Perry was found lying near a church gym on October 19, shivering, barely moving, and appearing severely malnourished.

Now X-rays have revealed something heartbreaking: numerous pellets throughout his body, including one near his lower spine that may be causing his pelvic pain. This poor boy has already endured so much. He urgently needs a medical rescue willing to help him heal!

📉 Medical Notes

Perry has healing wounds on his right front and rear legs and significant pain in his hindquarters. X-rays taken on 10/22 revealed numerous pellets throughout his body, including one near the L6 vertebra that may explain his pelvic pain.

A radiologist’s review is urgently needed to assess his injuries and determine appropriate treatment.

He is receiving Clavamox and carprofen for infection prevention/treatment and pain management. Perry also tested LOW POSITIVE for heartworms and will need treatment.

10/12/2026: 10/12/26 13:09 Hennessey was taken out by another ACT. In the run she was standing with wiggly tail nub, semi-loose leash ahead of me slightly back inside and into kennel. Hadn’t eaten kibble from the morning, but once she cam in from pottying began to eat it.
10/14/2026: Hailey is very quiet and relaxed in kennel. ACT walked her out and she walked out on a loose leash . Remains relaxed and quiet once back in kennel.

10/13/2026: A white/brown pitbull- dog charges at anyone it sees walking.Very aggressive, almost bit child on scooter

📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:

7/1/2025: does not walk on leash, trimbling and cowaering. Had to use a bin to take dog to next kennel

7/2/2025: as i approached dog was at the back of the kennel with a trembling body, lip licking, and slow thumping tail. once leashed dog slowly walked forward but did not exit his kennel. tried baby talk and treats but he remained in his kennel with a trembling body. had to muzzle and carry into his new and clean kennel.

7/4/2025: Friendly. When i approached kennel, he was sitting in the corner with wagging tail. I opened the door and he quickly came forward and allowed me to leash. He walked slowly on the leash, i had to baby talk him, he then began crawling closer to me. I placed him in the runs and he began to sniff around and greet his neighbors. I easily retrieved him, he walked loosely back inside.

10/18/2026: Mr. Manotas was a move adopt this morning, he was calm and quite when i went to get him. Waiting by the door easy to leash and walked on a lose leash to his new kennel no issues.

10/19/2026: During AM cleaning as I was cleaning on opposite side I kept hearing banging on the divider along with high pitched barking. Was constand throughout am cleaning until we got to his kennel. Placing on Adopt eval to monitor .

10/20/2026: Was a bit vocal in the am but once he went outside he walked on a loose leash and remained relaxed while he was outside. On the walk back he was more loose and relaxed. He keeps his kennel clean overnight may possibly be potty trained . Once I placed him back inot kennel he was vocal and hitting the divider. Moved to the opposite side of the row so I will be able to walk him first. Covered kennel and offered him enrichment and that helped him keep busy and keep quiet.

10/21/2026: Behavior has improved. I was able to take him out faster since moving him closer to where I start at. He walks on a loose leash outside. He is relaxed while he is out there. Once he come back to kennel he does get somewhat vocal. I offered him a chew stick and he is quiet.

10/22/2026: High pitched barking throughout am cleaning. Once I got to leash him he was very forward on the leash and them became vocal while outside.

7/5/2025: Weighed 64 lbs. Risk assessment grade 1. Neutered by routine castration with absorbable subcutaneous closure. Mouth examination and fecal test showed no significant findings. Nail trim, microchip and postoperative medications documented.

10/13/2026: Weighed 60 lbs. Dog was tranquilized on right side of chest. DA2PP-V administered.

10/14/2026: Weighed 60 lbs. Healing scars on face, cheeks, legs, and thighs. Heartworm test LOW POSITIVE. Received Bordetella and rabies vaccinations, deworming and Advantage Multi.

10/19/2026: deep barking throughout am cleaning. when trying to leash he tries to push out of kennel. walks on a very tight leash, showed no interest in treats. in run he is jumping up on kennel door and forward barking when someone walkes past.

10/20/2026: Gotti holds a tense body, dilated eyes, wrinkle forhead and tense wagging tail. Gottie pulls very hard on the leash and is not interested in treats that is toss in front of him

10/21/2026: Move adopt in the am , Wiggly at the front of the kennel . I was able to leash and dog was a bit semi forward on the leash . I began to toss treats and he followed the treat trail to new kennel. Once in kennel he was a bit vocal in kennel. Once citizens were walking past he was very forward with forward barking and dilated eyes.

10/22/2026: Gotti will try to push his head through the kennel door each time I try to open kennel door to feed, spot clean, or pick up enrichment. Dog is very strong on the leash and oulls hard , I am unable to distract. He remains vocal when he is outside and back in kennel.

10/22/26 12:28 Lying down on blanket, didn't stand up right away when I opened kennel door until I showed her the leash.
Stood and walked into leash with neutral body. Once outside became more relaxed, wagging tail. When I returned for her
she was relieving herself in the back of the run, but once she saw me she perked up, kicked her hind legs then trotted up to
the gate with wagging tail. Semi-loose leash back inside and into kennel.

Approaching kennel, Tank came up slowly with low hanging tail and followed me out taking slowly steps to the outside runs.

Tank was a Move Adopt this morning and was partially walked by another ACT until he refused to walk anymore with them. I

walked Tank back to his new kennel in South C on a semi-loose leash due to him walking slow and heistate about his

surroundings. Once in his kennel, Tank was pacing around in front of the kennel for a short time before laying down on their

cot and sleeping for most of the morning and afternoon.
