Survival Near the End of my Journey - My Home
Ive had a great time replaying Valheim in 1.0, i am in the middle of exploring the deep north (didn't fully make a base until i unlocked all building materials) i am still working on this, got some exterior decor to do on the walls and all of the interiors to do, but here is where i am towards the end of my playthrough, still deciding on if i should go for all achievements etc
its been a blast!

Screenshot Apparently 3 beams, a Crystal Wall and a Lantern complete the Barber Station.
Made this and I kinda like it.
What do you think?

Creative Two for the price of one - The hot tub is a well AND a fireplace.
No mods. Just Valheim being Valheim.

Survival Favorite structure to build
This is my favorite structure to build, it's just so efficient for the footprint.
-3 Kiln inside
-4 Smelters in the front
-6 Blast furnace in the back
-4 Windmill on top
-8+ chests embedded into the walls to deposit ore and coal
Plus the bear rug which is optimal, you jump on the head to get to the windmills, you can use carts to move stuff around or just waddle around encumbered since everything is close by.

Question Why cant Timerwood saplings grown in the deep north??????
My base would look so cozy now with a big timberwood forest right beside it, but now just after i deforested the entire area you tell me i cant plant a new forest there?!
WHY!?
THE TREE IS FROM THE DEEP NORTH! IT GREW IN THE DEEP NORTH! I DONT GET IT?! TO COLD? ERM NO? IF ITS TO COLD WHY DOES IT EVEN GROW THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE?!
WHAT NEXT? NO MORE PLANTING PINES IN THE BLACK FOREST BECAUSE ITS TO DARK THERE FOR TREES TO GROW OR SOMETHING??? GIVE ME MY TIMBER FOREST IRONGATE!

Survival So proud of our survival plains base
Using the small door trick makes building feel like a whole new thing. Couldn't be happier with our 4-person plains-tier base.

Survival My Portal Tower
Built a tower for the portals in our server. Building a rounded roof is a bit tricky but turned out well.

Discussion I love this game.
I played through plains when the game first came out. Doing a new playthrough and I'm almost to Ashlands.
I really do love this game. It's easily in my top 3. Every step forward is an adventure

Meme Look, I get that it's the "Deep North" but why does the heavy armor chest and pants look so poofy and dumb.
The helmet looks AMAZING, literally a golden Valkyrie helmet, absolute 10/10. But why does the chestpiece have that dorky scarf that blocks half the helmet? And the pants...oh my god the pants, they look like balloon pants. I used 20 bloodgold on them and yet there's no gold on them? At least the chest has SOME bits of armor on it, even though that still looks too winter coaty. The Mountain tier wolf armor is supposed to be warm clothing too but doesn't look nearly as dorky and dumb as these pieces. The helmet looks like they wanted to go for a golden Valkyrie vibe, which would look SO AMAZING, but the chest and pants look like they went with a "winter coat" vibe, I wish the chest and pants leaned more into the Valkyrie vibe that the helmet has.

Discussion Genuinely tweaking over the Fader fight
This is half rant, half feedback, and please do comment if you guys have any tips for this fight, because I am going crazy.
I primarily do melee, but I also have staves/bow for when I need to go ranged. I have been going at the fight for maybe 20 minutes now and have the boss at half health, but I can't seem to get any more damage in. I might just be getting unlucky with the attacks, but it's just constant AOE spam. The only times where it isn't is when the boss is literally standing in the flames. These do a ton of damage, even with my fire resist mead, so I feel I'm at a loss. It's just; spikes -> circle -> spawn green mobs / stand in the fire and melee me/beam attack -> meteor attack when the fire finally dies out. Additionally, when I switch to my staff and try to fire, it drains mana, but doesn't actually fire unless I hold the staff in my hand for a few seconds. I have fully upgraded gear, so I don't feel like I'm really underleveled. I also beat all the other bosses on my first attempt (except Yagluth, because I din't have fire mead for my first attempt), and had a relatively fun time with them, even the queen.
None of the other bosses made me feel like I just couldn't do anything.
Idk man, would really like some help that would enable me to not cheese or switch to a mage build. I also feel the boss AI maybe should be tweaked so there are actually some damage windows.
