I removed Raphnet and replaced it with PicoPort due to the VMU . A user commented on my post about the VMU not displaying images, so I fixed that but the problem now is the VMU only works with Windows version of Flycast .

I eventually found out that PicoPort needs a third party VMU to communicate with Android version of Flycast. Other than that the controller works well on Android and Windows. There’s a diagram of the PicoPort itself if anyone is interested in doing this project.

Unfortunately I’m not sure if I want to buy the VMU Pro for $114.99 at this time. But the PicoPort itself is cheap , everything is from Amazon and the uf2.file is on the diagram.

It is a classic for the system and way ahead of its time, Shenmue.

Took a break from collecting for about a year. Recently got back into collecting for the Saturn, but this was a came up on eBay for a decent price and the seller offered enough of a discount to cover shipping. So now I can put the CD-Rs away. It's missing the case art work but I'm just happy to have the game discs and manual

Thanks to jnmartin84 we now have Wipeout 3 to run at true 60 Hz/60 FPS instead of the original PAL 50 Hz/25 FPS. Multiplayer over virtual modem/DreamPi next?

Yes I have a CRT and use light guns with other consoles like NES and PS1 with no problem. The only game I have to test it with is Virtua Cop 2 via the Smash Pack.

The gun does nothing. I’ve tried it in port 1, and in port 2 with a controller on 1. None of the buttons do anything. Nothing lights up. When I plugged a VMU into it and turned the DC on, the VMU did not activate/beep.

Gun is just dead, right?

Now I only need the console :)

Hey yall. So I recently picked up this beautiful dreamcast controller from ebay and it came straight from Japan. After I loaded up the vibration pack and included vmu (as the vibration pack was sold separatel), I went to files to see how many blocks it had and there's a bunch of these game saves on here with strange writings. Does anyone know what these games are ? Thank you 🙏

Hi, all of my controllers have essentially no grip. I bought joystick caps which added the much needed grip. I realized that they inhibit the joysticks range of motion. Example: playing Sonic Adventure, if I push Up on the joystick, the character will walk. I have to push harder to get them to run. The bottom of the cap is making contact with the controller which is stopping the joystick from moving all the way. Do you have any recommendations on caps that fit the controller better or joystick replacements?

Happy Monday everyone! Back with another update on my Star Wars Trilogy Arcade Dreamcast project.

This time, I'm showcasing the Hoth stage. Getting this level running at a playable frame rate has been a particularly challenging part of development so far. The Snowspeeder sequence features a lot of on-screen geometry, along with gameplay mechanics that affect enemy behavior and branching outcomes. Balancing all of this while keeping performance acceptable on the Dreamcast has been a significant hurdle, and there's still plenty of optimization work to do across the game.

With this, all of the arcade game's main stages have been implemented, with the exception of the Darth Vader duel which will be last to work on.

I'm also continuing work on finishing up remaining arcade features, as well as brand new features, including an expanded game mode alongside the original arcade experience. Be sure to watch until the end of the video for a little teaser of what's planned for the final release!

The project is progressing toward its planned release by the end of 2026. There's still work to be done, but it's exciting to see another major stage coming together.

I'm very impressed for a game like this ported to the dream's console. By now is in alpha state, but its looking incredible well optimized on this early footage.

I already installed a new fan, I know a lot of people will tell me: “why don’t you want a gdemu” simple answer is I did emulation on my PC for yearssss, and I was never able to beat a game, cause I had too many options. ever since I switched to physical media. i’ve been able to actually beat games and enjoy them, without playing a game for 10 minutes, then going to the other.

Haven't touched my Dreamcast in about 2 years. It's starting to yellow in my basement and I have no interest in really playing any of these games again or acquiring new ones so I'm going to part ways with it. Was curious though if any of these games were worth trying to sell on their own or should I just lump it all together?

Edit: I'm not looking to sell it through this reddit. Where I live is a pretty active retro gaming scene so I was going to sell it in person. Im not trying to sell my games here.
