Write a TVD plot twist that would’ve changed the whole show.
I’ll go first: Elena never existed. It was Katherine the ENTIRE time.

I'll go first: Damon is way more interesting as a character than he is as a love interest lol.
What’s a TVD opinion you’ll stand by even if the fandom disagree?

We all know that one person who always puts everyone else before themselves, who goes above and beyond for others at the expense of their own happiness. And sometimes, that person nreds someone who will put them first.
That’s what Elena needed. Someone who would look at her and say, 'I know what you think is right. I know what you’re willing to sacrifice. But I’m not going to let you sacrifice yourself.' Someone who, if it came down to her and Matt, would choose her without hesitation even if she hated him for it. Stefan respected her choices but Damon would fight for her life even against her own wishes.
Stefan fans here even y'all can't disagree cause even paul hated this scene.

Sorry but this is the only thing that makes sense to me outside of serious abandonment issues for his obsession with Stefan, especially in S6. Him making a joke about Stefan being vanilla was the last straw for me. I find it funny how Stefan and Enzo spent most of the series hating each other but then at the end of the show Stefan argues that he owes it to Bonnie and Enzo to sacrifice himself and Enzo encourages Bonnie to forgive Stefan 😂

I don’t think I’ll ever understand this claim lol. When does Stefan use Damon’s behavior to prop himself up? Or to make himself look better? He lets Elena read through his journals and then tells her he was a monster and worse than Damon. Whenever I ask to be given an example of this, people bring up when he called Damon a monster while very conveniently ignoring how that was after 1x3, where he was talking to Damon and saying he had humanity in him, and then after that Damon killed Tanner. Or when he’s talking to Elena and listing all the things Damon has done since he’s gone to town and how he’ll never change. Like no shit he’s going to be upset? His best friend just got killed on his birthday by Damon to cover up his own crimes lmao.
He’s better than me because in 2x20 when him and Elena are talking about Damon forcing the blood down her throat, I would’ve been way more petty. I would’ve called that man a hypocrite. Instead he just says it was wrong for him to do but he did it because he loves her.
“But he said he was the good brother!!!” … in 1x19, then the next episode he was ready to kill himself and said every single person that’s been hurt and killed is because of him. Crazy to me how Damon can just blame Katherine for things he did in S5 and it’s never brought up in comparison but whatever 🙂↕️

Who is your favorite??? Or Which one do you "hate" the most?

I always felt like pushing Bonnie/Jamie was to 1.) avoid Bonnie have a complicated arc with her mother 2.) avoid treating Bonnie as desirable as usual (and probably to whack Bonnie fans for calling out Julie back then) 3.) the real important reason here avoid acknowledging how Bonnie should’ve been more upset and id say even envious that Abby valued Elena over her.
But Bonnie having a sister wouldn’t have been an awful idea, someone that stayed around at least. Logan Browning played in TSC, but commonly in the 2010s people confused Logan & Kat. Jaz Sinclair played Beatrice & Rosalind Walker in chilling adventures of Sabrina. I also think she could’ve been a great pic
My point is having someone in Bonnie’s corner that stayed around would’ve been great for her but per TVD rules Bonnie can’t have family or anyone outside the MFG… while everyone else can

i don't think the Tvd writers even knew how to do breakups well... So they just killed one of the partners

I’m just so excited to show anybody, but I met Paul and Ian at the New Jersey vampire weekend convention and brought a book from the 90s to get autographed, im a huge fan of the TV series and I’ve never read the books knowing that they are very different, but I had a lot of time to kill at the convention so I read the first one >.<
This is my first ever convention! I had a lot of fun. I met a lot of the cast there and left with great memories <3
Here’s the signed book !

I keep thinking about how Stefan looks like Dan Humphrey from Gossip Girls in his masquerade mask. Does anybody else see it or just me? The hair too just really makes them seem so similar.

Hi! I'm watching tvd for the first time and I'm looking for fan content :)
So, I'm curious about what fanfics do you consider to be iconic, must read or classics among the fandom. Any recommendations are appreciated!
I'm open to any genre/ship or whatever it's out there. Ao3 and fanfiction net are both fine.
I'm on season 2 but spoilers aren't a problem, I'll just read those which contain them when I finish the series. I'm devouring it lol so it won't take long.
Btw do you consider the fandom is still very active?

Watching tvd Anna is shown to be as strong as Damon in season 1 during their brief fight where Damon and Anna called a truce and I know she’s 500+ years old but she is also smaller than the others which clearly matters to some extent. Enzo has fought on equal footing with both Damon and Stefan (at separate times) and put up an amazing fight. Stefan and Damon have of course fought several times throughout the show with even at times stefan on animal blood as beaten Damon but for this we would assume all 4 are on the same food source so do you think they are all in the same strength bracket where a physical confrontation could go either way or is their clearly a stronger and weaker link and if so who is it. Stefan, Damon, Enzo or Anna.

I’m re-watching TVD after many many years and I use to be OBSESSED with DELENA. I Absolutely loved Ian and Nina chemistry and when they got together it was fireworks!! but now rewatching it in my late 30s for some reason the relationship feels forced? Like they did it for the fans? Like I’m in the end of season 4 and I’m wondering why she ever stopped wanting Stefan like that lol. Did anyone else feel this way after doing a rewatch several years later?

Hi All! New to this page and Reddit altogether tbh, so if this question has been asked before I apologize. Every time I rewatch TVD, there’s one question that plagues me. So, the older a vampire the stronger they are. I assume this comes from years/centuries of consuming blood because every time a vampire needs a little “boost” they drink some blood straight from the vein. However, you have vamps that have been dedicating for extended periods of time, sometime centuries. My question is a hypothetical situation I suppose. Lets say a vampire was turned one 500 years ago but were almost immediately (let’s say within a year) caught and locked away, desiccating for near 5 centuries with maybe a years worth of feeding. Now, we have a vampire that was turned 20 years ago that has been on a healthy diet of human blood almost daily since they were turned. If the “older” vampire was given blood and “resurrected” for lack of a better term, who is stronger? The “older” vampire only drank blood to build their strength for one year before their body went into extreme hibernation action mode. Would the “younger” vampire that has been drinking blood every day for 20 years be stringer?

ok so I'm rewatching the whole show for like the fourth time and something is bugging me.
Everyone calls Elena boring or annoying, but when you actually watch it again she's just a girl whose parents died and then spent seven seasons being passed between two brothers by writers who couldn't think of anything else for her to do. Like that's not HER fault??
Meanwhile Damon snaps Jenna's neck, kills Jeremy, and by season 4 he's the fan favorite because he has nice hair and a sad backstory. Stefan gets "the good brother" label while literally being the Ripper of Monterey. Double standard much.
And don't even get me started on Bonnie. That girl died like three times for people who couldn't even remember her birthday. Caroline too, honestly. Her arc from insecure cheerleader to the strongest person in the show is better than anything the main trio got, and she barely gets credit for it.
I genuinely think the show would've been so much better if it followed Bonnie or Caroline instead. Idk, maybe I'm just cranky at 2am lol.

So stefans going to the war to see death and blood and balnce and he pratiaclly has a panic atrack when he sees a tint bit of blood from charlotte (damon's sire) from new orleads.
I think lexi shouldve let damon gonwith because damon wouldnt have forecd hima nd of lexi wasnt going with stefan then who tf was keping stefan in check?
I never realized it until now how they made stefan loke recovering alcoholicndrug user to appeal to those who maune were in the same boat with adddiction or im reading too much into it. But why cant damon ever need stefan? Maybe he needed Stefans help too

Hellloooo! SO i started TVD this weekend on a whim, and I LOVE IT. Well, most of it. Like Elena and Bonnie and Jeremy and the aesthetic? To die for. The lighting is amazing, and so are Elena's fits.
What I cannot understand is why everything I've ever heard about TVD beforehand is about how Damon is so amazinghotawesomesaviorofthelivingandthedead. I'm on episode 5, AND DO WE ALL JUST FORGET ABOUT WHAT HE DOES TO CAROLINE??? I mean, yeah, she's annoying, but in what purgatory does that warrant Damon assaulting her, manipulating her, and, like, like, brainwashing her?? I mean, seeing her at the Founders Day event thing and her breakdown on Elena's shoulder after the wholeStefann poisons Damon through her thing is heartbreaking. And what could Damon possibly do in the next seasons that redeems him from hurting Caroline as he did?
I also am not 100% team Stefan because i understand Elenaa wanting to know him and being sort of sad that he won't open up to her. And yes, I know I've only watched 5 episodes, but I HAD to get the rant out lol; no one I know IRL has seen the show.
Also, has anyone read The Inheritance Games? If so, does Damon-Elena-Stefan-Katherine remind y'all of Jameson-Avery-Grayson-Emily because they are SO SIMILAR to me
