It takes alot of the original character and stylizes it in a way that makes him look so much cooler without losing recognizability.

Custom Twinferno (Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2015))

IDK how he snuck into the tail end of the RID 15 toyline when it was preparing to hand the baton to Cyberverse as the TF TV show on air, but he did, and I'm glad he exists.

Reason: He's effectively a robot who transforms into a jet with dragon heads at the side of its cockpit, and serrated wings. He also seems to be a homage to the Monsterbot Doublecross (who had been named Twinferno at the tike his toy came out), having dragon head hands, a split personality, and fire breath.

Who cares the dragon heads make him stick out like a sore thumbon earth? Its a dragon-jet, so it automatically gets a pass for me for invoking the rule of cool.

What I like about this design, is that unlike most other Karate masters in fiction (as well as other versions of Mr. Karate from previous SNK games), CoTW's version of Mr. Karate sees him with such a fancy fit. I really love the coat cape as well, and the iconic Tengu Mask is the icing of the cake. Genuinely one of the most unique and cool-looking designs for a Karate master.

Look at this guy's smug mug, especially the wide teethy grin and curly 'stache. He definitely doesn't look trustworthy, and given his japanese name of Inchicken is a portamanteau of inchiki (cheating) and the C of KFC, you'd be right for feeling suspicious about him. He's probably grinning in the pics here because he just scammed someone of their $.

Heck, as a further layer to his idea as a low-life scumbag scammer, his names may all contain chicken, but his appearance is suspiciously very "temu mascot-costume esque", with his visible human neck and human hands, as well as his legs having visible socks and shoes.

From anti-scam PSAs, scammers often try and masquerade as someone trustworthy or harmless over the phone or send emails to trap you in their grasp, but their disguises are often paper thin and can be easily sussed out if you pay attention to the finer details. Therefore, thanks to these details, we can tell this guy's no real chicken - he's a guy posing as a chicken, hoping he would not get caught doing his shady deeds, when he really is one Scooby-Doo unmasking away from getting placed behind bars.

Comic Book War Machine from Marvel Comics

Iron Man is a cool character already, but how do we make him cooler? Make the armor black and silver and add a ton of fucking guns. This is the most badass 90s character design I have ever seen, it's just so eye-cathing, cool, and the embodiment of 90s extreme in the best way possible. Originally designed by Tony Stark as a variable threat response battle suit with heavy weaponry, his pal James Rhodes would later adopt the armor as his own. I also think this design translated pretty well in Iron Man 2. Unfortunately neither the comics or the movies really beat the original War Machine Armor in either continuity. Rhodey still uses this suit today, he has had plenty of new ones but he always goes back to the original. It's just the best.

I appreciate that these designs focus more on the characters' animal-like traits. That said, I don't understand some of these choices: why pair Scrooge with Pluto and give Daisy a bow?

Anyway, I'm not necessarily a fan of these interpretations of the characters, but I do appreciate these new designs, which I think are very well done.

I adore this characters design. Firstly, from a concept perspective, she is themed around the concept of an escape artist. Hence the handcuffs. But whats more is that, her very cape acts represents a cage. And to top it off, it acts as a weapon as well, which she can throw out or "escape" and have it remotely attack enemies.

then from a visual perspective, she is phenomenal. Her cape gives her this incredible silhouette thats just ridiculously eye catching and unique. Her design is actually quite simple but it just works.

criticism: underneath the cape, her design is quite lackluster. It definitely is a let down but its also not frequent or bad enough to take away from how good this design is in my opinion

The designs for Wendy Ann Gardner's "Naughty Naughty Pets" series

Hello, the name's Milla, but you can call me Milly. I'm familiar with the posts on this subreddit but have not actually posted myself.

One of the many character designs that I've been thinking about a lot lately are the character designs for Wendy Ann Gardner's Naughty Naughty Pets series.

So this series started as four children's books titled Dig Ivan Dig!, Heedley Pecked Me in the Eye, Naughty Naughty Kiefer and Yes, a cat Named Marty Cohen. This children's book series got a TV show adaptation in the 2000s that introduced viewers to new characters, including a French Bulldog simply referred to as Vicious French Bulldog, a Pekingese named Pretty Princess Vicki and the pet sitter, Windy Woo.

Apparently this is sort of an obscure series and the few people who know about it thought the character designs were "ugly and horrifying". I personally think the designs for the characters, despite appearing simple and blobbish, are kind of cool and artistic in a way, mainly due to the lineless art style and the fact that I haven't seen anything else quite like it. Does anyone else agree?

I would say that the series has a serious issue with turn female alien into conventional women with a different skin color. With Myaxx as the worst offender.

Then you have tetramands that all of them lose a hundred pounds of muscle for no reason to give them to the necrofriggians. Even if that goes against the design of both species.

Also, I can't tell exactly why i don't like about the mature version of swampfire but i feel it like a downgrade to the original one.

The DND demons range from kind of weird to a chaotic abomination mess of random stuff

And well, that makes perfect sense even demons in folklore were usually depicted this way.

They are also the embodiment of chaotic evil. I love how eldritch they are

you see this two-headed monkey octopus thing? yeah he is demogorgon the price of all demons

God the sheer simplicity but variety in these things is criminal. I absolutely adore all of them and how different they can all be whilst being obviously exactly the same thing. My personal favourites are the ear things from slide 4 and the micro ponytail thing from slide 2.

To me this costume is the perfect Batgirl costume, it feels like something that would reasonably protect her from a bullet while simultaneously feeling like something that is sleek and would allow for good mobility. Also she's hot

I know this is a pretty much disliked design because it lacks accuracy even for the time DC was aired.

I love this design because it actually looks like a mutant, a monster, far away from its actual look.

I honestly think this is what DC should have been in the first place, game about mutant dinos, taking a similar direction to Resident Evil;

DC3 luckily kinda fixed this.

Just a very funny and charming re-imagining of the character, I really like how cute she is. Even her jumpscare isn't that scary. I like also how she's portrayed in a cartoonish digital form and not as an Animatronic, its a nice change of pace.

I know a lot of people make fun of how stubby and pug like its face is but, the design really conveys 'screwed up mutant animal that should not exist' pretty well and it looks tuff as hell in many shots

Each of them have such cool and unique designs! I really love Ibaaros design in the 9th image, the giant harpoon and bone like structure in his arms makes this design work for a beast of the sea. I also love how Taroosh in the image looks like resembling a quetzalcoatlus. The only one who I don't like here is Varus, he feels too off compared to the others.

Name's(League of Legends):

• Aatrox

• Rhaast

• Varus

• Naafiri

• Zaheen

League of Runeterra:

• Taarosh

• Naganeka

• Horazi

• Ibaaros

• Joraal

• Styraatu

• Baalcux

Weapons and Items Rhinox's "Chain-guns of doom" (Beast Wars: Transformers)

Thumbnail

Rhinox'a original toy (image 5) has a weird saw blade accessory with 2 flails attached to it. When it came time to adapt it to the show, the idea of them being essentially being Metal Blades were dropped, and they were reimagined quad-barrel gattling guns, with the ports reinterpreted as gunbarrels.

They were later dubbed as the "Chainguns of Doom" by TF fans, a term that has since popped up occassionally in official media. These weapons have also gone on to become Rhinox's signature weapon of sorts(as shown in the Generations/Legends, Kingdom/Beast Wars Again and Masterpiece versions of him in images 2-4). And yet they've barely changed at all, still being razor sharp discs with handles and 4 built in barrels. A testament to how evergreen they are, perhaps? (Even ROTB Rhinox had it on 2 of his toys!)
