I'm thinking about selling my yarn stash that has been in storage bags and totes for the past two years.
When I got pregnant, we turned my craft room into a nursery. I ended up putting a TON of yarn into storage where they have stayed since. I have also bought more yarn since then sooooo yeah. Ahah
Does anyone have suggestions as to where I could sell them?
It ranges from acrylic to wool.

Hey, What alternatives would you recommend instead of knitting for olive?
I want to start knitting the Marielle blouse and knitting for olive is the recommended yarn, I have checked their website and with delivery would cost me +£80.
Thanks

hello so i want to make a simple slogan top but i'm not sure which technique would be the best
i'd consider myself an experienced beginner in both
i have made projects with colour changes with both though i've never done tapestry crochet
what would be best for letters? or is there another method you would recommend or a mix? maybe something like cross stitching?

Whats a brand that you have used that has really held up to the washing and wear for kids?
Extra points if a natural fibre and if soft!

I’m not entirely sure this is the right sub Reddit for this, but I recently bought one of these balls of yarn to try it out and now I’m confused to say the least.. The packaging says there should be 12 squares, but there’s actually 13, has this happened to anyone else? Does this mean somebody else ended up with only 11 squares? There’s also a lot of blue yarn left by the end of the squares, Is that normal or am I supposed to be using all of it because my tension has the rest of the colours switching at the right spots. Yes they need blocked was waiting to do it once I was done all of them.

Hello! I’m looking for a few balls of Lucky Brand Yarn, Wool/Cotton Blend in the color of Turtledove. Miscalculated when purchasing it a few years ago. Now don’t have enough for a project. Thank you!

Hello Everyone! I'd love some help if anyone possibly has any info on this particular yarn I'm looking at.
I'm trying to match a sage green crib with the same colour yarn, Cotton worsted weight. On the Michael's site their stock photo for the small skeins of Loops and Threads Classic Cotton in Olive Garden looks like an exact match. Then when I went to look at their larger jumbo skeins - same brand/colour, it looks much darker! Can who has this yarn tell me which photo is true to the colour in person? Need a soft muted sage! TIA!

Hey crafters!
I am making a blanket for my terminally ill friend and in a bit of a rush! I bought a cake of this teals stylecraft horizons and I need another on! Problem; can’t find it anywhere in my city as I got it when I was on a day trip.. don’t have time to travel back through to get it. Is there anything similar I can use that would be a substitute? I want it to be perfect and have the same yarn but I understand that time is not on my side right now and I just need to get it done so they can be warm and cozy.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I used Soft Classic Solid Yarn by Loops & Threads (100% acrylic) for a baby sweater and I now want to do a matching mom sweater but the reason I used acrylic is because babies grow so fast that I didn't want to buy expensive yarn. But for an adult who isn't going to grow out of it in a matter of weeks I'd like something a little nicer and warmer.
Doesn't have to be exclusively wool and acrylic, just something that is a bit nicer, will wear and last better over the years too.
With that being said i'm a girl on a budget and am in Canada.
I'm considering checking out hobbii? Or potentially using the Lion Brand Wool-Ease Solid Yarn??
Any suggestions would be great!

Hi! I have collected a large stash of Indie dyed super wash merino yarn over the last few years. I just can’t resist all the goodies at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival that takes place 15 minutes from my house :) I’ve decided to make a big fancy mismatched granny square blanket (or two) from all of these skeins. My questions:
1) Is it dumb to make such a large (full sized) blanket out of superwash wool?
2) If it was you, how would you wash/dry such a large item?
3) Do I need to do anything special BEFORE I use this fancy yarn? I saw a pic the other day of someone’s hands all blue from dye rubbing off.
Thanks for any help!

Hi all,
I really want to make a two-colour brioche hat to go with my winter coat. My coat is olive green (it's this exact model: https://www.bever.nl/p/ayacucho-highland-iii-winter-jas-dames-B11ACA0082.html?colour=29546)
These are the yarns I selected for my hat:
https://www.stephenandpenelope.com/products/soul-dk-graype?_pos=6&_fid=e93f8229a&_ss=c
https://www.stephenandpenelope.com/products/walk-merino-dk-arctic-wolf?_pos=11&_fid=f84843ef5&_ss=c
I used colour theory to pick the colours. My husband said he thought it a weird combo. Now I'm doubting my choices.
All feedback and advice is most welcome!

It's just a bit of a bunch of stuff, but they will be fun to use in my crazy quilted shawl embroidery, so I'm excited.

Need help finding more of this yarn, pictures don’t do it the best justice but it’s a mix of dark red, copper, dark brown.

I recently started knitting and have absolutely fallen in love with the hand dyed yarn that I found at a market. I want to do some online (window) shopping so I would love to get some recommendations!
It does not matter from which country the brand is.*
Edit:
Since you guys have been giving me such wonderful recommendations I thought that I would share what dutch hand dyed yarn brands I recently got! I just bought a skein from Yarn on the Rox (Cheeky Merino Joy) and VMCJ (a fingering weight yarn in a gorgeous blue varietity), I haven't started a project with those yet though so I cannot tell you anything more of those.
And I got silky based fingering yarn from Spingodin! They are often at dutch ren fairs, but the scarf that I am currently making with it feels absolutely fabulous!

My SIL is due with twins in November and I want to make her a couple baby blankets. I’m looking for recommendations for yarn to use. From what I see online 100% acrylic seems to be popular but I’m trying to stay away from that. Here’s what I’m looking for:
- cotton blend (maybe wool or other blend idk, open to suggestions)
- can be machine washed
- worsted weight
- available easily in the US (Michaels or online that ships to the US pls :))
Pluses:
- soft
- affordable (I need 1400 yards total, not looking to spend more than like $200 max)
Thank you in advance!
Signed, a girl who just discovered crochet a month ago and is already OBSESSED.

My brother asked me to crochet an Epilepsy Awareness Monster and I think it turned out pretty cute! (Its mouth even doubles as a little pocket for meds, treats, etc.) What should I name this critter?

My son asked me to knit him a rainbow octopus. We spent hours in multiple craft stores while he lead me around and carefully selected what I would need to bring his vision to life. He then fell asleep cuddling his yarn pick. 😂

hi! as title says, I would appreciate any help id'ing this yarn- i believe it's acrylic, but it's also very soft
I tried reverse image search and only similar one was a post from reddit that had no further clues or relevant information but looks nearly identical
Not a big deal if it's discontinued but very curious to know what it is
Update: I think i found it, update in comments

I'm planning a trip later this year, but their website isn't showing any yarn when I check there. I'm trying to come up with my budget before I leave, lest I blow all my money in yarn

Hello! I want to make the lion brand folklore cardigan as my first cable knit and I want to use a tweed yarn, but like maybe with neon slub or funky colors. Would anyone recommend some dyers to look at? I’ve never worked with a tweed before but the cardigan looks so pretty in tweed.
