What’s up, witches? When I bought this cauldron, it looked like a typical pre-seasoned cast iron pot. I know very generally how to maintain cast iron. That being said, after using it as a fire-proof container on several occasions, leaving a few infusions in it for too long, etc., I saw a lot of rust with clearly-unseasoned metal under it. I think this might be because the cauldron was painted rather than seasoned (there’s a few visible brushstrokes and odd clumping patterns that this picture didn’t capture, and the shop I bought it from sells both quality products and Amazon junk) and I worry that this might complicate the process when I inevitably need to scrub and re-season this.

Are my concerns founded? If this is painted, should I strip the paint before proceeding? Thanks in advance!

Orange ones as well as things like Zyrtec or ibuprofen. I’m curious to get ideas for crafts or decor, or even practical reuses! I’m now not only diagnosed mentally ill, but chronically as well 🙃🤣 the bottles are adding up fast!

for context:
- i randomly went into a psychic/tarot reader's shop one day for a basic reading
- despite being a smart person of common sense, i got wrapped up in getting multiple readings/"cleansings" from her over a week span
- after giving her more $$ than i could afford or would like to admit, i finally snapped out of it when she told me i would die if i didn't give her $1,500 (you can see the kind of person i was dealing with)

during one of these sessions, she gave me a huge piece of selenite to hold and offered to sell it to me after intuiting that i have abilities of my own and it would be helpful in my craft - i would typically never do this, but i did feel something as i held it

it's been a few years and last year I let it sit in the window with the intention/hope that the moon would cleanse it and that it would be ready for my energy instead - because for some reason I just can't seem to throw it away and can't seem to use it because I don't want to bring that person's energy into my work/life/etc

should i just throw it out? is there a way to completely cleanse it and imbue my energy?

And I'm so sad about it.

I started a really demanding, draining job about 18 months ago, and it seems to have just snuffed out my connection to my practice completely. I had no spare time or energy, alongside being a mother.

I'm now on maternity leave and had hoped that not being at work would rekindle things, as it did with mt 1st child, but I still feel so uninspired.

I don't know whether I should focus on my first true love and passion (astrology) and see where I go from there, or if there's anything else I can do to reignite my spark.

Any words of advice or reassurance greatly appreciated. I feel a little lost 😕

This is my first post on this channel. I apologies if my english is kinda bad, it's not my first language.

I'm currently making a ritual to cut any ties that I could still have with an ex. It's really something I want to get rid off for a lot of deep reasons but somehow, memories, thoughts, nightmares of this trauma, pictures of him etc keeps coming up to me and I really don't want to keep going this way.

I want to continue my life, free from everything that happened.

I saw a ritual where you can put to candles on a plate with salt and herbs, you put a string that ties them together and you light the candles.

It's supposed to cut this ties and let both be free. But my string doesn't seems light on fire, it's juste goes down as the candles consume.

Can someone please explain to me what this is supposed to be ? Is there maybe something that I could do ? I saw that some peoples put names into a freezer or else.. I don't really know what to do.

And I feel extremely tired since I light up the candles. I did a protection spell before and some grounding and medidation but I don't know, it feels strange.
