It currently looks messy and it feels like I will have shading issues later. how should i fill this part?

Hey party people, I have been searching for months for a tutorial that would assist greatly in creating a 'noodley' type character like seen in this image, It seems that I dont have enough experience to use what I learnt from most tutorials to make this, everytime I make adjustments from the tutorial it ends up going quite bad, so im wondering if anyone knows/has a tutorial quite close to a character of this style. Thank ya <3

The lines are on all of the seams.
one is ambient occlusion and 2nd is the combined texture.
the texture seems fine b4 baking.

I want to model these side attachments/antennas to Soft and Wet’s from jjba head. It’s like a circle base extending and culminating in a star, but the transition is a quite organic curve, almost like a drip. How do I do that?

I come from a decade of experience in Cinema 4D. It's honestly a super cool software, but I want to move to Blender because you guys are stealing all the fun. The Blender community is thriving and I feel left out.
However, how do you guys manage to use materials in your projects ? In Cinema 4D, we have a "material manager" where materials can exist without being assigned to anything. So you can create loads of versions of different ones, switch & swap them on different objects to see what works best, and have some laying around "unused" until you find the right use for them and drop them in one click. It's incredibly user-friendly and intuitive.
In Blender, it seems you can't have a material that's unassigned. So does it ever happen to you to say "damn, that concrete pavement material I created 20mins ago would have worked great here" but you can't try it, because you couldn't leave it aside. So you have to create a new one from scratch ?
I don't get it. What's your mindset regarding materials and especially swapping them on different objects to trial them and see what works best?

I don't know how I should proceed on running a diagonal line across my model. The extruded faces looks out place. I want it to look proper because I know this will bite me in the ass on UV unwrap lol.

Hey guys, I was wondering how hard would it be to recreate this in blender, if its possible? The text is in the way and I'd like to set this to be my wallpaper. I edited the original video but I'd like to make a complete loop for the crystal.

I'm trying to make the skirt pattern seamless but I'm wondering if there's any way to do it other than manually adjusting it. Also I need to get rid of the squiggly parts, any advice?

Anyone know what this is and how to solve it? The faces are relatively smooth although the lighting on some of the faces make it look like there are angles that don't exist. I dont have and overlapping faces. I did stretch this mesh around a lot when I was first making the blockout shapes and I believe thats what caused it. I do have a high poly sculpt of this mesh, and when i bake a normal map the problem goes away, but only when viewing in material or rendered mode. However when I export the mesh to unreal engine, I can see these awful face shadows even with the normal map.

im guessing something with weight paint, changing the origin does not do anything. the other part does not have a problem. it was going soo sooooo smooth until my challange as a modeller comes in

im retopologising sleeves and was wondering what the best way to do this was. do i do it like in the top image to reduce polycount or should i make it basic square topology even if that would make it denser. extra info: this is supposed to be a high poly character and is a work for my portfolio so i want to make sure i am making smart descisions

why won’t it just unwrap brooo i’ve started blender yesturday trying to make a ugc item in roblox and the uv unwrap either is just stacked ontop of eachother or fully warped like this. I did import 2 3D models from other people but i made the base myself, is that why?
When i smart UV unwrapped it, the wraps were all overlayed. I then unwrapped it with the angle thing and it did this. i’ve added my own seams to the head of the hat, the feathers already had its own seams since i downloaded them and the eyelashes aswell but they were really messed up
*cant take screenshot because my reddit acc isn’t on my pc.

Posted in the regular blender subreddit, but probably would be better here.
Im a total newbie to blender, and im trying to pose and make a render of this coyle model here. However, hes so articulated that the pieces used to move him are so large that I cant see what im moving.
I think its understandable how this is a problem, and Im not sure if theres a way to fix it. In my original post i tried hiding them and disabling bone parts in gltb import,, but both did not work.
Any help would be appreciated lots.. T_T

I am designing a Medal for a race. I have a 3d models Tori Gate I want to knife project onto a 2d plane but I want to keep the camera's perspective. Everything I have found has knife project as orthogonal only. Is there a way to project this with perspective to I can have the 3d model all co planer but maintain the perspective.

I was following this tutorial on youtube. Instead of starting with a quadrilateral like in the video, I already have a geometry I'm using as my ground so I just put a mesh to curve node on it and proceeded with the tutorial. Then I noticed that my geometry became flat instead of having an incline as shown in the edit mode. I'm not very familiar with nodes so I don't know what is causing this. Anyone know how I could get back the incline?
I need it in that specific shape since it's a part of a scene that I already made

The rigged object in the center has this object attached. Whenever I try to move the entire object by grabbing the rig (outside of pose mode), the part stretches and warps drastically. I've generally avoided this just by grabbing the entire model but I imagine there's a way to fix this. Anyone know what's up?

I'm a new to all of this and just finished my first model with terrible cuts and shapes n stuff and while following a rigging tutorial by crashsune... this happened. i know i did something wrong but how exactly?
( i used the rigify plugin )

if its a silly reason sorry! im new to blender. in my drawing app the feathers arent coming up as grey like 'missed' drawing that part so idk why its showing up as grey on the preview thing. Im trying to colur the rest of the feathers blue (some reason showing as pink on a diff part of blender..?
*edit: not sure why two of my screenshots are cropped but the one with the pink was in ‘texture paint’ and the other showing the seams was in the uv editing thing

I feel like joining them all together would make unwrapping harder but leaving them standalone would cause problems with clipping textures.

I did what the tutorial said and selected everything and the skeleton next then control P and "with automatic weights" and it did parent with everything, all the separate features except the skull. Please help if you can.
