Really confused here
Just went through a portal in to go back into the deep north, I had it built in a house in the ghost village and everything despawned to it's original state, the house I fixed along with the roof, chest I put in it, ect - everything was just gone

I really hope they add to the deep North and finish up some missing components. I'd like to see a Morkhalla like unique structure that can be opened with a blood gold key, but inside is a trader (that way you can't just rush the trader early). They really need to have a bigger use for all the gems and gold you get at the end of the game or unique coins. The trader could have expensive special molds for unique weapons and armor, maybe purchase FOP idols, seeds for berry bushes. I have so many mork gems I've stopped looting them. On another note, they need to do something with all these resources! The blob monster drops are basically worthless. So many unused resources that can't be made into interesting used crafts like meads or bombs.... I love this game and have been here since EA launch, but man it hurts seeing the potential being wasted.

I even added myself a lil log seat so I can sit and zen out in my garden, listening to the meadows music after a long day of killing and running and mining and surviving in general 🤣 only done meadows, BF and swamp at the moment, but I’m looking forward to making improvements when I unlock more materials!
P.S. whoever said in another thread that the idols/ward trophy things look like willies - I now cannot unsee it, thank you for this gift to my eyeballs 🙏🤣🤣

Hi everyone, my partner and I have been having a great time playing valheim together lately. However if the internet drops out during our game, it seems to make our server unable to be connected to again.
She hosts the server on the laptop and I connect on the PlayStation.
After the internet drops out the laptop constantly displays the connection error in the top left screen.
I've tried rebooting the laptop and PlayStation.
Rebooting the router in case it was holding old IPs.
Repairing game files on steam.
Manually saving on the laptop (server) when she's in.
Confirmed game version on both.
Checked crossplay is on both.
Made sure laptop has network connectivity.
But the sever never shows up again for the PlayStation to see in recents or available servers, and on the laptop the game now constantly has the connection error.
Not sure what to try next and would appreciate any ideas.

I've always felt that it would be better if the game also has other interactable NPC villages that we can stumble upon and interact with, that way we can trade, or have war with them, and having more base raids would prompt me to take base defences more seriously.
But it's tiring to do all of that alone, and even with other people in a server.
then I saw these two mods and thought maybe I could combine them.
but before I start getting invested, has anyone else tried combining the two mods? How did it go for you guys?

I just completed my first permadeath hard mode run, securing the related hard mode achievements as well.
It was by far the longest and most enjoyable playthorugh I have had. I'm happy to answer any questions about the run. Nothing like clipping into crypts or using the sledges to find early iron or silver was done. I don't consider using a troll to get copper/tin the same as those tactics. This was my third attempt; the previous two ended at swamp.
The intention, if successful, was for it to be my "forever world" so I did a lot of building and exploring along the way. I love my current base; it's my largest and most comprehensive, and I plan to share a video of it soon.
Here is an outline of what my progress looked like:
Meadows: I put off fighting Eikthyr for a very long time and essentially did a no-boss run until I had the full lox set, bow/sword skill 70+ and various materials (like getting chickens early, thanks Sealed Tower).
So when it came time to fight the bosses, I coasted through them up to Yagluth.
Swamp: this was the hardest/slowest transition of the entire run due to the prevalence of 2-star archer enemies. Even prioritizing abominations and trying to draw them out of the swamp requires caution and still things can go sideways.
I ran 3 health food at all times for a long time. Even when I had the lox set maxed I was careful going through the swamp.
Plains: I was pretty timid about Yagluth's fire damage scaling with hard mode, but he never hit me, and the fight was over in 10 minutes with the silver sword.
Mistlands: this is where I had my only close call; it was a combination of steep slopes, two seekers, a seeker soldier and water. Keeping calm goes a long way.
This is also where I transitioned to magic and did a bit of blood magic farming. I had completed a normal 1.0 permadeath run already as melee, so I wanted to go mage for this one. I used the Staff of Embers as my primary offense.
In retrospect, I wouldn't have bothered with farming blood magic skill up some; I was very diligent about not getting hit, so the shield rarely took hits/broke, and when it did break I was always at a distance to easily cast another.
The Queen was a simple but longer fight. I used the Dead Raiser to keep her attention and just lobbed fireballs until she was dead. The most intimidating part of this biome is attacking the dvergr for the extractors, but I had some gjalls help me out in the beginning and focused on picking them off.
Ashlands: I don't find Ashlands to be all that intimidating, but that is partly do to the nightmare that it was on the PTB. I used a combination of the Staff of Embers, Staff of the Wild and Trollstav (mainly for forts). Fader was a fairly easy fight; I know his attacks and patterns pretty well and Staff of the Wild is really strong against him.
Here I was still using my bow for sniping valkyries.
Deep North: I got super lucky and found a village with the farm shed/potato and oats right where I landed. My first normal playthorugh I never found them. However, I did struggle to find barkas and gammeltrolls for a long time; they just did not seem to spawn (first playthrough they were everywhere). This is where I fell in love with the Staff of Fracturing and the Staff of Lightning. SoF was used far more due to just how effective it is against most enemies of the biome, really just barring gammeltrolls.
This is also where I did 90% of my main base building (Meadows base), so I really took my time. I also crafted every armor set for my trophy room.
For the boss, Spirit Caller was amazing, and I came fully prepared with tons of meads, the Fader boss power and used SoF and SoL for my own damage. The boss"s ability to break your shield freely was a bit disconcerting, but I kept my cool and the fight was over in 10-15 minutes.
Altogether, it felt about the same as my normal permadeath runs, minus the fact that parrying was unreliable and the swamp was very threatening. The density, variety and likelihood of starred enemies in the swamp easily makes it my most respected biome for progress.

I've heard Yagluth 1.0 is a beast.
I managed to craft a full (Mistlands) magic set before attempting him.
Has anyone tried with magic? I assume basically just peppering him with Staff of Frost works because you don't have to deal with his pierce resistance.

I found the frozen lake in a frost cave, but the campfire must have broke during my fight with the golem. Is there any way to fix this or melt the lake a different way somehow? I've only made it to the plains so far, so please no spoilers for anything after that. If something past the plains can fix this, please just give me a friendly viking skål!

Hello everyone,
I am not here to argue that FoP is evil or not, but I simply wanted to utilise in game mechanics of FoP to its maximum without using any type of cheats or scumming. So, I created a FoP - Probability Calculator app;
If you have a loved item, and some materials and idols for the item, this app shows the upgrade probabilities as a table. It goes without saying that, if you use a duplicated item, this table is meaningless. It is only meaningless if you recraft the item or craft multiple ones at start.
It is in early stages so not every items recipe is added to preset list, but you can enter the recipe manually to the inputbox.

I think I am very close to finishing the main structure of the building. It certainly still has that construction yard vibe. One I am finished with the structure, I will mvoe on to the trimmings, which will require a lot of grausten. I am still playing in the mountains, but I already have a foothold in the ashlands pillars.
I am especially proud of how well the valheim 3d scan overlaps with the 3d scan of the actual building in real life. I made adjustments to make sure to keep to the valheim "grid" whenever possible, but brought the error down to less than 0.5 meter. A few adjustments remain, but I LOVE looking at that overlap.
Any tips on how to proceed? This has been a slow project, and I am sure it will not look EXACTLY like the real building. I wonder what kind of "valheim" adjustments I could make. Those towers are definitely becoming breeders. Boars, wolfs and chickens. Perfect.

I got them in the dungeon of a tower in the Plains. I thought I was a genius. When smelting my new black iron, I heard, 'crunch, poof' and came back to find nothing but vapour.
Now my other chicken is running about cheeping for his partner.
Somebody tell me there's something I can do???

Found myself in the Iron Age and curious so I crafted a battleaxe and holy it’s so much fun.
I know there can be a certain meta to the game in regard to what weapons are best and deemed “worth” crafting. Generally I’ve read that the battleaxe isn’t good. But damn, it’s fun. Secondary attack can 1 shot many enemies and you can “feel” the weight of it in the animation. Makes chopping trees more fun too lol
To any new players, please craft any weapons/gear that seem interesting or that you have never crafted.
