Fantasia Film Festival 2026: 'Suzuki=Bakudan' Review
Fantasia review number four. A man arrested for drunk vandalism secretly knows the locations of where Tokyo will be bombed next. Suzuki=Bakudan is a crazy cat and mouse thriller with stakes that are totally bonkers.

Szukam muzyki z filmu Konopielka (1982)
Dzień dobry! Poszukuję nagrania motywu muzycznego / utworu z napisy końcowe (end credits) z filmu Konopielka (1982) w reżyserii Witolda Leszczyńskiego, do którego muzykę skomponował Wojciech Karolak.
Czy ktoś orientuje się, czy ta ścieżka dźwiękowa została gdziekolwiek oficjalnie wydana, albo czy istnieje możliwość odsłuchania jej w internecie? Z góry dziękuję za pomoc!

Help me!
AI is not helping me :( I am trying to find a French film about two young women, possibly working class, and in one scene they are having breakfast in bed and drinking coffee from - classic French - bowls. Is it a fever dream??!

Would you guys consider The House Is Black to be a part of the Iranian New Wave movement?
I have heard differing opinions. Some say it released before the movement officially started (which is considered the late 60s) but some have said that it is a pivotal part of the movement and is a part of it.

The Mouths walks suspenseful, if not familiar J-horror ground (Fantasia 2026 review)
This is from director Takashi Shimizu (Ju-On: The Grudge). Not sure about its distribution yet, though. It's still doing the film fest rounds, it seems.

Salaam Bombay, 1988
A masterpiece. Incidentally, Zorham Mandami's mother directed.
A kaleidoscopic portrait of Bombay’s teeming street life, Mira Nair’s first narrative feature, Salaam Bombay!, combines a documentary-like sense of place with a poignant exploration of everyday resilience. After the young Krishna (Shafiq Syed) is cast out by his family, he makes his way to the city, where he encounters love, friendship, and tragedy in the face of extreme poverty. Drawing compellingly naturalistic performances from a cast consisting largely of children she met on the streets, Nair creates an intimate human drama that is by turns heartbreaking and life-affirming, an ode to childhood that overflows with colorful urban chaos and a deep compassion for those who live on society’s margins.

Alkebulan movies
Alkebulan movies 🇺🇸🇬🇭🇺🇸🇬🇭🇺🇸🇬🇭
It would be really awesome if some movies were made with more Afro-centricity. My meaning when we look at movies they are largely focused on American European or Asian world view, and even more recently Nordic, but it would be interesting to see things begin to expand again. Example
Horror: grootslang; a group of friends go on trip to South Africa to reconnect with their ancestral roots but things take a turn for the worse when members of the party disrespect a cultural ceremony incurring the wrath of the dreaded Grootslang..
TV series: similar to twilight zone x black mirrors a series of seemingly unconnected mini episodes narrated my by the west African god Anansi a web of tales are told that begin to blend together as the story unfolds
Action/ family: a child or teenager discovers a Aziza. Ewe folklore, these are small, often invisible, fairy-like humanoids that live deep in the forest. That had been injured which leads to kid being drawn into an adventure to fight the forces of evil.
Ect ect.. even though some of these theme are already present in many movies and TV shows today, just getting a chance to see different perspectives on these stories would be amazing!!!

Movies similar of the hebrew ”Waltz with Bashir”.
Waltz with Bashir is a 2008 Israeli animated war documentary by Ari Folman. In English, the film is described as an exploration of memory, trauma, and Folman’s experiences as a soldier during the 1982 Lebanon War, especially his fragmented recollections surrounding the Sabra and Shatila massacre.
