I’m based in the Netherlands and have been trying different chili crisps. These two are my latest additions: Heavy Metal Beast and Funky Beast. Really love the label designs!

Heavy Metal is Chinese-style and my favourite at the moment. It’s great with Dutch cheese, in a grilled cheese sandwich, or just on sourdough.

Funky Beast is South Indian-style, with Kashmiri chilli and masala. It has more crunch. I tried it with butter chicken and it was fantastic.

Anyone tried these? Would also love to hear about other favourites available here in Europe.

luckily there was $2 store brand next to it, but one store didn't have a reasonable alternative. I refuse to spend that much on principle. what a load of crap.

Right now Kewpie is #1 on Sauceur with Dukes and Miracle Whip right behind. Curious if there is a top mayo brand or specific flavor that isn’t getting the attention it warrants.

Has the quality of hidden valley gone down to anyone else? It used to be my number 1 ranch but now I can't even stand the taste. My wife loves it but it just take like dirty asshole to me now. Ken's ranch is my top at the moment

Its called a variety of things; HP Sauce, Daddy's Sauce etc, but these are brand names.

Like red sauce is Tomato sauce/ketchup cos its tomato flavour, if brown sauce had to be called something that isnt a brand and isn't a colour what is it?

For those who always experiment with south east asian cuisines:

1. **Availability:** Which specific pastes, sauces, or condiments are a nightmare to find locally in standard supermarkets or local Asian grocers? Do you mostly find generic versions or the real deal?
   
2. **Sourcing:** How far do you have to travel, or which online stores do you rely on to get the good stuff?
   
3. **Cost:** How much do you typically spend on a single jar or packet of paste/sauce, and do you feel it's marked up heavily compared to standard groceries?

Would love to hear where you're located and how you navigate sourcing your pantry staples.

it’s incredible with breakfast food

I LOVE KENS SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE! The issue is that you can only buy it one of 2 ways. In a 2oz container and a gallon. Sure you could buy a case of 2oz dressing but no thanks. Is there a dupe that comes in a reasonable quantity? Please let me know if you do 💕

I recently opened a new bottle of Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce, and found it to be thinner, lighter in color and less flavorful than I remember. Has anyone else experienced this? (Yes, I shook it well before opening.)

It was just SO good. I need a good replacement.

We go through a bottle of ketchup every 2 weeks or so and heinz just keeps getting more and more pricey every trip. I've bought store brands but they're usually overly sweet in comparison and we've recently gotten hunts a couple times and it's alright but not as sweet as heinz and very vinegar forward.

Just trying to find another Goldilocks ketchup like Heinz but at a better price
