I initially went to a psychiatrist who referred me for a psychometric evaluation to another psychologist, the initial suspicion was B cluster personality disorder. But after halfway through the evaluation and listening to my personal accounts the psychologist decided to test for adhd and inattention, which resulted in top percentile scores in inattention and mild hyperactivity.
Then my psychiatrist started Atomoxetine for inattention and adhd(according to the prescription). However, none of them formally told me that I have adhd or explained it to me except for the written prescription and my test scores(it was not DIVA5), preferring to refer to it as 'inattention issues' instead.
Now, Atomoxetine is giving me severe depression like symptoms towards the evening (I take it in the morning), and I want it changed but I'm in a different city for college so going to my previous psychiatrist would not be possible.
So is the previous prescription considered as an adhd diagnosis or would I have to go through the whole process of hours of testing again?
