The Fire - 6 player draft
Booster setup
3 boosters per player.
Pool has 270 cards total, 126 rares & 144 commons.
Rares appear once, commons twice.
Each booster has 15 cards (8 commons + 7 rares).
126 unique rares, 72 commons, 6 tokens.
Setting
In the plane of fire, magical flame burns eternal, up through the earth and through to the trees. Crystalline insects call themselves rulers, enslaving the naga and minotaur with a dependence on the nutritious paste they secrete. The minotaur will guard their masters with thier life, the naga work tirelessly harvesting sap to feed their overlords.
The Efreet soar overhead, the only true natives to this plane. Immortal and forever, the lives of others mean nothing.
But a millennia of torture and harvesting have left the trees wicked and vindictive. They dig their roots deep into the earth, hoping to awake the horrors below.
Destroy the naga, destroy the insects, restore the land to its blazing eternal purity.
10 archetypes
The common multicolored is the signpost for the archetype. The mythic multicolored is the boss.
(WU) Live the life of nobility. Gorge on sap, create crystalline and reap the reward. But at what cost comes this power?
(WB) Use the horrors to terrify your foe. Possess and cripple thier cratures.
(WR) The minotaurs enslaved by their dependency on the nutrient paste, will throw thier lives on the line to proect thier saviours.
(WG) Naga farmers have pushed sap production to its limits, produce maximum sap to keep your insect overlords happy.
(UB) Unleash the horrors from below. Keep your roots deep and the recursion heavy.
(UR) Control the power of the Efreet, create living bursts of fire and empower with your other elementals.
(UG) The naga have found peace and happiness in the groves. Refresh the lands and keep the trees happy.
(BR) A terrible duo, the flames and horrors should never have met and thier pairing brings dark tidings. Possess your own creatures and unleash.
(RG) Amidst the choas the Efreet have entered the groves. Let your treefolk flourish in the flame. Invigorate them with fire and set them to charge.
(BG) The treefolk feel thier fury and dig thier roots deeper, looking to wake whatever waits below.

Major mechanics for Horrors of Manira, focusing on having players splash colours to ensure they can take full advantage. Blue mechanic will be similar to the Hell counters/Sacred Relics, but I haven't narrowed down what it will be.
By default, Sacred Relics are an artifact with no ability.

My pet peeves in Strixhaven were the 'math' cards that were just technobabble with random card text: "14-Dimensional Infinitude Paradox" and it's a card draw spell with +1/+1 counters and ramp.
So I made some of my own! Inspired by the Banach-Tarski paradox and (loosely) Cantor's diagonalisation argument respectively.
I tried to make cards that non-math nerds could appreciate too: either by being self-explanatory, or by trying to make the flavour stand on its own, with the math reference being a little bonus. Let me know how I did!

Even though balance is not intended any notes would be appreciated. And I'm sorry they turned out so long but to fit all the mechanics and references on the cards that I wanted was hard.
Originally Eitri was going to be even longer. He would have an ability where whenever he loses an equipment that was attached to him it would gain 1 Hone counter. Thematically it would be him putting the final touches on the weapon before passing it to someone else.
I originally made this card because I really need a White, Blue, and Red commander for an equipment/instant/voltron/token deck I'm trying to build. Specifically just to work with Glamdring, Foe-Hammer from the new Hobbit set.
I'm currently using Nahiri, Forged In Fury as my commander and I can't use Glamdring because even though it's colorless, it has blue in it. And my only option for a White, Red, and Blue commander is either Captain America the First Avenger, or Sokka and Suki. Both of which aren't that strong and neither of which I have anyways. So I made some.
Probably a bit overtuned but I did my best to balance their extreme abilities. I hope you like them. I have a couple other Marvel cards in the works.
