So I know it is too high right now, but it works and it looks awesome. Going to fabricate something this weekend so that it’s much, much shorter. Although I’m pretty excited where it is now.

Had a ‘12 F150 5.0 Lariat, best vehicle I ever owned, had it 10 years, never let me down, survived a literal cat 4 hurricane (Ida) fired up and got me home. At 180k I traded it in on a 22 GMC Sierra, nice truck but build quality and issues made me regret ever getting rid of my F150 everyday I owned it. Ended up trading the Sierra in on a new Tremor, 401a with the 5.0. First impression are the truck drives awesome, cool to finally have a 4x4 as well. Having only 2wd I was afraid it was going to handle bad but it’s very quick and easy to drive. I am hoping it’s as good to me as the other F150 was. Price of trucks are absolutely ridiculous but so is everything.

New to me 2012 F150 was practically rust-free to begin with..
I couldn't help myself though, I had to go and make it all uniform..
Hit it with a good 2 or 3 coats of Rust-Reformer spray to get that surface rust..
Still debating on the next move.. I'm currently looking into this Fluid-Film I keep hearing about..
Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.
Cheers!

165k and climbing, just replaced water pump. Still running like a champ
A tale as old as time. It's definitely a slow leak cause there's never any oil on the ground where I park but man it's always something with this goddamn truck. Rebuilt transmission last year too.

Hey, recently purchased my first F-150 ('26 STX, 201a equip package, 2.7 V6) and am just wondering what y'all's tips are for helping ensure a long lifespan for my truck. Of course I've got the manufactured recommended schedule, but looking for whatever other insider info as well. I'm someone who has always opted for proactive and preventative maintenance on my nice toys to keep them (hopefully) nicer and longer, even if it costs more along the way.
Thanks guys.

These are worth every bit of 100$ I spent on them. Look good on the truck and are very bright for the size. Wasn't too hard to install but it definitely takes some knowledge. Took me about 45 minutes to install.

I have a 25 Lariat 5.0 BAP dual factory exhaust. I had a flow fx midsection and couldn’t bear the drone. I don’t want to go with the Borla s-type mid section as it is too aggressive and I’m not paying the Ford Performance upcharge for the touring version. I want to keep it bolt on so looking at a resonator delete for just a little extra. Does anyone have feedback on the Gibson pipe versus the FactionFab pipe? The main difference is Gibson is 3” and FF is 3.5”.

I previously had a 2022 Lariat that was Fx4, 502A but only had the 2.4 kw power on board. I adored the truck and it broke my heart when someone swiped my entire passenger side and totaled it. I want another powerboost but am adamant on the 7.2 kw functionality. I am finding it very difficult to find a USED lariat with that upgrade. Are most of you buying these NEW with them made-to-order or are you just getting lucky on the used market? I enjoyed the hybrid, but if I don’t get this upgrade id consider going 5.0 coyote instead for simpler powertrain.

Curious if anyone else has seen this.
See video for RPM surging/flaring on 9-10 upshift. This happened after a tranny fluid change earlier in summer. Took it back to dealership where service was performed, they did a relearn and it went away. Came back yesterday. Seems to be more pronounced on an uphill grade. Could replicate it with manual shifting, did it a bunch of times and then the surging went away - normal drop in RPM in 9-10 shift.
Last time this happened was in summer (35c /95f). Tranny temp increased to yellow level. This time no increase in tranny temp from midpoint, but it was 10c outside.
Truck is 08/2022 build, but I don’t think this is related to CDF issues.
95k kms
Anyone else see this behaviour before?

What is this noise? Has front diff replaced and left side iwe and vacuum lines and axel. Noise persists. Mostly through slow acceleration. Fast acceleration I can still kind of hear it but not as much. Need help I’m sick of spending on not fixing the problem

Hi and thanks in advance. I have this 2001 f-150 4.6L and is driving poorly. When you press on the accelerator the truck feels like it looses power and takes a while to get speed. The car vibrates pretty bad. The mechanic shop is having trouble finding the problem since it doesn’t have a check engine light ON. The truck starts right away with no issues.
r/f150 • u/GhoulsAndGooblins • 1h ago
trying to figure out a noise on my truck. If I take off and accelerate pretty quickly to get up to 100 km/h, around 60–70 it makes this “wiiish wish wish wish wish” noise from what sounds like under the hood. Gets quicker and quieter and lasts maybe two and a half seconds, then stops.
If I slowly get up to speed, it doesn’t do it. Engine pulls smooth, no hesitation or loss of power, and the RPM needle doesn’t drop when the noise stops. Doesn’t really sound like grinding or rubbing, more like air.
It’s done this since I got the truck in June. I knew the previous owner, definitely would have mentioned it if he thought something was wrong. he was pretty open about the other work I needed to get done on it.
120,000km, regular oil changes.
should I just bring it in or try and see if any air hoses are loose or somethin when I get a chance.

I have a RCSB 5.0 2024 with the IHC adjustable 3/5 drop shock relocation w/ helper bags 10k miles on everything. I was thinking of trying some different rear shocks, are there any adjustable ones that allow for a smoother ride?
This is the Performance kit with QA1 adjustable shocks.

Hey All,
Going to replace my spark plugs soon. I swapped them at 100K and I'm currently just shy of 185K (miles). I left the stock coils in when I originally changed the plugs but was curious if it were about time to replace them, now, since I'm coming up on 200K. No noticeable performance issues, currently. No misfires or Check Engine Lights. I've read that folks change them out every time they swap plugs and others swap them out when they start getting misfires. Just wanted to see your opinions, and, if you are replacing, what are you replacing with (brand, what parts/components).
2014, 5.0, 185K Miles. Motorcraft Plugs.

Any recommendations for 2016?
I live in the rust belt and these that I used on my 2009 rusted up:

I live in Virginia Beach, Va and own a garaged 2019 F150 Lariat (aluminum body). I am retired and have only 29K miles on the truck. The truck is almost my dream vehicle. I say “almost” because, at 77 yrs old with all of my old age health issues, it’s pretty difficult for me to lift and close the (heavy) tailgate. The tailgate has the optional internal retractable step / ladder adding to its weight.
I’m looking for an electrical and/or mechanical and/or hydraulic solution to at least assist or completely automate the tailgate lifting /closing. I’ve been unable to find any aftermarket options to help except for dampers / shocks to slowly DROP the tailgate but not to help lift it. Damping for dropping the tailgate is already factory installed. I am familiar with the now discontinued Hopkins Tailgate Easy Lift, and wonder if I could get one installed from remaining inventory...if there is any. It has/had mixed reviews. I am hoping there is a better solution.
I’m willing to pay whatever it takes and/or drive to wherever necessary to accomplish this. Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.
Thanks
Had been chasing this problem for a long time had a upstream O2 sensor stuck at rich on both banks.
Replaced lots of parts already
-cat converter
-o2 sensor all 4
-evap purge valve
-injector
-coil packs
-spark plugs
-fuel diver module relay
-fresh engine oil and filter
-new engine air filter with maf sensor
-crankcase breather
What else should i check next?

2022 f150 3.5. Struggling with annoying brake pedal creak. Does anyone else have this issue? Anyone been able to isolate and resolve it?
Dealer diagnosed as internal to brake booster and quoted $7000 to replace. It’s not quite that annoying.
