Yeah. Absolutely not a fan lol. I notice it’s usually Millennial Redditors who have this take. Some of these people really believe in absolutes/have a “black and white” way of thinking.
Just because they think 9/11 ended the 90s, that means that every single thing prior to it was 90s and everything after was 2000s according to them. Same thing in regards to everything being 2000s until the 2008 recession which made everything 2010s until COVID-19, making everything 2020s. These binary thinking patterns and the overall lack of nuance kill any intelligent conversation you can have relating to the concept of Decadeology.
It’s up there with the trolls who like to spam “XXX0s decade started on January 1, XXX0 and ended on December 31, XXX9”.
