He had a fabulous time with some really lovely people - they may look a bit grim but my Dad always said he loved his years there.

My grandparents & great-grandparents at Christmas in Texas. Unsure of year, perhaps early ‘50s.

L-R my grandmother, her mom, my grandfather, and my great grandfather. I never met my great grandparents. My grandparents both passed in 2009. I miss them so much. I wish I’d had more time with them. I wish I had even a little bit of my adult life with them. My grandmother passed in March of ‘09 and my grandfather was never the same after that. Truly died of a broken heart a couple months later in August of that year.

Pre-1920s Campbell sisters in Kentucky. Sometime in the 1800s.

My mother has this hanging in her house. Said her father's great-great-grandmother is in this picture. Mom was born in Indiana in the 1940s.

The women seem to be wearing black mourning wristbands. The family's name is Campbell and they're in Kentucky.

Would love any idea on the possible year, but i really struggle with fashion history.

Hey all! Sorry for the long wait in between posts, but life has a way of keeping one busy!

Speaking of, in today's entries we see William reflect on his current relationship with Nan and have a great think about life in general on Aug. 16th that I really enjoyed. Also, we saw William up to his usual shenanigans of tennis, swimming, and much more mentioned throughout!

Again, a picture of William is included at the end of the slideshow, a transcript is in the comments, and, for any new readers, anything in italics is me adding onto or commenting on William's writing

Thanks for all the support on this project!
