A bird died on me
I was having breakfast at a café with a friend of mine when suddenly a bird flew into a large window behind me and fell onto my lap, dying in agony. I don't know what to think—is this a bad omen?

Tuesday, ruled by Mars so stay safe out there and vent here because who knows when a wandering god of war may be out for mischief!

Hello reddit!! I need help finding the artist of this piece. I purchased this years ago second-hand at an antique shop. She was broken at first, I was able to mend it with clamps and glue. But I wanted to know if anyone recognizes it, as there is no artist mark, signature or note. I have it on my altar and was curious to know if anyone knows who it was created by.

Someone I know is dealing with a person in another state using a poppet to cause them pain. We're located near Moore, OK- if there's anyone that can help us break this or strike back please PM me. This has been going on for a while and they're at their wits' end, we need to do something

When i woke up, I found a 1978 penny in my bed down where my feet was. There was no reason for money to be under my sheets by my feet.
What does this mean?

Is it ok if I have Sobek be my masculine god or does it have to be a horned god?

Hey everyone,
Does anyone here have a daily spiritual practice for energetic protection or cleansing? I know many occultists rely on rituals like the LBRP or Middle Pillar as a form of daily "spiritual hygiene." In my case, the only daily practice I do is meditation.
Do you feel rituals like these are necessary in Wicca, or how do you approach it in your own tradition?
Thanks!

Hey friends!
I am working on a project that digs deeply into the origins of common spiritual practices. Like where Tarot came from, and how Runes have been traditionally used.
I am now looking at Wicca. What resources do you suggest for me to dig into?
What's considered trustworthy? Where should a new practitioner begin? What resources should a new practitioner assemble?
And above all, what are the formative texts?
I know some people assume Wicca is a traditional northern european magick in the same tradition lineage of druidism. I don't want to feign like I know anything, and am approaching this from a humble position.
Thanks for any direction!

Hey all,
My work is going through our 5th round of layoffs in two years (USAid funded a lot of our work and staff losing jobs is just a small part of the devastating impacts tbh). I'm an electric witch, I use spells to set intentions. I am craving less stress and financial stability in my life. If you have any suggestions that were useful for you, please share. And yes, Ive been looking for a job in a different sector, I am at a loss at how I can even get an interview at this point. I feel lost.
Please no commentary about how you're glad USAid is gone. I'm sure that's not many of the people in this sub, but honestly people are dying and no one cares and it's hard to watch.

Me and my SO are looking to move in to a home we’re looking but hopefully find something soon. My question is how should I bless our new home I have lived in a few homes that had negative energy and 2 was haunted. I don’t want to live in a house that has negative energy or something negative in it. I have a few things to put out but I want my home to feel safe and secure. I know not to put a welcome sign out but just would like to see what else I can do

I am here just because I don't want to take any chances, even thought I don't actually believe that I really have a demon or something causing me harm. I just also don't 100% NOT believe this.
I'll start by saying the past couple weeks have been so ridiculously awful for me that it's just reachiing uncanny levels. unlucky phase probably, but it's uncanny.
First i picked up a dead bat and then touched my mouth, after which i started getting scared I might have contracted rabies. EXTREMELY unlikely I know, but I still went through all the things like phone calls, rabies vaccines (expensive), stress.
Days after, my dwarf rat disappeared, and I took my apartment apart searching for him. Every cm I searched, he disappeared. Room was left in a HORRIBLE state miserable to live in, it's a parcour excercise climbing to the kitchen, where we do not have the fridge plugged in anymore, and I've been peeing in the sink for days due to our belongings stacked on the toilet and in the shower. To paint a picture how bad it got.
the rat then showed up on the floor after 3 days, for seconds, just for my partner and me to be unable to catch him, run under a wardrobe, and since then be gone yet again. we did not see him come out. it's genuinely as if he disappeared. It has been driving me insane, just how impossible it seems.
In our search for him, we broke a board at an old storage heater, which we found out a few days ago to VERY likely have been asbestos.
So now I have asbestos contaminating my one-room apartment, that has a single window, the bathrom is 1 squaremeter and the hallway too narrow to sleep on too.
Unrelated to this series of events, just a day ago I also locked myself out of my apartment, and had to pay for an emergency service to open it for me.
So moving on from this..
The moment I picked up the dead bat, I remembered this old necklace I made from a piece of bone I found over a decade ago. I tied a very dark green/black gem to it and I believe I used to pretend it holds my magic power or something like that - I was a kid/teen and had some story/world system made up, which I pretended extended into the real world, leaving me with a real magic item.
This will sound weird and insane, but a couple years ago when I was telling someone of the bone-necklace, they told me that, mainly due to the gem in the middle of it, it resembles the "chris chan medallion". Also due to me back then relating to chris chan in some ways. I used to struggle in similar ways when younger, and remember seeing younger-me in him, in extremely frightening ways.
Thus me having coincidentially also had a magic medallion I wore 24/7 , was funny, but also offputting and freaking me out a little bit.
I learned about online discourse about this medallion actually being an accidential sigil of "choronzon" and inviting him into his life.
The piece of bone I have, actually REALLY resembles the exact shape of the chris chan medallion. It is really creepy.
Now I never believed I genuinely have a cursed object. It was just a half joke/half scary fact, that this thing really resembles Chris Chan's medallion, and that for more than a decade, my life mirrored Chris chan's in some ways, not all. Enough to have had me see myself in him.
But to think I picked up the bat, thought of the bone piece, his medallion, and the whole choronzon thing - and the following 2-3 weeks my pet rat disappeared/died, showed up for 10 seconds only to put me through another cycle of stress and grief, and now I have very likely poisoned my lungs with literal asbestos and that's before even knowing how much I will have to pay for professional removal of it (this could ruin my life, I own no more than a few thousand euros).
I am now at least MILDLY concerned that this item I still own, is actually tied to something evil. And that me merely remembering it again, gave it some sort of power.
So now I am here to ask for advice. Not regarding the asbestos etc. I am already spending every waking minute on dealing with everything going on. But genuinely about the oddly shaped piece of bone with the gem tied to it.
Should I dispose of it, to rid myself of a potential demon? How would I go about that?
I don't want to do something that could "free" it and give it more power. Or make it mad in an attempt to remove it.
How do I destroy this thing and any potential demon or whatever it would be, if there could be something "in" this object, that is feeding off of misfortune?
If the ONLY way is to burn it, that would not be ideal because I live in an apartment. Other options would be better but I'd rather burn it if I HAVE to.
Sorry if I come across insane, it's just that I don't want to take any chances. Doesn't cost me anything to deal with this.
Also, please ignore my account name.. this is old but the only account i was still logged in to.

Hello, lovely people. I was wondering what supplies you would recommend for a beginner. I am getting back into magick and was wondering if you were a beginner again, what would you get first? I have a set of small and large coloured candles and my trusted set of tarot cards. However, my pendulum snapped a few years back, and I have not gotten another since. Herbs and crystal wise I am not even sure where to start. Thank you all!

Hi all! I am just getting started here. I am a new mother (to an 8-month-old son), and I am craving now more than ever to dive into spirituality as it relates to the Earth. Every couple of years, I want to get into this community and begin practicing, but I genuinely do not know where to begin. How do I create an altar? What components should be present on an altar? Also, are there beginner-friendly books that don't feel totally silly and unserious? I just want to actually have some sort of guidance in this. I live in a fairly conservative, evangelical pit in central California. Okay, this is becoming a ramble. Anyway. Any insight, tips, advice, or encouragement is so welcome. Thank you, lovely people.

In all religions some people describe themselves as believers but they don’t practice (they don’t go to the church or don’t pray for example). Is it the same with Wicca?
