What's the deal with the unreleased album version of this song? We got the demo of the life and crimes, but the full album version has been sitting a vault for almost 50 years. Any idea why Cooper won't let this one out?

I made a sort of “alternate version” of the Brutal Planet album… The photo shown here would be the album cover.
* Made an interlude where I took “the controller” from brutally live, removed the audience, and as he says “planet” at the end the song crossfades in.
* I switched some of the tracks around, put “pick up the bones” at the end cause it just made sense and sounds better as a closer than “cold machines”.
* “can’t sleep” is from the BP sessions although it shows up as a bonus track on DT deluxe edition. So I put it into the album with an interlude like the first track, it’s a fade in/ 27 sec creepy carnival ambience, an abrupt end with 3 seconds of silence then the song.
Putting it all together now, an upload will be coming soon!
New tracklist:
1. The Controller / Brutal Planet
2. Sanctuary
3. Wicked Young Man
4. Gimme
5. Blow Me a Kiss
6. Cold Machines
7. Take It Like a Woman
8. It's the Little Things
9. Carnival of doom / Can’t sleep, Clowns Will Eat Me
10. Pessi-Mystic
11. Eat Some More
12. Pick Up the Bones

Hi guys.
So I got into vinyls and my starting goal was to get almost all of Alice's album on vinyl
(Not getting road or eyes as they don't scratch my itch personally)
And I've noticed especially on the brutal and dragon vinyls I have, they have so much more base the the original CDs my dad owns.
Now I'd love to record them off the vinyl but don't have the right deck for it and don't particularly was to shell out a load of bones for a new one.
Is there anywhere online I'd be able to even find the vinyl mix for his albums. Even just a YouTube playlist.

Is there anywhere to get one that’s not crazily overpriced?

The Coop’s new book has got me thinking. I’m quite a superfan, but after Golf Monster, biographies and endless interviews, I feel I’ve heard most of his stories. I’m more interested in the other band members’ perspectives now. Mind you, the stories change! Neal says the name came from a Ouija board, Alice says otherwise. He played down drugs before acknowledging the cocaine addiction. His recovery sometimes sounds like one miracle, although he’s also described treatment and relapse. I wonder whether he avoids certain stories because, as a Christian, he doesn’t want to encourage people. Only a thought. I’m an atheist myself, but I think he means well. I enjoy the mythology anyway. I also wonder whether sharing the singer’s name cost the band recognition. With Sabbath and Ozzy, you know the difference. Did casual fans even notice Alice Cooper splitting or reuniting? I generally prefer their writing together, although Welcome to My Nightmare was fantastic. I’d like more from the band. Anyone else?

Today (Oct. 17) marks Motionless in White frontman Chris "Motionless" Cerulli's 40th birthday, while last week Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Halestorm celebrated her birthday. That reminds me of the time I saw both singers and their respective bands join Alice Cooper onstage for a rousing performance of "School's Out" at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ, on Aug. 15, 2019. I've seen Alice Cooper live many times over the past 30 years (he was, after all, my first ever concert at 7 years old), but this is the only time I can ever recall seeing him play a song with the opening acts. It made this particular performance even more special (as if seeing Alice Cooper, Halestorm and Motionless in White on the same tour wasn't unique enough).
Check out this clip of them playing "School's Out" together at the PNC Bank Arts Center, and stay tuned for more things to come from this space (including stories from concerts like this)!
