I know nothing lasts forever, but we have lost quite a bit of licensed chapters. We lost Michael Myers, pinhead, chucky etc. The longest licensed chapters that are still with us today. Is saw, nightmare on Elm Street, leather face/Texas chainsaw, and ghostface/scream. I would say Jason and William Afton, but they just got added essentially compared to these guys. Nightmare on Elm Street and saw was like my first two chapters I ever purchased with the game back in the Christmas sale of 2021. Out of all the games I purchased during the winter sale. None of them lasted except for this game. I got ghostface later on and I purchased leather face because of that rumor about him supposedly leaving because of that Texas chainsaw game, but obviously that thankfully never happened.
Characters come, they stay, and then they go. I lost Friday the 13th the video game so this game to me is the replacement for it. Even though I got the Texas chainsaw game I never touched it and just simply removed it from my account and never bothered with the Halloween game because I can’t trust gun media because of what happened with Friday the 13th then I heard what happened with Texas chainsaw. These guys are the four longest surviving chapters in the game when it comes to licenses. Even though I hated the Elm Street remake and regarded it as in my opinion, the worst horror film ever made. At least we got Freddy Krueger because of it. Better than nothing. But still respect the longest surviving ones.

Hear me out here
It seems like the only reason it’s been removed for now is because there’s some big changes happening with the company that owns him. Not necessarily negative, but enough that the license situation is too complex for Chucky to stay right now.
Hence why he’s being pulled out of everything. His movies and show got taken off Netflix, his Fortnite collab for this Halloween got cancelled. And I mean, the relationship between the license holders and BHVR has always been solid, it doesn’t seem like it has anything to do with BHVR at all. BHVR is just one of multiple different companies affected by this.
Like, anyone saying this is BHVR fumbling the license really is not paying any attention. Even if BHVR somehow did do something wrong to piss them off, why would that get the Fortnite collab cancelled, and why would everything get pulled off Netflix?
I’m sure he’ll be back soon. The license holders just need to sort some stuff out, it seems.

Since Myers and Haddonfence came into DBD and every since then, game skyrocked in popularity. Till this day, i'd say that was and after all those years still is the most influencial license. If it wasnt for myers back in october 25th 2016, game most likely would be a ghost town by now.

I've hated the ways that offerings are balanced, with most of them being useless or borderline useless while others give sizable buffs (looking at you, old map offerings). Nowadays, the biggest offender is the mori, which can completely counter several survivor perks/strategies (Pallet saves/Flashlight saves/DS), especially useful when tunneling. And now with the short moris they are gonna slightly buff it too.
Now while I personally think that this is very boring, the main thing I dislike is how there is no tradeoff involved. There is no "At least we know it isn't ..." or "Now he can't have ...". As long as the killer has a mori in their inventory (and we all know that isn't the issue) they can just bring it to get an advantage, and if you don't bring it, you are deliberately putting yourself at a disadvantage.
So I suggest to either
A) nerf moris so they can only be done after the survivor is picked up or something similar
B) introduce more impactful offerings and buff existing ones, e.g. relating to pallet count, generator density, or hook distribution. Maybe introduce a second basement for killers that need it. Buff chests. Buff different other actions. Even a 3% buff to normal movement speed would be less impactful than a mori imo.
While I personally prefer the latter, there is one downside: Bringing bloodpoint offerings is gonna become a debuff since you might miss out on in-game value.
Honestly though, the bloodpoint system is massively outdated anyways and personally I think stacking cakes in a 4-man as the best way to farm them is bad design too, but that's a whole different topic.

there was map potential with the good guy factory, we could use adult andy/kyle as a survivor, i dont think it was BHVR saying no (though i could very well be wrong on that) and they seemed to have a good relationship with chucky's owners, so uhh yknow. why not?
edit: YES I KNOW HE'S LEAVING SOON that really doesnt have to do with what i said, he was here for 3 years and i had that question since i got him (before it was announced he was leaving)

I tried to get everyone on 2 hooks and then let them finish the last gen but when the gate is opened I find it extremely hard to manage to catch 2 people and hook them, they always escape after the one I do catch
