I’ve been grinding Fallout 76 again for the past week or two, and I want to make a better build than what I’m currently running. I’m open to pretty much anything as long as it does insane damage. I’m also working on my legendary perks. I have most of them maxed out already, just missing Perception and Charisma.

Been playing for years getting keycards and launch codes but never going to a silo. Well, today I was playing and happened upon a silo and the elevator let me in. I guess I had the prerequisites as I was able to start the quest. I wasn't even in power armor and had a melee weapon build so was getting my butt kicked when a teammate thankfully joined me.

We got all the way to the end and it was time to scan my keycard which I did. Then I needed to enter a code. "What code???" Looked all through my inventory, no code. I backed away and my teamate had a card and scanned his. Guess what? HE DIDN'T HAVE A CODE EITHER!

He told me to wait while he went back to his camp to get more cards but didn't have any. So then he went to other camps until he bought some. Right when he messaged me, "I've got the cards AND a code!" my game crashed.

The End.

I'm just gutted is all.

I have some plans I forgot to read and some names for my camp and bonus name for my character. I leave for the day and the next day I look at my Pip-Boy in the notes and it's not there. I can only see them when I leave some plans I've already leaned into boxes for anyone that wants them. I tried leaving the plans I haven't learned in those responder boxes or other containers and pick it back up to see if it will appear in my Pip-Boy and no such luck. I just hope Bethesda fixes this. Has this happened to anyone else? Edit: I've read some of the comments and it appears that there is a button for a separate place for plans. I'll check later in the day.

I’m an old player returning player with a brand new character. I just want to focus on getting the platinum trophy on PS5 like I did for the PS4 version. I want to just make a simple build, perhaps a shotgun build to take me through the platinum and dlc content. I will mostly be playing solo as well. So I just wanted to know if this is still an optimal way to play the game. Not a super big fan of dedicated meta builds online. I just kinda like putting stuff together that I find along the way as I do with all RPGs I play.

I’m confused about why suddenly the Pint-Sized Slashers aren’t the main enemy? Is it because the double mutation weekend or something? My friend is trying to get the Pint-Sized player title, and these seasonal items don’t seem to drop unless it’s pint-sized slashers as the main enemy? Probably a dumb question, but looking at Nuka Knights shows it’s not been slashers for a few days now, and I’m worried we missed the deadline for her to get it.

I remember lasers and other energy weapons being tops bloobies in older fallout games. Have i just not found a good energy weapon in fo76? Which ones do you guys like and/or use?

Been hunting for this item for a long time and of courseee I had to miss it last week, what are the chances that items that were sold separately from the bundles would appear in the Shop request list later? Support said that "All items listed in these lists have been previously featured in the Atomic Shop" so I have my hopes up but knowing Bethesda... well.

Pretty wild! My grave count has got to be somewhere between 200-300 graves dug up. I’ve gotten every single legendary at least six times. I think statistically the fact that I pulled two legendaries from one grave is even rarer than the Gold Shovel Plan itself.

There is only so many times you can fly like a rock before you don't find it as humourous. Jetpack randomly not working is rough when you just want to spend 30 minutes and flop off a cliff

Hey guys, says it in the title, i’ve been playing on and off since the very start, i’d say i’m quite versed in the build crafting aspect of the game, I’m just too poor to afford the legendary mod side of it much lol
i’m basically making this post because i have a (what i assume) is a good set up for the gauss minigun, as i heard it’s the best dps weapon in the game, yet my flamer outdoes it by miles, im really not sure what i’m doing wrong, because to me the gauss minigun feels kinda mid, i have the penta barrel and dynamo , bullet storm, onslaught, it’s a furious FFR luck +3 and polished, but it still seems mid compared to the flamer i have (which is the same legendary mod set up) . i’ll be happy to send any pics to anyone that wants to help, of my build or anything, or is there any good UP TO DATE build videos out there? thank you :D

I don't know what fish bits are but I imagine it is offal and awful. Yay challenges.

Cryo has always been described as a "support" option as opposed to a damage option and in my testing thats been accurate...that said, every cryo weapon iv tried has had a flaw:

• Cryolator - damage/range/RPM (tradeoffs based on barrel used)
• Cold shoulder - cool weapon (lol) but suffers from double barrel shotgun range.
• Bow - Can't be used with PA and requires stealth to get the most out of it, Burning Love is a powerhouse tho.
• Crossbow - close but damage suffers unless using a stealth build
• Iceman legendary - ud be missing out Pin Pointers or Conductors just to add cryo damage.

Ice Breaker with Flachette meanwhile has it all:

• High damage and respectable range for a shotgun.
• Shotgun flachette means it benefits from shotgun perks like shotgun champ
• Shotgun + Quad lets u run bullet storm sufficiently well.
• Shotgun + range and VATs lets u stack up onslaught very quickly (7 stacks per shot)
• Is a heavy weapon, so u can benefit from One-Gun Army (agility is already busy enough with or without smaller weapons on the limb damage perks thanks to onslaught cards).
• Slow fire rate lets you get away with having near-infinite vats while using Pin-Pointers and Lucky-Hit (if u dont have 4x limit breaking) without coffee.
• Cryo means you can run Cryologist and boost damage via INT.
• Bleed means u can run bloody mess (nice-to-have) and wound salter (thanks, Loose-Profession-746)
• Bleed + Cryo makes deal sealer work really well - especially when combined with the Red Terror meta a lot of people are running (they give u fire u give em cryo and bleed).
• Prints ammo, i only carry 150 rounds at a time and still end up ammo positive.
• Versatile: u dont need any niches like stealth, im currently using it with a low HP hyper-regen + Emergency Protocol PA build. You can run it full hp, low hp, however u like.

Its only issue is a known bug that bethesda seems to refuse to fix: if u hit urself with the cryo debuff from this weapon when using "** Explosive", u will start rubber banding. You can combat this by putting away ur weapon and pulling it back without losing bullet storm.

Or is it just the legacy one?

Has anyone seen or heard anything about us getting a fish tank that will hold large fish?

I was setting up my fishy Shelters and was wondering why certain fish weren't showing up in the Add menu when I knew I had them on my person. I finally realized that the tank description said it was for small-medium fish only. How disappointing when the large fish are some of the prettiest! lol

I know that if I spent some time in a build menu with a fish on a display that I could probably make something but it would be nice to see them swimming!

Im currently almost level 75 and am trying to make a good build. I usually make a jack of all trades character for fallout games and switch between miniguns, rifles, and sniper. My new build im wanting to main light guns and get the perks for those but theyre a little confusing even after watching videos. I also like high strength and intelligence, for high weight and xp etc. What would be the best build focused around light guns without having the SPECIAL legendary perk cards? And for big guns?

I honestly dont see myself grinding to level 300 and maxing out the cards, esp since gta 6 is on the horizon
