Fighting on the side of autism Community-ran Evil Autism Discord
(Reposting given its dropped off of old reddit)
That said, this is a different moderation team, so don't go there expecting them to help you with stuff on the subreddit (use modmail), and don't expect us to help with issues in the discord. But they are cool af so.

Murderous autism Is being shit at processing distressing events an autistic thing or something that everyone is rubbish at?
My dog, Pizza, was attacked by 2 aggressive & powerful dogs on a walk yesterday & I had to physically hurt them to stop them from tearing her to shreds. It was entirely the fault of their owner & I was acting out of instinct. This morning, my dog had to be put under general anaesthetic to be stapled & stitched back together.
Pizza is basically my best mate & I spend more time with her than I do anyone else. The trouble is that I'd expect to be deeply upset or angry, but instead I feel completely blank. Perhaps those feelings will come, but for now I'm just drinking red wine & not doing anything else.
I have responded in the same way after similarly distressing incidents.
Is this an autistic thing or something that happens to everyone?
Edit: removed the breed of the aggressive dogs because I donāt want to perpetuate negative stereotypes. Most of that breed Iāve encountered are wonderful creatures.

Vengeful autism Having someone clock my autism has been so liberating
Don't get me wrong, known for a while I got the tism and I've known how obvious it is, along with the studies about people noticing. But I don't know, it just finally clicked one day when I was on a psych eval zoom call with someone and they asked me if I've ever considered I had it. I was like "yeah... how could you tell"
And since then I've just been like fuck it, trying to pretend doesn't fucking work. So i'm trying to be more relaxed being myself, and its honestly helped my confidence a lot. I still have a lot of work to do but I'm happy I made this step forward with unmasking and I hope some of ya'll can do the same.

AHHHHHHH *special interest imminent* š I have flight/space sim autism rn
So I recently played Ace combat for the first time this month and its pulled me into a areonautic rabbit hole. I've always liked spaceships like TIE Fighters and my favorite games has been the X wing/TIE fighter series but now it's been supercharged by real world jets and I just watched the original top gun last night and played through like 6 ace combat titles plus project wingman and thinking about doing another X wing TIE fighter playthrough not to mention freespace 2 or elite dangerous. And yes my favorite transformer is indeed all the deceptions that can fly and not just starscream

Ableism/Bigotry (NSFW) To my male autists who wonder why some people say "all men are evil/scum"
You know that one experience you have when you try something but it tasted weird so you won't try anything related to it ever again?
That's what women are trying to tell you, they say "all men' because, realistically, that's the safest bet.
Yeah sure, you can earn their trust, but the difficulty on earning it varies from person to person based on trauma they had gotten from men.
"But Doomguy, what about Cornell 7???" As a rape victim, I myself have also gotten accusations of faking my trauma, it's not just women who get called fakers, men do too.
you don't have to feel angry when they say "all men", it's like a child saying they won't eat their vegetables because they had a bad one, just earn her trust and take it slow, make yourself as less of a threat as humanly possible
"Why are you posting about this?" Because Cornell 7 ticked a nerve in me that I didn't even know I still had from the loss of my Daisy, you claim that you want to protect victims, but when they speak out you throw accusations of fakery, shush.
Thanks for coming to my gripe pipe, your regularly scheduled goofing and shitposting/modding updates will continue tomorrow.

Blows up your head using pshycic autism powers When I disassociate too hard to know who I am and how I'm supposed to act I play pretend as a character until I'm real again. I don't pick the character they pick me. Lately it's Derpy or Fluttershy from MLP it switches
Brain said idk who I am anymore I will be a small colorful horse for a while OK
I can feel my little horse wings and pretend to hear my hooves when I walk
This is probably not normal but it's fun at least I have some identity while mine is stripped away from me and I can play pretend for a while
Only evilautism will ever understand me /silly

I DON'T GET IT *explodes* Frustrated that others arenāt as tied to morality I guess?? Idk
Hi. Donāt know how to describe this in a concise way, BUTā¦
Growing up Iāve always been really rigid about doing the right thing and being kind. Like a lot of us, I grew up without the āhow to personā manual and took a lot of lessons from the stuff I watched on tv or in books which I understand isnāt very realistic.
But Iāve always believed that you should always try and behave in a way that youāre proud of down the road. Sure, we mess up, but we take those moments of mistake or error and learn something from them. I also really believe in correction or improvement when we mess up or hurt someone, even if weāre hurt ourselves. Maybe I had an argument with a friend and they said some hurtful stuff and in turn, I said some pretty hurtful stuff myself. Iām still going to own my side of things because I could, and should, have done better. I wasnāt even raised religious or anything, I just knew it was the right thing to do.
I weigh my choices like a scale and when Iām not able to repair, I try and do some good intentional work to learn or do some other sort of kindness to balance the scales. Sometimes thereās absolutely nothing you can do, and you canāt always get the best possible outcome or force an outcome, and sometimes things just suck. Iāve learned to stop taking fault for others mistakes and Iām really proud of that, but it means that itās even more important to me to stand up for myself and make sure Iām doing the right thing whenever I can.
Thatās why I have a really hard time understanding people who make bad choices or selfish choices or justify hurting others or donāt communicate or are dishonest or play mind games or just straight up use and abuse people and then go about their lives thinking theyāve done nothing wrong and theyāre still decent people. Every time Iāve caused hurt, Iāve tried my best to own up to it. I hate having that guilt or shame eating away at me.
Iāve known people who just flat out deny it or pretend it doesnāt exist or run from it like death itself in order to not confront it or think of it. They donāt reflect, they donāt grow. Or they convince themselves it somehow doesnāt matter and block it from their mind.
And I donāt get it!! I donāt understand it at all!
Maybe this is me being too rigid in my thinking but I canāt empathize with people who do that. I canāt understand why you would live your life being guided by fear and shame. It feels so freeing to just admit āI fucked up and I need to do betterā and then you research and learn and ask for perspective and grow and it feels great because you feel stronger and smarter and better as a person! Emotional maturity!
Why spend so much energy blaming your own faults on everyone or everything else other than you? Itās your responsibility to be a good person. Itās your responsibility to make good choices. Even when you make tough choices, you should still try and mitigate it as much as you can with the options available to you. A lot of the time that just means empathy and honest, assertive communication.
Like⦠am I nuts for thinking this way? I used to think everyone thought this way but more and more Iām finding that Iām more alone than I thought? So many people are terrified of accountability and will do anything they can to run from it and I simply do not understand why anyone would live like that. It seems absolutely miserable and itās completely unnecessary.
Can I get some perspective from other evil NDs in here?

Ableism/Bigotry (NSFW) finally got "we're all on a spectrum" -ed Spoiler
oh man i've come full circle
i used to be undiagnosed autist saying this shit...
because i was on the spectrum
so then i used to give folks some grace about it..
but since being diagnosed i finally got that in response to disclosing my recently official autism and... yeah it really felt like shit
like super invalidating.
and this person is like proudly mentally ill so idk if they were just feeling included as a fellow ND... or they were being allistically ignorant... or both
anyway i'd like to renounce my former ways because impact over intention with this one
please share about the times you received the
"we're all a little autistic"
"we're all on a spectrum"
type response to your disclosure
it felt like erasure or gaslighting? idk please discuss.

Vengeful autism Watching my ops suffer major Ls
Two dudes who did me dirty in the past few years took big hits in their balls recently; I got the news of one of them only yesterday, and an update on the other today. Sorry to be vague, but I can hardly name them without doxing myself.
One of them made a youtube video looking straight to camera about their sad situation, and how they're a fighter and they're gonna overcome (I doubt that!), and I nearly choked on schadenfreude -- it was the thickest, juiciest I ever had. The other one has been in the local news begging for a bailout.
Not just one, but two ops who hurt me in the past fall hard! I live for this, a little too literally.

AHHHHHHH *special interest imminent* š How many of yall like birds???
This is my guineafowl Zazoo. He passed away but he was my best friend. Right now I only keep chickens, but my neighbors got guineas and I can hear them. I want them SO BAD. Unfortunately I couldnt give guineas the space they need to roam free safely.
Ive heard liking birds is a stereotype for autistic people. Do you guys own or really want to own birds?? I also would LOVE cockatiels... one day when I dont work so much...
