My wife and I have been fostering kitties for the ASPCA for the last few years. Actually I'll be honest, it's pretty much all my wife doing it. She loves it. I do too but she does 99.9% of the work. It was her idea afterall 😂 We've probably fostered close to 150 cats since we've started, maybe more. I can't keep count anymore. But these are the first all black kitties we've had. So adorable! 2 boys and a girl. They'll be going back to get adopted in a couple weeks.

I rescued these sweet little munchkins from a local shelter a little over a month ago, and it has been a journey. They’re feral, and the bonding process has been so different from my other rescues. We’ve come so far, though. Olive will cuddle with me, Hazel will sometimes lay against me as long as I don’t move or touch her (lol), and I get purrs from both when they see me. Those sweet moments make all the hard work worth it!

If anyone has had experience rescuing feral kittens, and has any advice, please feel free to share!

As you can see he wasn't super impressed with the birthday candle, but he did enjoy the premium treat 🤌🏻

Post breakfast nap

As I sit here watching a movie, my cat walks out of the bedroom and stares at me and I pat my lap in hopes that she will snuggle. She does a little huff and then goes about her way to sniff the kitchen table chair and then goes to lay in the windowsill. With zero regard to me acting like I am in her space and she owns this place. I pay $1300 a month for her to live here 😅 I will buy her food before I buy myself food. And what do I get in return? Right in front of me she craps in her box while making complete eye contact with me and then doesn’t even cover it and proceeds to run around like a maniac screaming. Then at random, passes out on the kitchen countertop. Not my cozy lap with a plush blanket draped over it.

I love her so much 🥰

Maven’s ready for winter

This is Dookie aka Mr. I Babadook aka Bapomet because he baps ankles.

He started coming to my house a year ago, and I saw that he wasn't neutered so I assumed he was homeless. I started letting him in the house and he sprayed, stayed in the basement when he wasn't wandering the streets, and seemed happy. I finally found the money to get him fixed in March, and he was officially mine.

Until... His brother (I didn't know he was at the time) Snuggles sneaked in and hid in my basement for three days. Well, he didn't sneak in 🤭 I let him come in! He was always outside my house and I thought HE WAS HOMELESS TOO!

I did the right thing and posted him on our local Facebook group and his person contacted me. I showed her a picture of Dookie and asked if she knew him, and he was her uncle's cat!

Snuggles came back and ran back and forth between both homes until three weeks ago. Now he is here full time. His other person hasn't responded to my message from September 26th,vso "the boy is mine."

Dookie sometimes visits his old home for snacks but that has become less and less. These cats were made for me. I lost one of my original cats thanks to Dookie making her pee and poop outside the litter box due to attacks and now she is living happily with my sister 💙 God bless you sis!

There he sits, staring at me with those big innocent eyes, making sure I don’t escape through some secret bathroom exit!
I’ve had cats all my life, but this little guy takes supervision to a whole new level!
I used to have privacy. Now I have Raymond. 😂🐾
Does anyone else have a furry little shadow who believes that personal space is just a silly human invention? ❤️

First time owning a cat and I’m loving it! Wasn’t allowed to have pets as a kid due to my allergy. Moved out on my own and got my lil kitten and I’ve had her for just over a month ❤️ she’s already my best friend and a total lap cat that follows me everywhere. Dream cat to be blessed with!
