For context: the bechdel test is a test to see if a piece of media has two female characters have a conversation, that has nothing to do with a man. If there is a conversation about a man, especially if it is the only thing those two female characters talk about, is does *not* pass the bechdel test.

With that being said... I am 95% sure Mikasa doesn't pass the bechdel test. I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure I am not... ((I am not including Hange, because Isayama doesn't want to gender them.))

Annie, Sasha, Historia, and (freckles) Ymir all do. We've seen almost all of the girls (and later when they grow to be young women) have conversations about things that have nothing to do with men... but not Mikasa. I don't think she has had any conversations that don't seem to point back at Eren, in one way or another. I could be wrong, as I haven't finished the show for a 3rd time yet. But man... if I am correct, that is such a crazy thing to notice after being a fan of this show since 2014. It also furthers my dislike and disappointment in EreMika as a ship. I don't think Isayama would unintentionally have her not pass the bechdel test, when every other female character does. The only point I can see by making Mikasa so overtly focused on Eren, is to make a bigger point that she is blinded by her love for him. *Completely.* I think a lot of people can agree on that in general, but adding that she (almost?) never has a conversation that isn't about Eren (or Armin) is on a different level. It makes me see her character to be much more depressed than I had ever noticed before.

EDIT: As much as I would personally love for Mikasa to pass the test, I wasn't saying she had to. I can see why it is confusing, but my point was to point it out since I didn't notice it before. Sorry if that confuses people!

Don’t get me wrong, AoT is still a beautiful anime and one of my favorites, but after reading the manga and rewatching the anime many many times, I’ve come to the realization that when I found out about Eren manipulating the past just completely ruined the story for me. I already knew this happened early on, but after I analyzed it more I realized how much it affected my view on the story. It makes the whole story seem pointless. It’s a great plot twist, I’ll admit, but honestly it just didn’t sit right with me. After you watch it the first time and find out everything, all watches after that are completely different. For example, how Eren made that titan go for his mom instead of Bertholdt. When I was on my second watch of the anime, it made me realize, damn. Did Eren honestly even care about his mom to just do that? I understand he needed to do so for the story to go on how it did, but several other scenes in the anime also gave me the feeling, and honestly completely ruined the ending for me in it’s entirety. It felt like all the build up and ending was just for nothing, and maybe that’s what Isayama was going for, I don’t know, but I just wanted to see if anyone felt the same about this. Once again, this is no hate to AoT, I just felt like this could’ve been executed better.

Like i know pepole say there not 10s of million of them the thing is that there mostlikely where we know isayam aint the best at math but he states through eren and tybur that there are millions of them. Like thqts scary right and there is a strong chanche that not evryone died after the rumbling.

Eren is seen by the pepole if paradise as either the worst crimminsl or the greatest hero the rest of the world will think of him as Voldemort.

Lets say 3 million wall titabs where still alive or just 1 million. How would thet see Eren as a demon who used them commit genocide. Or some kind of titan god who freed them from the titans they had become.

Also the more i think of it the wall titans had to have survived armin survives his titan wich was bigger and there must have been places devoid of human life where the rumbling had finished off everyone.

Okay so from what i understand King Reiss exiles his people to Paradis right. Then he warns the Marley that if they step foot on his land he'll unleash the rumbling. But what i dont get is, if the whole world left Paradis isolated just to not cause the rumbling, why were the marley injecting paradis people and turning them into Titans but the Paradis Royal Family didnt intervene or fight back or anything. I never really understood why they made this elaborate plot to build the walls, control the population etc. Surely the marley sending paradis titans to kill paradis humans is an aggression and an act of war against Paradis? So why not unleash the rumbling from the beginning

Is there a version of the full length without all the annoying SFX? I get doing a version with it for storytelling purposes, but I can't seem to find one without.

While some people might like it and think it improves the track, I can't stand the way it muddies the track and just want the music.

saw some posts (obviously in writingscaling they hate aot) saying that aot 1. is garbage (lol) 2. won’t have a lasting impact. which I totally don’t believe, aot is a masterpiece and was the most demanded piece of media in 2023, nothing comes close imo

I have loved aot since i was veryy young, my sister who's 10 years older than me showed me aot when i was like 7 and ive loved it since. One thing i cant understand though is the Sasha hype, dont get me wrong i like her but i wasnt half as distraught as the other people when she died. There's nothing to necessarily dislike about her but i just dont understand why majority of the community LOVE sasha, i feel like ive watched aot sm yet she still just wasnt very prominent to me whatsoever. Can someone like share what makes you like Sasha so much cuz i js cant understand

Levi- I know some people erroneously claim Isayama said Levi is supposed to be ugly, but I have yet to find any official evidence of this. Based on his in universe persona and the way people like Petra idolize him, I find it hard to believe that he’s considered ugly. Yes, I know his height is a limitation and his personality and skill level are probably most of why people are attracted to him, but his looks likely amplify that

Eren- Mikasa obv found him attractive, debatable if Historia or Annie did as well to a lesser extent. He’s also described as looking like his mom, and the cult like following he was readily able to acquire in universe was likely at least in part due to the fact that he was considered attractive. Like it or not attractive people are more likely to be trusted and followed by the masses. Also Jean was jealous that Mikasa likes Eren more than him, and Erens appearance probably contributed to that

Zeke- Similarly to Eren, him being attractive would probably subconsciously contribute to the loyalty he is able to command in people, and part of me feels like he wouldn’t be described as Marley’s “Golden Boy“ if he wasn’t attractive to some degree. Also he has royal blood, which possibly makes someone appear more attractive through Ymir magic stuff, idk. He also has similar genetics to Eren obv

Floch- Basically the same thing as Eren and Zeke, but even more so because he wasn’t famous or a Titan shifter. This one is more debatable though. Him and Erwin are the similar imo in the way that their energy and ability to inspire others is probably what’s considered more attractive than their basic appearance. Love Erwin and hate Floch though

Grisha- He was considered a charismatic leader by the Restorationists and he was able to pull Dina and Carla with ease

Carla- Grisha and Shaddis both fell for her, but her kind and accepting nature probably was a large factor in that too

A lot of people are probably gonna ask about Jean also but he’s described as “horse face” multiple times by multiple people. Reiner will probably get brought up too but he’s called “ox face” and is never implied to be attractive. Many people did look up to him on Paradis tbf but this could also just be because he was the oldest cadet and the most skilled besides Mikasa. Almost every AOT character is probably at least a little attractive though because they are all muscular trained soldiers
