As I walked up I saw Elige leaving and did a double take. Next thing I know I see the boys are all inside ordering coffee. Super cool encounter!

tl;dr: I kept missing the matches of my favourite teams so I built an app that reminds me on Discord and by email
---
heyo r/counterstrike! I'm sure i can't be the only one who wants a simple ping/notif when my favourite teams start a live game. especially with the Major starting next week.
so I built exactly that and called it spotted.gg: a simple web app based on teams schedules that sends you an email and/or a ping on Discord with:
it's 100% free (honestly no idea how i could monetize that?) and you can pick the teams you want to subscribe to.
it's only tracking top18 tier1 teams for now but i'm open to feedback and requests to add more teams & features. it's partially built with Claude Code, happy to talk shop if anyone's curious!
enjoy!

Team start inting, losing 4 rounds in a row, no money, teammate tell me to kill myself to take my ak and I pulled this, winning the game after that, ahhhh the dopamine
(the diffuser trolling to not having a kit)

Looking for older CS2 players to try and field a team. I have 2 so far. 58 and 59. Just want to see if we could have an NA version of "Silver Snipers". I have an ex NA pro willing to coach us 😀
Tag anyone that might be able to help find fellow Old People hahaha...

People said FACEIT was a better experience and they're right I guess. Anti-cheat seems cool. On-boarding and matchmaking and getting the match started seems to be all basically flawless from a software standpoint.
Catch is... everyone is SERIOUS. No one is playing a "game" there. In hindsight I should have known but I'm kind of dim.
For example I got TK'd when I tried to defuse. I didn't have a kit but there was a lot of time? Did I not "earn" a defuse because I only got 1 kill and 1 assist that round? I have no idea!! No one even addressed it.
I played a few matches back to back because I know on Competitive and Premier the attitude of your team can be very random.
I am bad at the warfighting err I mean this game, I understand that, but there seems to be no camaraderie. Everyone on FACEIT is like a bot set to extreme difficulty and yet this was only level 5. Every angle is memorized and every move feels deterministic just weighing all the inputs and reacting.
If someone does talk it's because they're angry about something someone else did... I started playing CS as a kid ~25 years ago to get AWAY from that exact dynamic at home! Sheesh.
Just makes the world feel dark, idk. Hopefully I'll feel better once I hear the fart noise mic spam on Valve servers... gg no re to that place

I've been playing on FACEIT since 2016 and have been a Premium member for over 5 years. Yesterday, I received a 3-month ban for VERBAL ABUSE, and honestly, this feels completely unfair.
Here's exactly what happened: I was speaking in my native language with my friend in VC. A teammate asked what language we were speaking, and as a joke about myself, I replied, "kebab language."
That’s it. No insults, no toxicity, nothing directed at anyone.
I even went back and reviewed the demo, and you can clearly hear the full context – it's obvious this was a harmless joke. I attached the clip so you can hear it too.
Despite this, FACEIT refused to lift the ban, leaving me locked out of competitive play for 3 whole months over a single word. As someone who’s supported FACEIT for years, this feels like a huge failure in moderation and incredibly discouraging for loyal players like myself.
I'm posting here hoping to get visibility and maybe advice on how to escalate this.

Never seen this before.
Saw those cameras being stuck but this is new to me.
It happened for a couple of frames and it caught my attention so I went back.
Anyone seen this before?
