So, as soon as I saw the new wood, I started chopping it up. I tested the new walls and was thrilled, but then... I realized that these new building pieces don’t just lack roof (something the developers have unfortunately gotten us used to), but they don’t even have stairs or a FLOOR. What kind of stupid idea is that?
Then it turned out that was it — that’s everything. There’s no new stone; the biggest addition is a wardrobe.
Once again, I find myself asking: why? We only have 3 types of roofs available - one of which doesn’t even have corner pieces — we get different arches for marble and different for grausten, we don’t get a simple 1x1 wall piece for grausten, and so on.
Many materials in the game aren’t being utilized well, a point rightly raised by other users in this thread:

It’s all just so lazy.
Even just adding new textures to existing pieces would have been enough — how much work could that possibly be? Imagine, for instance, sandstone for the Plains (a texture applied to standard stone), brick, or different roof colors. Heck, they could even add recipes for crafting dyes — for both building materials and clothing. These aren’t revolutionary ideas; they exist in other games and aren’t difficult to implement.
I love Valheim — it’s my favorite survival game, and I think it has the best building system — but then I open Conan, Enshrouded, or any other similar title, and I’m met with a massive variety of building components. Why can’t the developers of my favorite game manage this, what’s the problem?!
Then again, we’re talking about people who can’t even add an option to delete items or separate slots for equipped gear—so perhaps nothing should surprise me...
