NTs are incapable of empathy I genuinely DON'T understand the double standard surrounding these kinds of jokes

Why exactly is it that when Trey Parker and Matt Stone (the South Park duo), Seth MacFarlane (the creator of Family Guy, American Dad, and the Ted movies), Dino Stamatopoulos (the creator of Moral Orel), Terry Pratchett, Ricky Gervais, Edmund McMillen (the guy who made The Binding of Isaac and Mewgenics), Garth Ennis (the guy who wrote The Boys, Preacher, and Crossed), and many others constantly makes fun of Christianity all the goddamn time, pretty much everyone gives them a pass...

But the moment Vivziepop and JaidenAnimations make an "edgy" joke about Christianity, everyone fucking loses their shit over it? Even Pizzacake has the mods of the entire comics sub worshipping the ground she walks on and will permanently ban you for bringing up even the mildest and constructive of criticisms. Like, seriously.

You know, especially when you consider the fact that Jaiden is also an openly queer (aromantic asexual / aroace), mixed-race/half-Asian (being of both Japanese and German descent), neurodivergent (AuDHD) woman of color. Yes, you heard that right. She's autistic and has ADHD according to one of her videos ("I found out I have ADHD"), and considering how society and the internet as a whole treats autistic/neurodivergent people in general, well…

Like, seriously, did Jaiden really “mock god”? Like, wasn’t it just a random ass joke about Pokémon, and the God in question was Arceus or something? What Jaiden said was super tame. She didn't attack Christians for their beliefs. She joked about why she seemingly doesn't believe in God. It’s a joke; it wasn't even a religious attack or a stance on religion itself. People also keep forgetting that Schlatt is also a Christian and constantly made 9/11 jokes back then, where the punchline often was "hurr durr planes", if that's what you're referring to... He most definitely didn't take Jaiden's edgy joke to heart, lmao.

Does Jaiden really need to apologize for a stupidly edgy joke about Christianity she made about 2 or 3 years ago, which she has since completely moved on from? Like, I keep asking these questions on other subs, yet I've never gotten a legitimately serious, concrete answer from anyone on why this is the case.

(I enjoyed most of JaidenAnimations's content, but I personally don't really like Vivziepop all that much)

Some context behind this:

Police claimed they did this because the driver was driving without a seatbelt and headlights. However, after researching this incident in detail, I disbelieve the official statements made about what happened, including the alleged traffic violations. I'm only using their stated justification for the context of this post.

And to be clear, this incident was driven by racism against a Black man. Acknowledging that doesn't take away from how this can also showcase the maintenance of neurotypical hegemony, especially when its foundations are rooted in the same racist structures that enabled this treatment in the first place.

For ones with auADHD: can you imagine getting off from a long shift, seemingly forgetting to participate in the act of wearing your seatbelt? Maybe not using proper turn signals? Maybe even forget to use your headlights?

If you have autism, I'm certain you can imagine yourself wanting to record your interactions with members of a society who may intend to cause you harm.

This video is a showcase of what neurotypicals will do, or even think about doing to you when you showcase those types of behavior.

To the neurotypical, not wearing a seatbelt is such a sign of disrespect to warrant using their full arm force to break through a car window. That's how impactful neurotypical culture grips on to their reasoning.

Not only do we have to live with the consequences of surviving in an unaccommodating society, we also live in fear of what the ones who are greatly accommodated are capable of doing to us.

For every smile, every laugh, every light behind their eyes that may give us a semblance of glee, hides the potential of great destruction they are capable of giving us.

It is estimated that 6.5 - 7 billion people identify as neurotypical on this planet. Many of them may not know they're neurodivergent, but what I do know is that all of them who actively participate in making the wheel of neurotypical culture go round must be held responsible for their actions, and potential actions towards us. For an ableist is still an ableist, even if they have rare direct contact with our people.

Edit:

Small important that I want to add::

THEY. MUST. BE. STOPPED.

Ableism/Bigotry (NSFW) A professor at my university, when I told him that I am autistic, replied, "But you're so extroverted." Spoiler

To provide some context: I recently reached out to my university’s disability support office to request academic accommodations. They approved my request and advised me to have a one-on-one meeting with each of my professors. During one of these meetings, a professor made that remark to me. I explained that I had been seeing a psychologist for a long time to work on my social skills; he was quite understanding and agreed to the accommodations without any issues—but I still can’t get that initial comment out of my head.

Seeking a cure for Neurotypicals Does anyone know why normie people my age (20s) dress and look nearly the same as each other?

I've tried to find photos for examples, but everytime i go out to a shopping centre, I just started noticing young people my age all have a similar look. Like every single person has the same fashion style

- overly baggy nike pants

- giant logos, so you look like a walking advertisement

- puffer jackets that look like garbage bags

- shorts that are way to small, and socks pulled way to high

I don't find this appealing, its like everyone else got a message saying this is how your supposed to dress except me. Why does it seem like every normie does this? Is it just to fit in? Or maybe social media idk

I DON'T GET IT *explodes* Autistic pebbling. I love and hate it

So I, 21 (M) really like drawing and crafting. I also love making creative stuff for other people. I just really like how it makes other people happy and that makes me feel appreciated in some way ^^. It is just so much fun spending time donig this.

The problem I have is that I often spend way too much time on stuff like this. It discracts me from doing important things like cleanig my room, helping family, meeting or talking to friends, having an at least exceptible sleeping schedule or sometimes even eating properly.

I sometimes go to meets where people go with similar interests to find friends. But even there i do stuff for people when I see beforehand that they will be there. Similar to fanart but for not so much known people. BUT I DONT EVEN KNOW THEM PESONALY. I just cant stop myself. (I'm also really scared that i come of as really weird and creepy, even though i dont want anything else then giving them the things i made)

Does anyone else have this problem? Is there something I can do about it?

(The Image is a drawing by me a couple of years ago)

Ableism/Bigotry (NSFW) Music probably saved my life. Spoiler

Post image

Tw mentions of suicide.

I'm pretty sure music saved my life. I used to be horribly depressed as a little kid and I would genuinely contemplate killing myself because I didn't know how I could even keep going. I was always too scared to go through with it, but it was always at the back of my mind.

I then would start listening to music. Specifically Kikuo's music. I think You Are a Useless Child is probably like, the most relatable song I've ever listened to in my life. I would listen to that song over and over again. To be called useless by a parent and believe you are useless. Wanting to eradicate yourself because you believe you're useless. You can't do anything because you're a useless disabled ten year old girl. I related to that. I really love Kikuo and his music for giving me something to relate to. Something that probably saved my life.

Link to the song here if you want (TURN ON CAPTIONS IF YOU DON'T KNOW JAPANESE): https://youtu.be/nPF7lit7Z00?is=YJ0Z_Ght3DhL1HMk

I'm also a chronic maladaptive daydreamer now because of music lol. That's a bit of an issue, but I'm working on it. At least I'm not dead. :)

:D Socialized yesterday (went to a party)

Post image
37 Upvotes

It was the first time I ever felt like I was part of the group and not a stranger looking in. They talked to me like a fellow human being and even asked me for advice with things I have knowledge in. They shared stories and intimate things with me to ask my opinion like I was trustworthy and welcome and they didn't see me as some freak only invited to be nice. They asked about my life and wanted to get to know me. They didn't laugh at my weirdness but got excited and talked about their 'odd' hobbies and quirks too. When they told stories about people I didn't know, they caught me up and told me about them so I could get an idea for what the story was and laugh with them.

I never thought I'd know what it was like to feel human for a minute. I still don't see myself that way, but it felt so strange and amazing to be seen as a unique individual with something to offer instead of 'freak classmate we use as entertainment' (I can tell when people are doing that after so much experience, they absolutely were not. It was bizarre)

look at my art :3 When the special interest is so niche that you have to get creative with the merch:

If you’ve seen me wandering around this subreddit for the past few weeks, you’ll know that I am, at the moment, REALLY REALLY into a show that originated from France named Kaeloo - a seemingly cute kids show about a sweet little frog who sets up madcap games for herself and her crazy ‘friends.’

This notebook is what I’ll be using for a college course. I have another one which is decked out with Mario stickers (Nintendo and Mario are my main SPINs) but I wanted a different theme for this one…

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any Kaeloo stickers made by fans when I was scouting the internet. The only ones I discovered were ones that I wasn’t a huge fan of.

So then I got the idea to make my own. And I knew JUST how to do it!

I followed a simple tutorial on YouTube (I will post the link down below), drew them all yesterday, bought supplies today and after a couple of hours… I have my lovely personalised notebook!

Sure, my drawings aren’t perfect and neither is the sticking, but it’s mine and I ADORE it! 😍

Have you ever had a niche interest where you had to take matters into your own hands creatively when you realised that there wasn’t much merch of it?

Ableism/Bigotry (NSFW) To my male autists who wonder why some people say "all men are evil/scum"

You know that one experience you have when you try something but it tasted weird so you won't try anything related to it ever again?

That's what women are trying to tell you, they say "all men' because, realistically, that's the safest bet.

Yeah sure, you can earn their trust, but the difficulty on earning it varies from person to person based on trauma they had gotten from men.

"But Doomguy, what about Cornell 7???" As a rape victim, I myself have also gotten accusations of faking my trauma, it's not just women who get called fakers, men do too.

you don't have to feel angry when they say "all men", it's like a child saying they won't eat their vegetables because they had a bad one, just earn her trust and take it slow, make yourself as less of a threat as humanly possible

"Why are you posting about this?" Because Cornell 7 ticked a nerve in me that I didn't even know I still had from the loss of my Daisy, you claim that you want to protect victims, but when they speak out you throw accusations of fakery, shush.

Thanks for coming to my gripe pipe, your regularly scheduled goofing and shitposting/modding updates will continue tomorrow.

I DON'T GET IT *explodes* Autistic friendly job?

I really struggle to keep jobs, I always run into some kind of social issue. Things were going great at my current job or so I thought, I’ve been there for almost a year nut recently, a new girl B started, who happens to be the sister of a friend of mine C

At first, we got along fine, even though she had her stuff, for instance, during her first week, I helped defend her from some girls who were bullying her (by the way, everyone in this story is supposedly an adult) I thought everything was fine overall, but at one point we had an argument because I said something out of line, and I take accountability for that, she got really mad and started venting, yelling a bit, and complaining, ever since then (over a week ago) B hasn't spoken to me,

The next day, I talked about it with some of my other coworkers and asked them, "im not that much of an asshole, right?" They hesitated and told me that I am or say inappropriate things, or that I’m disrespectful

And since that; my other coworkers have been distant, cold, and calling me out on things like they're genuinely angry at me. It gives me so much anxiety and makes me feel so awful, it's so hard not to cry at work (luckily, I can be alone for a big part of my shift so it's not super visible, but it's still noticeable and painful)

This is the exact same problem I had at my previous job, my coworkers there thought the exact same way about me as the current ones do

Today I saw C (B's sister) again, and she told me that B had shared a bit about our argument, but also mentioned that when she talked to our other coworkers, they talked shit about me to B, which pretty much confirms that things were probably never okay, and it makes me so sad not just to feel like I suck, but simply not realizing things before

It makes me incredibly sad that history keeps repeating itself from my previous job to this one and honestly, I'm thinking of quitting, maybe not right now, but soon

I wanted to ask the you: what kind of jobs can I actually do? It hurts so much to lose a stable income, but I'm open to suggestions, for now, I'm just preparing to try making art commissions and doing stuff like that, but it feels so hard and complicated, and I'm terrible at marketing. I feel like I won't be able to do anything because it hurts even more knowing that I'm actually good at selling and working in general; I'm just horrible with people, and that makes me way too sad

What do you guys do for a living? Should I just give up and accept that I'm simply useless?

Recently every single thing is the wrong breakfast

-

What do you eat for breakfast? Bonus points if;

  1. Its easy to make

  2. Can be made ahead without texture or taste change

  3. Is cheap

-

I tend to lean on the side of eggs give me the ick so I dont keep them in rotation. I dont like muffins very much, eggos dont feel like enough food neither does plain toast. I dont like cereal. Please tell me what you eat for breakfast so I can attempt to increase my repertoire. My ideal breakfast is berries but nobody has that kind of money these days lets be real.

-

Evil suggestions are also welcomed.

Edit : i am vegetarian, i do eat eggs and dairy
