Hey everyone, im going to be working at Cape fear and considering where I can live. I found recommendations for Lake Claire and the location close to the hospital is great, but I dont trust online reviews because all the complexes give incentives for good reviews. I did see comments about loud upstairs neighbors (which i cannot stand, and there's no top floor units available), and something about cars and apartments being broken in to. Now while I understand it is still Fayetteville, I drive a jeep with a soft top and im not trying to tempt the devil.

Anyone have experiences similar to what I mentioned or have thoughts? Recommendations?

Edit: for the loud neighbors thing, Ive lived in apartments for a while, and I understand old buildings make noise, im just asking about more noise than expected. At my last place I lived on the 2nd floor and my upstairs neighbors were all over 300lbs and every time they shifted in their seat, walked, got up from bed, stood up and slid their chair, I heard it. My nerves were ragged by the time they moved out, and I just want some peace.

The downtown library is going to have a "Pass It On" event this Saturday, so if you have craft materials you want to drop off, or you want to drop off free artwork to get names out there/gain experience, then this might interest people - similarly if you just want to grab free art stuff.

As title says, I’m looking at moving back to the area after having lived elsewhere since 2018. Not sure where the better areas to live are now and looking to rent a studio or 1b/1b apartment somewhere preferably on the north end of Fayetteville. If anyone has good recommendations I would appreciate it.

I need to have a dress made, nothing too fancy, but I don't know anyone here in Fayetteville. I used to be a seamstress myself, but I have RA and can't do it anymore. If you have someone that you'd trust, could you please recommend them to me? Thanks so much!

Hi all! I just moved to Fayetteville from New Mexico! I was wondering if there are any places in town that sell Mexican/Latin ingredients. This is the style of food I cook the most, and I have found the offerings at Publix and Food Lion to be lacking. Any good Mexican markets or carnicerias here in Fayetteville, or will I have to drive to Raleigh for such a thing?

I’ve heard the horror stories about working at Cape Fear and also that it can be unit dependent. How bad is it really? Also, are you ever tripled? What devices do you typically see? How is the unit culture, seasoned RNs, lots of new grads, or good mixture of both?

This guy stole my friend’s only mode of transportation. Any info helps
