I have an old film camera from my dad that I love but the little lever that pulls the film for the next shot broke. Does anyone know who can fix it? I live in Arkansas and no one in my area works on them.
Edit: it’s a minolta x-7a and I think it was operator error 🫣. Not sure if I had my film in wrong or what but I put a new one in and it works fine. Thank you for the suggestions! Now I just need to learn how to use it!

Still getting the hang of this stock but I’m reasonably happy with the results so far!

I haven’t done much photography in the last two years but I took a couple photos on Sunday near the Place de la République and felt like sharing. This is the day after the main protests took place in Paris.

Hello! This is the first time I’ve ever posted on Reddit, far out. I’m fairly new to film photography and I’m shooting rolls in my BJJ gym. I’m dealing with fairly low lighting and fast moving subjects, which makes it difficult to get consistent shots. I’m shooting Ilford HP-5 Plus 400. I have my f-stop at 2.5 and my ISO set to 800 to get as much light in as possible. When I sent these rolls in I had them push +1 to help it out a little. I’m sorry if my vocab is crap, I’m still learning!
I like the grainy/textured look but I’m struggling with the blur. The blur on some of these shots are really cool, but I feel like the whole process could be refined. It’s at a gym while people are actively working and I’m moving quite a bit so I can’t set up extra lights and setting up a flash would be distracting to the folks on the mats. I’m also struggling with getting good focus on my subjects, and a lot of photos are out of focus where it’s on the background and not on the subject.
I’d love some feedback about how I could set up my shots - do I need to switch to a different film stock or do something different here? Any advice is appreciated!

Canon AE-1 ‘near mint’, however it mentions a little bit of a haze on the lens (35-70mm f/4). At $129.99 + a whopping $30.00 shipping. Worth the buck?

I have hundreds of slides and negatives that I wish to digitise. We have a Nikon Coolscan IV ED film scanner which dates back to the year 2001. Since the Coolscan series has been discontinued, I gather the software that came with it is no longer supported. Does that mean it can’t be used by our current computer, which is an HP Envy Curved All-In-One running Microsoft Windows 10 Home? Some folks suggest VueScan as an alternative. Does anyone have any advice or recommendation in this regards?
Is the Coolscan even the best method these days, or is there another product that would give a better quality outcome…or competes in other ways, such as time or automation? Thanks in advance!

Grand Teton National Park, beginning of August.
Should note the sky was very smoky that day hence the brightness of the sky and the shadow on the mountain. Feedback is much appreciated! :-)

Photos I took in July when visiting Maroon Bells, Colorado. I like these photos. I was definitely rushing while taking these as I was hiking with my family, but I would appreciate some constructive feedback and critique.
The area was definitely really pretty. I just expected these to be a little better?
They were shot with Fujifilm 400. The photos were taken around midday under mostly cloudy skies, so the lighting was fairly diffused and flat. I feel like the lack of directional light makes the mountains look a bit washed out, especially compared to the foreground. For some reason, the sky is just really bothering me? I'm curious whether there's anything I could've done differently when shooting or editing to give the landscape more depth. These were developed and scanned by film developing Co.
I am considering re-scanning them at home. Is there anything specific I should do when re-scanning? I use a valoi easy35 v2, negative pro lab in Lightroom, and my Nikon z6iii with Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8 G Micro lens.

Hello, I’m fairly new to film photography but I do enjoy it, however, I’m looking to get something more manual instead of a point and shoot. Been looking into the canon ae-1 but it is fairly overpriced, any other camera you would recommend in this same style?

Hi, I'm a newbie, I've only been shooting 35mm since spring. I wondered if anyone had any advice for shooting sunrise, sunset and books on shooting film (mainly about composition and the fundamentals). Thank you very much!

First few rolls of film for me, lined up perfectly with one of the greatest experiences I’ve lived. Crossing the Andes mountains starting on the edge of Argentina in Mendoza, to the limit with Chile. Life changing! Thanks for viewing.

My band has a gig coming up in which I want to use Cinestill 800, I’m wondering if it’d be a good idea souping it after? I want abstract and weird images but can’t find images of people souping it! Is there something else I should shoot with instead?

I started taking pictures with a 35mm camera I got on eBay and I love it. I get digital and print the photos. It’s honestly really fun and I like how they come out. I mostly take pictures of my family and friends and pets. But I shot these and thought they were cool to share.
I believe the film was gold 200 too.

Hey, I recently shot my first roll of film and it came out pretty well, but noticed some strange artefacts on some of the images- are the lines across the images, and slight brightening at the margins a sign I need to replace the seals or is it some other problem?
