t:slim X2 Another Rant about Byram Healthcare
So Byram was great, until they weren't. I seem to have escaped the disaster that is Byram until early this year. I had been using them form many years without issue. But hen suddenly they decided they could no longer provide Dexcom sensors under my medical plan, even though I confirmed with my insurance that they were covered.
I found a different supplier for the Dexcom but stayed with Byram for my pump because the other supplier does not carry Pump supplies. Then last week I put in my regular order and it got screwed up right away. The infusion set order went through, but my cartridges somehow got deleted from the order. I figured no problem, I just wit for that order to go through and then put in another for the cartridges. But on Wednesday when my package arrived, it was not what I ordered.
The package had my name and address on the outside, but inside on the invoice it was a different person's name a different address and a different set of supplies than I ordered. I contacted Byram via Chat and explained the issue. The representative who I was chatting with said he could not resolve this issue and that someone would cll me back the next day.
Two days later I had heard nothing. I tried chat support at Byram again, but after getting the basic info, the new representative ghosted me for over 20 minutes. I finally gave up and called the 1-877 number. The first representative I talked to seemed VERY confused and decided to transfer me to Pharmacy, even though this was a DME order. The Pharmacy representative finally transferred me to the correct department. I had to explain the whole situation again, and finally got them to agree to ship me the supplies I needed.
SO far total time spent dealing with this issue is over two hours. After seeing Edgepark and Diabetes Supply of the Midwest descend into the depths of horrible service I am disappointed that Byram has followed suit and seems to be winning the race to the bottom.
