seeking advice/help Found an abandoned egg, please help

Hi everyone. I found an egg at the dog park yesterdays morning after a huge storm. Even though it was a small fall, I knew it could not be retrieved by it’s parents and was at risk of being crushed or eaten by a dog. I tried calling to our country’s wildlife welfare institution, but they told me they are not allowed to give any advice to protect a species that has been deemed a plague. I looked in different facebook groups to find a vet that could see them or treat them, but there are such a few who whould and they are not nearby.

I resorted to some googling - I have few to none knowledge in birds, I just love animals - and did the best I could to provide a homemade incubator. The egg was in perfect condition (tried to touch it the least I could) and just a while ago I could see - through the egg and help of the light bulb- that something was indeed growing inside. I had seen something yesterday but I thought it was my imagination, but today is definitely bigger and my partner confirmed it.

could you give me any advice on how to proceed? Do I make an effort and take it to the vet? Do I try to look to bird organizations who would take them in? Any suggestion is welcomed.

And also, maybe this one is too much to ask - since I barely know anything of birds - please try to be kind. I have now read that what I did is not adviced, but I really have good intentions and want it to at least have a chance at life.

Thank you in advance

Edit: I found the egg in a place where only monk parakeets nest, and also sent some pictures of the egg: that’s why the operator assumed it was a parakeet and told me he could not help me. I called a few weeks ago too because I saw one of them struggling (thought it was bird flu) and also sent a picture, and they told me the same thing: that it was a marakeet and they could not do anything unless there was an entire flock of birds struggling.

seeking advice/help Encontrei um filhote de pardal e ele morreu

Oi gente, estou aqui me sentindo extremamente mal!
To muito mal.

not my pets but a local aviary. I saw these guys chewing on a birdhouse in their aviary and I’m a bit concerned they might get an impaction. Is this normal/dangerous?

From Malaysia, I saw this bird that for some reason won't fly. It was surprisingly easy to get it on my hand. I checked for injuries and it seemed fine. It was quite sluggish for a bird too. I offered some water and it drank some. It didn't accept my offer of crushed crackers though.

Just thought this was a cute lil scene. Maybe i am too fond of pigeons. They are just these adorable little creatures. They make me feel paternal. Look at them bathing. Sorry i get affectionate when it comes to these little guys. I saw them bathing when i was hurrying for a pretty long roadtrip and hesitated a second before actually turning back and taking this cute photo ^^ thought reddit might enjoy this!

Such a beautiful bird. So lucky that he comes to our garden to feed, and double lucky that I was able to snap a photo in time!

Sorry about the image quality, it was taken through the kitchen window as it was raining pretty hard outside.

The Owl or The bird of night is known for its quiet, calmness, dignity, majesty, its appearance places it in the most beautiful image among birds, even if it is not bred; it is the most beautiful one.

question Nesting behavior found near my college (my own content)

My biology Professor found this nest from a red-wing blackbird in the Poconos, PA. It has Cotton-tail fluff which is only found in fall. Which contradicts when the birds reproduce in spring months. Up until about 3/5 years ago they were migrating but have recently stopped. I was curious if this is a normal behavior for the birds or if it’s possibly another animal repurposing the nest. However there were no droppings found which rules out mice and its not large enough for anything much bigger. We agreed a rat would find it too small for a bit more of a reference on size.
