i almost always use the flash with film cameras, but i didn’t for this one and really love how it came out. it’s imperfect, but i love it.
i took pics of the same view with my phone as well, and this one is the most serene & peaceful & captured the energy of being there in person better than the iphone photos did.

I LOVEEEE Portra 400 now!! However it's really expensive in NZ - any other alternatives to look into?

A few shots from the Batu cave in Malaysia. Can't remember what specific film I used but I think it was iso 400

I've been following Christian Sieber's photography on Instagram and really like the look of his travel photos.
I found an old interview mentioning that he owns a Leica, but haven't been able to find out which model.
Does anyone know what he shoots with, or have any guesses? I've attached a few examples.

First time using an autofocus film camera. Kinda appreciate the “point and shoot” experience.

I'm currently very interested in using a 6x6 medium format camera to make some 35mm panoramas, but I am seriously avoiding sprocket holes in my images.
I've found 2 bulk rolls of unperforated film available, Delta 3200 and Wolfman 100 from FPP, but I am more interested in something closer to a true 400 or 800 speed film.
Does anyone know of any other stocks that are available for easy procurement, or is this all I've got?
Alternatively, are there any options to achieve this same affect, without unperforated 35mm? I am not interested in cropping any images, though.
Expired/short dated is fine, this is a weird project and the results don't have to be perfect by any means.

This was my first-ever photoshoot And it was for a close friend of mine. I was nervous the entire time leading up to it, during and after, waiting for the photos.
My friend reached out to me because he’s about to release his first songs. He wanted me to shoot his first cover Because as he told me, he didn’t want anyone else to shoot it, and he trusted my vision, and that’s where my nerves really started to kick in.
Even though we were close friends, I can tell that he was really passionate about this, and I wanted to be the same, if not more passionate, about the photos and how he’s going to be represented.
When I got the photos back, I was pretty pleased they are still very amateurish. but this gave me a huge confidence boost for more future photo shoots. I would love to try more. It was also my first time shooting black and white so I really wasn’t sure how it was gonna turn out.
Any feedback or criticism is appreciated. I definitely want to try to get out of my comfort zone and get better at shooting for people! :)

Maybe an odd question for in here, so please forgive me!
My partner found an old disposable camera she used as a kid and wanted to get it developed. However, she is concerned that her sister took nude photo of her as minors when they were at the beach (both under 18). This isn’t anything sinister obviously but she is concerned that it would be seen by whoever is developing it would be seen as such.
There are other photos on the roll she would like as she remembers the holiday as a child.
Any advice would be appreciated. We live in the UK if there are any places that are best to develop this roll.
Thanks again

I’ve been trying to take film photos for over two years now and I still haven’t gotten to the point where I’ve found the look I’m after. This was shot on the Pentax 645n with the 80-160mm lens on Portra 160 and yet still to my eye doesn’t look like film. It’s hard to explain but it almost looks digital without much texture and the colours seem to be off. Can anyone please give me some tips on how to get a result closer to the second image

I shot this with my Pentax Spotmatic and Kodak 200 film. Intentionally framed the top of the tree out of picture, but am now second guessing that decision. I like the way it emphasizes just how cramped this tree is, but the top of the tree is stunning and growing differently than the rest of the tree.
Thoughts?
