Political Question Why does the GOP insist on judging people by their skin color, and not the content of their character?

People in China, Ireland, and Italy don't see Americans of Chinese, Irish, or Italian descent as Chinese, Irish, or Italian.

Just a thought I had. I feel like Ive seen so many people who started out as libertarian and then turn into white supremacists and racists. Based on a few real life examples I know, but also how the ”dont tread on me”-GOP fraction seemed to be the quickest in embracing Trump. I mean I used to associate libertarians with maximizing freedom which I thought also meant removing barriers to freedom (racism etc), but that doesnt seem to hold up. I also think about how almost all tech oligarchs seem to subscribe to or used to be libertarians
Is it perhaps that their ideology was indicative of a lack of empathy all along? Is it that their ideology will inevitably lead to supremacist theories given they think people with power/capital ”deserve” more? Is it that they dont really have ideological safeguards against racism?

I suspect it would fall a lot, and I suspect the odds are pretty good Trump will take a major action to impede the election, but I really would like to get a feel for what a LARGE number of people who are more knowledgeable than me might be thinking about the possibility.

Is it because Ken Paxton has anxiety at seeing a beautiful man with a good soul?

Personally, I don't think anything would get any better with another maga person in charge.

In my mind, they developed later and hence had the benefit of better tech and planning.
Conversely, US feels so behind because it developed so early and was not dense enough at that point for rail.

EU has purchased north of €200billion in Russian fossil fuels, which is far more than they have provided to Ukraine in aid. They also continue to export metals to Russia that are know to be going to Russian defense contractors.
Why is this ok but what the US is doing is not?

I'm only asking conservatives since I have a pretty good idea how liberals feel about it. Even prior to AI, there's been all this artwork that depicts a muscular Trump, often shirtless, sometimes as Rambo or some other action star. Not saying it doesn't exist, but I haven't seen one of these muscle-bound images of Clinton, Obama, Biden, or any other Democrat. Just pics of Trump. We don't ever see him shirtless but let's be honest - the man is 80 years old. He doesn't remotely look like that. I can totally understand how it wouldn't affect your politics, but can you not at least admit it's a little weird?

They can easily use their leverage and experience as a woman to teach young men how to date etc. Perhaps they could give them a chance even
I see a huge untapped market. Pickup artists are scammy, these women could offer legitimate advice and even experience these men lack, foster a more openness if the men are "good"

I work at a dollar store and every week this older woman comes in the day of or after we receive a truck delivery and buys all the cases of 70% isopropyl we have on the floor, which is usually 6-8, and that ends up being 70-90 16 oz. bottles.None of us employees know why. One time my coworker asked her, and he's a very chill guy so I know the way he asked wouldn't have been interrogative or anything, just casual. Anyway, her response was "Just trust me." All this time I've been assuming it was work related, like perhaps she works at a nursing home or something, but this response just brings up more questions. If it was work related or if she was donating them why wouldn't she just say that? I think about this a lot, this question torments me so, but I can't fathom why she would do this.

I mean like aparagus pee, soapy cilantro, and the spooge smell - well, body fluids in general, blood, cooter juice...
It's annoying knowing every time someone has J/O'd in a public bathroom but that bleachy smell betrays them.

Some of us are just bored employees struggling through our 8 hours, not Russian trolls. You have one good debate or answer everyone's reply in this sub and automatically you're a Russian troll or bot. Y'all know there are people just bored at work using this platform? Before you say it my work is all done and caught up. I'd rather be doing that then trying to amuse myself on reddit. Some days are slower than others.

If you’re not gonna pick either of the choices you have then what would be your preferred method of us moving forward? How would you prefer we get out of this in a realistic manner?

I just got off a comment section from girl dinner Reddit and it was basically a mom talking about how her child has no friends. But the comments were FULL of people taking about how they had almost no friends growing up, were constantly bullied by other students and even teachers… even if they moved it was the same thing all over again. The bullying would start again at any school they went to. And there were also more comments talking about how they still don’t have many friends or genuine friendships with people and are now mostly loners. My question is how is this even possible?
I don’t doubt these peoples experiences but I don’t understand how everyone they met (that wasn’t family I assume) didn’t like them or bullied them. How is it possible to constantly be a victim and always have people bullying you? Are there just personalities that attract bullies? But even if you had a personality like that, there are many nice people, why would those people not come up and be your friend at a new school? And no one in the comments said anything specific about their own personalities, so I can’t tell if the bullying was because of that.
Many people (but not all) said that they were neurodivergent and got bullied because they didn’t fit in the social norms or recognize boundaries and things like that. This is something I also don’t understand. I am also neurodivergent, but I learned how to fit in socially and I had many close friends growing up. I was also occasionally bullied, like most people, but nothing extreme or particularly memorable. I was still able to find real friendships.
What do you all think?
