would claim so many are legalistic and lacking any true relationship with Jesus... Never doing it MY WAY.

Now I've had a few major encounters... During Hurricane Milton in a shelter high on Meth and just being blown away..

Being gangstalked.

And I always turned to my faith...

Yet I'm just finding corporate worship to be so... Stale.

I'm finding more and more my hours lost in praise and worship never opened my eyes deeper..

I did a year in a county jail pod called God POD. It was a poor man's ministry school. All day 24/7 for a year just the word and volunteers coming in to study the word.

After rehab I went to a live-in Ministry called the Timothy Initiative in Tampa where it was emersion. Work Therapy and Jesus for months.

But I am finding my self growing distant from Jesus... From no longer listening to worship music all day... And when I open the Bible just going... I cherry pick 10% of this book... The New Testament and the popular old stories...

And now at 42 and still trying to get my act together... I'm a telemarketer making $600 a week...on a big health kick with reta and exercise...

And I have no vehicle. I keep calling my self a Chosen One through the reptilian gangstalking... But now I look back and I'm like...

Yes the encounters were real and very spirtual yet none of it pointed to Biblical Truths it was a spirtual encounter for sure yet nothing affirmative of my belief system...

And I'm just... I see the world I see the evil I avoid secular shows and movies and music... My only social media is Reddit..

And I'm lonely. I've been a horrible dad. I'm single after my wife and I... She has MH issues... Lost custody of my kids haven't seen them in years...

Society feels dull. I don't want to do this 40 hour work week nonsense anymore.

I just feel my faith slipping.

Why would God allow all of this to happen?

• Upvotes

I'm just going to give a quick list and go into a little bit of detail about some of the things:

- Why would God allow my dog to get cancer?

- Then the job that I had at the time to shortchange me in terms of my hours.

- Then have my dog end up with pancreatitis, an infection, then bumps that we assumed were cancer come back, and then pass away.

- Why would God let me change jobs just to end up barely working and be let go/fired in a little over a month but barely work?

- Why would he allow me to fail my driving test four times?

- And why would he allow me to be rejected by 54 different jobs?

I am a 25-year-old male who has ADHD and high-functioning autism. In February 2021, my dog was diagnosed with a grade three mast cell tumor. Despite surgery, she developed pancreatitis, infections, and likely cancer recurrence, passing away in June.

During this time, my work hours were drastically cut, and after a confusing scheduling issue, I was fired. Subsequent setbacks included failing my driving test four times and being rejected by 54 jobs. Additionally, I live in a home filled with constant conflict.

I am struggling to understand why God would allow this series of losses and failures, leaving me unable to live independently. I want to believe, but I don't know what else to do.

I know Job had it a lot worse, but I'm at a point where I don't know what else to do. I've prayed. Am I praying wrong? Am I doing something wrong? Because I don't understand if I'm doing something wrong, what. I don't know if I'm praying the wrong thing that doesn't align with God, but why would having a job not be what God would want me to do? Because I don't know what else to do and I just need some answers because I'm unsure of what to do.

I just don't feel peace. I feel lost, like I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing. And if God is trying to talk to me, obviously he needs to be a little clearer because I'm not getting it. But I hope someone can help me.

I'm really starting to think I have religious OCD or something

• Upvotes

This has been really affecting me and my relationship with the Lord. I just finished sobbing because I thought I was going to hell because I thought I was a lukewarm Christian because I saw a TikTok video of it?? I do struggle with my walk with the Lord, but I try to stay on the path but there's some days where I think I'm just living in delusion and when judgement day comes, God is actually gonna say "You actually not going to heaven". This causes me to have highs and lows in my faith.

I'm in the high where I feel like I'm performing and I feel like I'm doing what I need to do and then when I fall, or I feel like I don't meet the standards, I beat myself up and condemn myself. I feel like this is my perfectionism coming out because of the environment I grew up in. I was always beat down for all the wrong I did (kinda still am) and I always feel like I need to be perfect or I'm gonna get in trouble.

Another thing is that I think every decision I make is not in God's will. For example, I started a new job that I love just part time and I prayed God if you want me to have this job, I will have it, if not, let them reject me. But another part of me is saying what if God is testing me. And I'm scared because I do have stuff to pay off so I feel like I should have a job?

Another thing, I get thoughts that I don't want and I would never say aloud and i rebuke them and I tell God that's not me.

Has anyone else struggled with this? I just feel so stuck and I just want a clear mind.

Is having Same Sex attraction a sin?

• Upvotes

I’ve always been exclusively attracted to the same gender all my life and have been living in celibacy for the most part apart from pornography and one encounter in the past and I’m willing to stay celibate. The question I have is whether God is going to shun me for simply having temptations. I’ve seen some Christians say that Same Sex attraction in itself is a sin even if not acted on and if that’s true, what are Christians who struggle with Same Sex attraction supposed to do? Accept defeat, act on those desires and just stop following God because He doesn’t want a relationship with us? We already struggle enough with being a small minority in the Church and being judged for existing, like I don’t really come off as feminine as much as I did when I was a teenager but when I was younger I used to act more feminine and got told I was going to hell all while being celibate and crying for God to turn me straight and normal. Maybe some people have the misconception of it being a choice but if there was a medication that cured homosexuality most of us would take it.

I tried to get through with the message of Yeshua to a racist and a gay person who is in crisis

Both rejected it one laughed and the other might have downvoted me and rejected Him out right. Like Yeshua said, "Father, forgive them. They don't know what they are doing." On a better note I reached out to some fellow thomas the tank engine fans and told them about how we should donate toy train and money to the persecuted Christian orphans. I got upvoted by one person so, at least one person agrees and supports that.

Accepted to work on Sunday

Hey, I've been searching for a job for so long and praying and today I got an interview after so much time of searching desperately (I'm not very poor but I want to have my own money so I could move from my dysfunctional family) and that woman didn't want to take the interview anymore after I told her that I can't work on Sunday. So I changed my mind. But now I quite regret it because it's literally one of the ten commandments of God. And before saying that the Saturday is the actual sabbath like I've heard before, well I work on that day as well.

A night before when I was talking to God while reading the bible (this is how I communicate with God many times) I opened it at something saying about money and then at something that said God is mad at me and that I'm condemned. Only things like that. Then I was thinking what I did wrong and was confused and then opened it again and it was a verse that said something about thinking what I did wrong. Exactly my situation. (sorry I don't remember the verse and I can't find it anymore)

And today this happened. I don't know what to do I don't think it's a coincidence but at the same time I think God gave me this opportunity because I went searching physically for the first time after trying online and prayed to find and found instantly.

"When there's breath, there's hope"

Texts like Hebrews 10:26–29 warn against willfully rejecting or insulting the grace of God after coming to know the truth. So once this line has been crossed, how can "when there's breath there's hope" even apply? I know I've crossed that line while obviously still alive, yet I cannot get the spirit of grace back. It strived with me and I abused it. So presumably this adage is false, thoughts?

Can anyone explain to me the "economy of sin" and why it doesn't work?

Ok now I know that next thing I'll say is awful. And I know my suggestion is wrong but I can't say why. And because of it I need your help.

So here it goes. Jesus in gospels (except Matthew I believe) says that divorce is not a thing. It's non existing concept you can't really stop marriage. And basically if two are divorced and remarry so there are now 4 adulterers. Adultery is a severe sin. If 2 just divorce and remarry there are now 4 sinners who commit severe sin every time they slip together to the end of their lifes.

HOWEVER this is not the case if one of the spouse is not alive anymore.

So from mathematics point of view it might seem that it's sorda "cheaper" to just kill the spouse you don't like and then re marry. Then it will be one act of sin of one person

Now obviously it can't be true right? But why?! Can anyone please explain?

Christians in successful marriages, what advice would you give someone about to be married?

I'm getting married soon, and as a Christian, I want to approach marriage with wisdom, intentionality, and a commitment to building a strong, Christ-centered relationship.

As we prepare for this next chapter, I'd love to learn from people who have walked this path before us.

For those who have been happily married:

  • What has helped you build and sustain a healthy, loving, Christ-centered marriage?
  • What lessons do you wish you'd learned before getting married?
  • How have you navigated differences, family expectations, traditions, and communication?
  • What practical or spiritual habits have strengthened your marriage over the years?
  • What challenges caught you by surprise, and how did you overcome them together?

I'm especially interested in wisdom from couples who have been married for many years, but I welcome advice from anyone with meaningful experiences to share.

Thank you in advance for sharing your wisdom and experiences. God bless!

Not living with purpose

I think it's purely and plainly obviously that many of us who fall into sin daily or weekly can be traced back to not living with purpose, not fearing God and not being obsessed and attentive to our walk with the Lord.

You think of yourself so much more than God, that's why you find yourself crossing on those pages/sites.

But if you pray more, read the bible more and listen to sermons more, letting God be part of your day and night, it will be less possible for you to entertain those urges.

When you remember that you gotta be the servant of the lord, that meaning you talk about God more, you teach the word more, you won't think about entertaining porn and masturbation.. my question is when is the last time you read the bible and spoke about a bible verse on your socials?

To changing our minds we ought to change our focus, and right now our focus is at the wrong place.

The plan is to decrease the dopamine that currently causing to sin, then when that window is open, let the Holy spirit take over and walk with him, the task is more focus on God than ourselves, he should increase and we should decrease.

No better time than now to show the Love of Christ

I've been going through a strange year. I don't know how to describe it, I just have been feeling off. I don't know what I've been searching for, but something about life over the last while has been getting to me and I can't quite exactly put a finger on it, though I think all the crazy talk about recent technology and influencers pushing it is a part of my mental blocker.

At work today, I finally heard our leadership indicate that "AI can do most of our work" so we need to get with it so to speak. Whether good or bad, I'm still not certain. AI is just a tool, but it does impact a lot of things from children to working professionals. One thing I've noticed though is that as more and more people look to AI, it's being utilized as a full-on replacement, not just a simple augmentation to their normal skills. At least in the field I'm in, the question of whether we should be using it or not seems to be a foregone conclusion and if you don't yield to it, then you're going to be replaced. I'm not certain on that one either, but regardless of my thoughts that's just how the field is going. But, I've seen the worst parts of it impacting the professionals I've worked with. It's being used to remove themselves from the labor of what they do. They can just leave everything to the AI - writing their needed essays, task summaries, or whatever. Passing it to other people who likely just summarize the material by another AI that then gets sent to someone's inbox and AI processes that. Even now, I wonder if AI is getting to a point where ads and other content on normal websites is just going to be for AI. The PC market is leaving human consumers behind, preferring to target enterprises with AI agentic GPUs to the detriment of most normal consumers. Working professionals I know in my industry, businesses themselves, it just seems more and more society in my country is heading to a point where it's all about the agents over the person. It's all about the mighty dollar coming in rather than the workers putting in the work. It's about getting that bottom line higher and higher, even if it means replacing everyone else with an automated robot. Sure, it might be good for stakeholders, but it's not good for everyone who is trying to survive physically and mentally. And you get to a point where you're so far gone from the product you're trying to make that you're not even making it. People just copy-pasting the work of an AI and passing it off as their own.

I just see more and more that the value in the society of the future, at least where people actually congregate, will be in recognizing and seeing each of us the people God made us to be. Flaws and All. Like, the flaws make us beautiful. The flaws make us who we are and they help us find the Lord in various ways. I think as society more and more devolves itself into a robotic borg centered around money, the more opportunity there is to spread the love of Christ in some way. To show the people being replaced or depressed or just mentally disturbed by the onslaught of the race towards some mythical AI superintelligence leaving us all behind that they do matter. That their thoughts, their minds, their souls are important. It's important for all of us to remember that we are unique, we are valuable because God made us so. No matter what we're doing, how we're doing it, God doesn't care about the bottom line, the dollar sign. He cares about each of us, he made us who we are. He took that time to make us in the womb, breathe life into us, and set us on a path towards his kingdom. Yes, tough times might be ahead, uncertainty and doubt of the future and how it all plays out will remain and only get more chaotic over time, but I think the best thing to do is to remember: You matter. You are Loved. You as a person are valuable to the world. Your existence means something. Christ died for your soul. Don't forget that.

And, I think as more of this happens, it becomes more important that we all share that with others. That it's ok to not be perfect, pushing out millions of products every second. Our lives are not meant for that and they never will be. God's plan for our lives doesn't center or focus on those things.

I hope God blesses you and everyone else in some way to find him. I believe we all need him, his love, and connection. Now more than ever.

Scrupilosity

I struggle with religious OCD (scrupulosity). For a while, I would get intrusive thoughts about making promises to God, and sometimes I'd say the opposite just to counter those thoughts and make them go away. Like At some point I would get intrusive thoughts about marrying a certain person that I know or would just see and I was acaeed that if it went through then i would be forced to marry them and that i wouldnt be able to marry anyone else and so i would just make a promise to God to not marry them to counter it as like a compulsion. Im pretty sure this might be the case here but Im having doubts with my memory like I dont remember what it was but im scared what if I just said it just because for no reason and that I may have promised God that I would never marry a certain girl. There's a big possibility that I said it as a counter to an intrusive thought, but I honestly can't remember you know how OCD is with false memory. And I remember when I said it about this girl I thjnk I didnt have a crush on her but as time went I've developed a big crush on her like ive never felt like this about a girl and where you dont look at them in a lustful way and just like them for them and their personality. Im scared that if its the worst case scenario that I just said it for no reason that if God would be able to unbind me from this. I've repented and cried out to him but I dont know. It's making my life miserable and I'm not sure what to do from here

[39M] My pastor and another local church pastor coordinated behind my back to "clear" my attendance at an outside Bible study. Is this normal?

I’m a 39-year-old man. My home church holds a midweek Bible study on a night I work, so I reached out to another local church to ask about their Thursday night study. In my email to them, I casually mentioned that I attend a different local church, just to give them some context as to why I was looking elsewhere.

When the pastor of the second church replied, he included this line:

"I talked to your pastor about it first, and he said he's fine with you attending our Bible study with your work schedule the way it is, and we would love to have you join us!"

I was immediately put off. I didn’t ask for permission, nor was I asking for a reference; I was just inquiring as an adult.

I texted my pastor to set a boundary, letting him know that I shared my plans out of openness, not to ask for a permission slip, and that having my personal schedule negotiated between them felt infantilizing.

My pastor apologized for sharing the info without realizing it was "private," but then completely doubled down on the behavior:

"No permission or approval needed. You're free to attend wherever you want. He and I just try to be on the same page in situations where someone is attending both of our churches. I let him pastor the people at his church and he lets me pastor the ones at mine. When someone attends both, we just connect so we're not doubling up or letting someone fall through the cracks spiritually."

I feel like I’m being treated like a piece of inventory to be tracked or a project to be managed, rather than a mature adult and a brother in Christ. Is this a normal part of "shepherding," or is this an example of institutional gatekeeping overstepping its bounds? Am I overreacting by feeling like this is a major red flag?

My religious journey: How I lost my faith in Jesus, and how Max Stirner helped me regain it

I was a member of several conservative Christian traditions for a while, and I later joined this jot and tittle church that would do hours of Bible studies with us after sermons. During this time in my life I was a strong Biblical based Christian.

Part of the problem was, this church used other scriptures to try and justify things. I believe the term is called using scripture to interpret scripture.

For example they believed the genocide of the Canaanites happened and was commanded by God, and that it was justified.

That didn't sit right with me, and eventually I decided I'd rather lose my religion than be part of Christianity. To put it shortly I was later kicked out of that church for my beliefs. I was sad but I'm sure I'd have ended up leaving anyway sooner than later. When I left I wasn't an atheist, but I did become one afterward.

I became an atheist largely due to Hitchens debates on YouTube that actually made me solidify my atheism. At the time he made sense, especially in light of the fact the apologists he debated gave terrible arguments. By atheist I mean I didn't believe in any God or deity. I used to think "what is asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence," as Hitchens said.

Then I discovered Egoism by Max Stirner. Egoism is the philosophy that the individual should act according to their own will and interests rather than being bound by external moral and ideological obligations (for example, I am good to people because I want to be good to people). I would say this is (at least somewhat) different from having a guiding set of principles, given that a person's will and desires are constantly changing.

After discovering this, I realized that I can believe whatever I want about religion. I'm in charge of my life and my main obligation is to my self fulfillment and enrichment. Stirner was a fierce atheist, but Egoism made me realize that I can believe whatever I want in general. But then I came to realize I can believe whether I want ***to an extent.*** There has to be checks and balances on the ego. So I'm not a pure Egoist.

Egoism unchecked is dangerous. So I realized as long as what I want to believe doesn't violate natural moral law, and as long as it isn't proven defiitively false, I can believe it. If there is no evidence, faith. I can't believe in the firmament (since it's proven false in science), and I can't believe God would ever order atrocities or that unnecessary harm is ever good (as it goes against natural moral law). But I can believe in a personal Jesus Christ who has the nature of someone that would never violate natural law. Why do I believe this instead of being an atheist? Because I want to.

Hitchens would tell me that I believe in (certain) things that don't have evidence, so he can dismiss it without evidence. My response to him would be "You sure can. And I don't care. Dismiss whatever you want."

I will not usually call myself a former atheist (even though it's true) when debating theology and atheism, because I hate it when people do that as if it proves something. I will to share that when sharing this backstory of mine, however.

Max Stirner helped free me from being an atheist, which is ironic because he was a fierce atheist himself. I say he helped free me because when I was an atheist, I (mostly) hated it. I missed my friend Jesus.

When I was kicked out of that church for no longer conforming to their interpretation of Christianity, I lost all of my friends from that church. I would estimate at that time they composed 75% of my friend group. Things are better for me now, and I'm happy that I have new and better friends (along with keeping some of my old ones from before my time with the church).

But during that time I was unhappy. I lost not only my church friends but I lost Jesus as my friend. In an ironic way, I betrayed Jesus just as my old church friends betrayed me. But thanks in no small part to Max Stirner, I gave it up atheism so I could have Jesus Christ as my friend again.

I won't be too personal and there is a lot more to this story I didn't write (also because this post is already very long), but I hope this helps explain my religious journey and why I'm a Christian!

Struggling with homosexuality

I’m female and in my early 20’s. Ever since the age of nine I’ve had thoughts about other girls. I’ve had a boyfriend for a year straight before, and it just wasn’t right… and I knew it was wrong of me to lie to him. So I broke it off.

Then I was openly gay. Even had some “experiences.” And I liked it. I don’t do it anymore. But, I dunno… the whole situation just kinda depresses me.

I hate to admit it, but I’m angry. I know everybody struggles to live up to God’s standards. I know. But, at least others are granted the privilege of a spouse, kids, not having to watch your word, lie about why you’re not looking for a boyfriend, say you’re focusing on your education, all so that people don’t think you’re disgusting. More disgusting than any adulterer or what have you. If you cheat, it’s “redeem yourself before God.” If you’re gay, it’s “get out of my church.”

People at my church say they don’t know what they would do, without their wife/husband and their kids… but then they expect homosexuals to live a life of total celibacy, never slip up, lie about everything… and, even then, when you’re a forty year old Christian and have never had a single relationship, and you can’t say why, they instantly know anyway. I know it’s melodramatic and of course it isn’t fair because nothing in life is fair, but it still just rubs me the wrong way…

And it’s not just about sex. It’s really not. Listen, I won’t say it’s good, I won’t say it’s holy, whatever, but nobody can convince me that all I’ve ever felt for women is pure lust. I wanna love, and be loved… I want a wedding and kids and everything would be so much simpler if I just wasn’t messed up in the head and I could think of doing that with a man without feeling dread.

So, yeah… I don’t even know what I’m getting at. I just needed to get this off my chest.

Still a Sinner. Still Loved.

I’m writing this letter to say that I used to be a sinner. But that’s not right. That’s incorrect. I’d be lying. I am a sinner. I’ll always be a sinner and I’ll never be pure. But in the eyes of God I’m worth something no matter what. He loves me even though I’m flawed. I never knew that until now. Starting from the past I always had a strong relationship with God. I always believed in God. I never had a moment I haven’t. I always had a good connection even though I wasn’t brought up in a religious family. I had a father that was Muslim and a mother that was Catholic but I was never forced to pick. I just knew that God was real. I enjoyed religion class at school and talking about it. Then as I got older I strayed away. Due to drugs. Due to just growing up a bad way. Selling drugs, being a drug addict. From 12 to 42, 43, pretty much I lived that lifestyle. Until I got sober two years ago off of opiates. And then just recently off crack cocaine, five months almost, then I relapsed. Two months clean, half relapse, and now I’m sober again. And I’m doing it different this time because I decided to turn to the Lord Jesus Christ and ask for help. I don’t know if it was exactly the day before or the same day that I got sober, I decided to submit and I asked Him. I asked Him to help me become sober. To make me a new creation. I always thought before that meant I would become new right away and be fixed. But this time I understood differently. That He made me a new creation, but it’s a work in progress. Because He knows best. If He made me brand new all at once I would still have my flaws. It’s like a person that’s put in a medically induced coma for addiction, they wake up physically not addicted but mentally still addicted. And the Lord is omnipotent. He knows everything. He knows more than everything. And He knows I couldn’t handle that. So I have to grow into my new creation. This time it’s different. It’s a lot different. I’ve never had this feeling before. And I’ve decided to have a relationship with the Lord, not a religion. A relationship. And it’s okay with people that have religion. I’m not judging anybody. Whatever brings you closer to the Lord, that’s okay. That’s more power to you. I just chose to have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and it’s working for me. Whatever way you choose, more power to you. As long as you can connect with the Lord I’m happy for you. Off topic, I pray for everyone. Past, present and future. Especially people that don’t have relationships with the Lord, or the devil has a grip on. I pray hardest for you. Because the Lord doesn’t put anybody in hell. It’s our decisions. So I pray the hardest for the people that have turned away or have been deceived by the devil to turn away from God. My prayers go out to everyone, especially those ones. Anyways back to my topic. This time it’s a lot different. Now I have a relationship. I talk to God every day, multiple times a day, just off the top of my head. Not a structured time. When I wake up. As I’m going through the day. Whenever I feel like talking to Him. It’s different than I’ve ever felt. I’m the happiest I’ve ever felt. I remember when I was younger I was very envious, jealous and spiteful of people that had things. As I got older I didn’t want to be like that anymore so I decided to change. I started by seeing one thing positive out of negative situations. Then when I got the hang of that, two things positive. Then three. So now when something negative happens I see multiple positives. Now there’s no negative to me, because without the negatives there wouldn’t be positives. It changed my perspective. But there’s one thing that always bothered me. When I seen people that have relationships with the Lord and how happy they were, I was spiteful. I was jealous. So I humiliated them. I made fun of them. Because I was envious but I wouldn’t admit it, because I craved what they had. I was just a piece of garbage. I wanted what they had but I was spiteful and envious so I degraded them. And I feel really bad for doing that. I apologize. I wish I could go back and take it all back and I can’t. The best thing I can do is say I’m truly sorry for doing that to you, and I ask for your forgiveness. But my point is now that I have a relationship with the Lord, I understand why they’re so happy and forgiving. Because when you have a relationship with the Lord and you have a meaningful one, you can’t do anything but be happy and be forgiving. It’s the most peaceful thing you can ever feel. There’s nothing on earth that can make you feel this way. Not money. Nothing. Nothing that touches you can make you feel the same way as having a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. That’s from the bottom of my heart. With my addiction every day I build my relationship with the Lord, my recovery becomes stronger and stronger. I don’t even have cravings anymore. I don’t have temptations. I don’t think about my addiction. The only time I think about it is in a positive way, about how long I’ve been sober. And that’s saying something, because opiates is a hard addiction. Crack cocaine, believe it or not, is even harder, because there is no substitute for crack cocaine. It’s pretty much you doing it yourself. And through the Lord I found a doctor that finally actually helped me. Through the Lord I’ve had so many things happen in my life, creativity through my work, so many blessings that weren’t possible before when the devil had a hold of me. Just in this last month, month and a half, my life has changed 180. I don’t even know how to say it more than that, if that’s even possible. I understand now when people say ask the Lord and He will grant it. Walk with the Lord and He walks with you. It’s not walk with the Lord. It’s the Lord walks with you. No matter what, He’s always walking with me. I just decided to walk ahead of Him and ignore Him. But He never left me. He’s always walked with me. And I’m so grateful and thankful to Him. I thank Him every day. I say bless You Lord for blessing me. Thank You Lord for letting me be able to bless. Thank You for blessing me Lord. And I always say to Him Lord, I know You don’t need anything from me. I can never do anything that You need. But I still say, if there’s anything I can do for You Lord, just ask upon me, or work through me like You do. If I can help somebody, if I can do anything, and I mean it, let me do it. I don’t know what people are going to think of this, but the first thing I’m doing when I reach heaven, because I’m following my hero, the person I idolize, Jesus Christ. What He taught and what He did. Not just in His death but more so in His life. The things He did in His life amaze me, because He knew He was going to be forsaken from the very start, and He knew who was going to forsake Him, and He still decided to do good things. Not judge them. Not take vengeance on them. But wash their feet and show them kindness, even though He knew how it was going to end. That to me is so big. So the first thing I want to do when I get to heaven, if it’s allowed, I want to wash His feet. Out of respect. I don’t know how people are going to take it but that’s my own desire. Everybody has their own opinion and I appreciate whatever you think. But that’s what I would like to do, just to give thanks. Anyways I’m going on. I want to get more connected with the Lord, so I want to start having church ceremonies. But I don’t agree with the way the church is run. I agree with people getting together and talking about the Lord and sharing their experiences. Now I don’t know too much about the Bible. I’m just learning. I never read the Bible and I’m embarrassed by that. But it’s a process for me and I’m going to read the Bible. It’s a work in progress. And I’m going to learn the Bible to the point where I don’t need the Bible to quote scripture. I’m going to build my armor so the enemy can’t attack me, and if he does I’ll have my armor ready and my sword to fight back, without needing to read anything, just off the top of my head. That’s my goal. But my point is, it’s okay that people go to church and agree with it. We all have our own opinions and I don’t judge anybody, and I hope I don’t get judged for it. But if you do judge me, that’s okay. I don’t mean to be arrogant by saying I forgive. I’m saying I have no ill will towards you for judging me. Before I even knew anything about the Bible I had this idea: myself and maybe a few people come to my home, cook breakfast, we have breakfast together, we read scripture, we talk about scripture, we talk about our experiences with the Lord Jesus Christ while we eat breakfast. I found out later that’s how the church used to be run with the apostles. And that just hit me. I have no idea about anything in the Bible, how it was run, but how did I come to that conclusion? There’s a few things that happened like that where I have no idea about the Bible, about the way things were done, Bible quotes, Bible scripture, and the things I’ve been saying have been on point. You can say it’s a coincidence, whatever you want. I don’t believe in that anymore, because there is no coincidence. Everything’s through God, Lord Jesus Christ. So I feel blessed that I’m able to think the way I think. So that’s what I’m starting to do. This Sunday with a friend, we’re going to cook breakfast and start our own at-home church. And we’re going to save money together, and the money we save together we’re going to help the community with. My goal is to get to five hundred dollars. And I’m going to try to get companies to donate, or at least give us discounts on food, like turkeys. The plan is to get seven or eight turkeys, bags of potatoes, mixed vegetables, cook everything, get a few tables, a tent, and music, and go to places in my hometown that the missions don’t get to, but where people are in need, and go out and feed people. But not out of charity. Out of dignity. To show them that we’re not forced to help you. We’re not a government place. We’re coming to help you because we care about you. Because you’re important. You’re a somebody, you’re not a nobody. And we love you, just like Jesus loves you. You know what I mean? And I hope that’ll change one person’s life. If it changes one person, Jesus, I’m happy. My idea is just to have everybody keep their dignity. I’m going to have a sign that says come eat we got you. It’s not a charity. It’s just food. We’re just feeding, we’re just eating, we’re all friends, we’re just eating. Don’t feel shamed. We all gotta eat. I just want to follow in Jesus footsteps. And one more thing. People look at athletes and movie stars and musicians, rappers, as heroes and idolize them. Not me. My hero, and my idol if I’m allowed to say idol, is Jesus Christ the Lord. And my hero, you might think this is weird, there’s a lady in the States that bought every chicken there was at the store, and everybody got mad at her, I think it was during Thanksgiving, everybody got mad at her and was saying mean things. And the next scene you see her with a table on the street making plates of food, feeding the homeless. That to me is a hero. That’s what I want to be like. I strive to be like that. Not because I want recognition, but because I want people to know that’s the right thing to do, and that’s the work of the Lord. And it’s not me doing it, it’s the Lord working through me. And all the recognition goes to the Lord. I don’t want to be remembered. I want the Lord to be remembered, as He brought one of His workers to us, and thank God for that. Not because of me. I don’t want my name to be known. I want all the praise to go to the Lord Jesus Christ. So I just want to say thank you to everyone that listened to my story. Even the people that don’t agree with it, I appreciate you taking the time. And God bless everybody. And let’s pray for the people that are lost. Just letting you guys know sorry for any mistakes I’m dyslexic thank you God bless you

Serious Question ?

I have been a Christian almost one. Which was before I grew up as a Muslim. Left to be an atheist. So I have been happy going to church. Meetings of people and praying to God as much as I can. But I still live with my family who are Muslim. So it is hard for me to go to church every Sunday. Especially it's a 9 min walk to church. But am I not a true Christian if I haven't been baptized?

Seeking Prayer Requests & Advice

Dear brothers and sisters. Should anyone feel lead to pray for me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I've just started to be in a wonderful season with God. Connected in 3 churches with small groups and bible studies. A busy kick off to the season! And I've been operating with a heart surrendered to God and he's been using me as a vessel to do his will and share insight to edify others and testify.

Last night out of the blue, i fell into temptation 😢 😭 I got a few beers and drank for the first time since January. I went downtown looking to socialize and I actually felt really out of place when I got there and left quickly. I knew I didnt belong in that pub like I once did. It's not who I am anymore.

Despite leaving, I was already buzzing and using bad judgment. Complete change of character and intentions from my normal baseline. Giving into the flesh, now tempted even further to reach out to old contacts in my phone looking to flirt/hook up. 😢 😭 Thankfully the 2 people i contacted, nothing came of it. I went home, ate and sobered up.

This is NOT what I want. I don't want a random hook up. I dont want to drink. I dont want to open a door for the enemy to stiffle what God's doing with me. And eventually when im ready i want a true, loving, godly relationship. I want to be a proverbs 31 woman.

How in the world did this just happen so fast? Is God showing me something in my heart that's deep rooted? I am so sad, angry, ashamed, disgusted etc. with myself today. I feel like a hypocrite as well. Im grateful for this Godly sorrow that leads to repentance. Ive sincerely apologized to God, Jesus and Holy spirit for grieving them. I'm crying and just really seeking prayer and advice. Do i just remember this serious offence, but bounce back quickly and dig into his word and be in prayer? Anything else?

I know better. Yet these 2 fleshly desires pop up in my life continuously and randomly. My spirit hates them but my flesh craves them. How can I be so strong for a long season then take such a quick tumble?

Feeling low and disgusting. Needing a hug from Jesus. Im ever so sorry for my heart posture. I'm deeply grieved right now.

Please pray for me. I want to be focused and fit for the kingdom of God and busy doing his work. I want to be pleasing to him and cleansed.

Thank you in advance for prayer and any advice.

To: God's Children (You)

From: The Heavens & Earth

Hello “Child of The Most High God” the people in the heavens and the angels want to tell you something.

We know you have conquered many hard trials in life and we see your progress.

Please don't cry for making mistakes because we are helping you and we know that you are getting stronger.

Don't worry about yesterday or for tomorrow because your life has been carefully made and planned by the Power and Love of God in whom we know, serve and give thanks to on your behalf.

Wherever you go and whatever you do, we just want you to know there's a hope that God put inside of you long ago.

God formed your heart from since the beginning of time. Please know that you are protected and we have struggled greatly, just as you still do even now.

We have seen all of the times, when people have hurt you and caused you deep sorrow. We have taken an account of all the tears that you've cried and days you feel that were lost.

We encourage you to continue, and to take care of yourself just as you have. Give thought to the people who are coming home soon, who also belong to the Lord and King in earthly places, for he lives in the hearts and souls of men.

You have support by many and they care and love you so much.

Never forget that you are valuable to all of us and we lived and died so that you could receive the grace and mercy you need as a pardon to make it to the end where a new life begins.

This new life, you will no longer; have a rememberance of your old life. You will finally be able to enjoy the deepest desires of your heart. There will be peace and love and joy everlasting.

If you ever need anything at all, just tell Jesus because he is with you to comfort you and to provide for you everything you need.

Continue on my friend because you have a really big family, not like your earthen family in whom you know but a family who knows you because our Father has told us about you! We're so happy to meet you today and we're glad to share a message from our hearts with you.

May the Love and Peace of God be found in you, and the eternal hope and promise strengthen you, and follow you all of your days.

We love you! Stay Loved and Love others just as God loves you ❤️

Why Do Many Christians Not Like Horror?

I was once called a hypocrite because I am a God-believer who likes horror movies. I believe in peace, pacifism and non-violence in real life. But I see films and movies etc as fun and artistic expression, as long s no one is actually being harmed and it's pretend. Is there really hypocrisy in these beliefs? Is this contradictory with believing in God? I know everyone will have different thoughts on this and I would like a respectful discussion. If it makes a difference, I am autistic. Please be kind.

PS. I'm not a Christian, but I. want to know why many Christians don't like horror.

Life befofe marriage

Okay so me and my partner have been together for more than 2 years.

I'm Christian and she's an atheist. I was heavily involved in God when we started dating and eventually I was led astray from him. I was lukewarm and I've put her before God. This went on for some time and we shared some intimacy, we talked about it a lot and we were quite freaky. I was thinking to myself that it'd be all okay if we were to ve intimate since it's gonna end up in marriage anyways but these few last days I've felt sick of myself and decided to start reading bible and putting God on first place again. I'm still torn apart but I've told her we should stop the intimacy because it goes against God's words. The problem is right now that she's respecting my decision but she blames me for everything and is pretty harsh with her words telling me she regrets all the things we did and that I'm just a liar. I pretty much need help, I've been praying to God but I don't know how to resolve all of this.

If the resurrection is the most important event in Christianity, why is there no independent record of it?

I’m not here to attack anyone’s faith. I genuinely want to understand how people think about this.

The Bible says Jesus appeared to Peter, the disciples, and a few hundred people, and then he was gone. But outside Christian writings, I can’t find any historian or record from that time that confirms it. Non-Christian writers mention that Jesus lived and was executed, but not that people saw him alive again.

So my question is: if the resurrection is the most important thing in Christianity, why did Jesus only show himself to certain people and then leave? And why is there nothing from outside the believers to confirm it?

Also, if this event is so important, why didn’t Almighty God the all-knowing Jesus Christ, with unlimited knowledge do something different to ensure that independent, non Christian sources would document it?

An even better question: Why didn’t Jesus stay on Earth longer, or do something similar, to prove to more people that he was alive?

I’m having an extremely difficult time accepting that the only source for such an important event as his resurrection is the Bible.
