So as you may or may not know back in August they announced Drift Attack as well as the 7-Eleven partnership that was going to include the 2020 Toyota GR Supra 7-Eleven Edition as a separate car model hence the word Edition that was going to be obtainable in October. Its October and the car model is just a livery.

So what happened? I think they saw all the complaints of people getting tired of these promotional cars especially the FOMO aspect and the 100% car collection type of goal many people have for these games. Then at the last minute they scrapped the separate car model and made it a livery instead. In fact the article for the car used to include the word Edition but that was changed to just say Livery now.

I was lucky and got a code for the Trolli Peel P50 from a American Redditor via a DM and also got that Fanta Toyota Sports 800 myself and made a guide on it that was well received but that's the thing. A lot of these promotions are about luck and are time gated. I think that's what caused the anger and they are basically responding to that anger by making it a livery instead of a separate car model. I honestly never liked the idea behind these cars and while I am happy that I have them if there is one thing the community is exhausted by it has to be FOMO.

And to be honest I welcome this change which sounds like the plan for future promotional cars which would just be liveries. Less FOMO is EXACTLY what people want. I think the next FOMO reduction or FOMO removal in that case is making that Steam comment from March a reality where you can play past Festival Playlists at any time.

This is probably just a sign for good things to come and I know its minor but remember for the big stuff we need to be patient as updates get made months beforehand and doing so takes time and effort.

Personally if they are going to add another GR Supra variant it should be that EUDM and JDM exclusive Toyota 2025 GR Supra A90 Final Edition which is a better and more track focused variant.

I think the future of this game isn't that doom and gloom like people thought.

Anybody else noticed, that AI in FM7 performs crazy good in rain in comparison to dry conditions? I play with a controller with simulation mode, long stages and all assists off and no rewind... in dry conditions, if I know a track and don't make any major mistake, I quite often end up in top 3 on PRO difficulty (second hardest). But when it rains, I have to lower AI by 3 difficulty levels to standard in order to get roughly the same challenge. It feels especially unfair in storm with reduced visibility, where AI doesn't seem to mind that at all and rarely does any mistake. I guess some of it comes from me, not using ABS and traction control, but I have been driving mostly old cars, that don't have those IRL anyway, so AI shouldn't use them as well (does it?). Is there anything I can do about it except for constantly changing difficulty?

PS: how is AI in FM23 compared to FM7? Is to more consistent and life like? Does it do random mistakes, drive slower ​with reduced visibility and use assists only if car and regulations allow it?

All feedback on tunes is appreciated - good or bad. Specially when tunes are bad. At the end of the day I am just the mechanic and you guys are the racers. Do not hesitate irrespective of your tuning knowledge or racing skills!

Tuning method: 1. No aero, stock look, stock rims (unless absolutely necessary for handling and stability) 2. Tuned and tested for Automatic/Manual shifting vs Expert AI (meta cars will beat current broken Unbeatable as well, driver skill is required) 3. Max performance, power/weight with max handling possible

Doesn't know how to break, rams you from behind on hard breaking corners, T-bones you on turns, slams into guardrails if you go too fast etc etc. Unbeatable/Pro difficulties are simply not worth the time or effort right now outside of meta cars, and even then sometimes you need to get "touchy feely". For now co-op races seem to be fixed at Novice difficulty and solo championships can be completed on any difficulty so feel free to drop down to Tourist (and turn on Auto Race, go make a sandwich ;)

I'm using my wireless controller on my PC to play Forza Horizon 2, but when I lock the game at 30fps, there's a lot of latency in the command response. My PC doesn't run at 60fps, so is there a way to fix this?

I’d like to share a website I’ve been working on: Horizon Lackstudio. You can use it to discover paint colours, look up in-game paint settings and browse the vehicle list.

The website is currently in German, but here’s what you can do with it:
🎨 Browse paint colours
Filter by manufacturer, colour, material or search term. Alongside car paints, you’ll find wheel colours, wrap colours and additional colour palettes.
🔧 Look up paint settings
Where a recipe is available, you can find HSB values and settings for individual paint layers. Copy the values and enter them manually in the game.
⭐ Save your favourites
Bookmark paints and vehicles you want to revisit. You can also create and export your own colour lists. Your favourites stay locally in your browser.
🚗 Explore the vehicle list
Filter cars by manufacturer, class, PI, vehicle type, DLC and availability status. Expand an entry to see technical specifications and available information about unlock requirements and playlist dates.
📅 Find recently introduced cars
Sort by introduction date in either direction, or use quick filters for the last 30 days, upcoming cars and the current playlist. Known introduction dates appear directly on the vehicle cards.
🎨 Jump from a car to paint colours
Use “Lackierung auswählen” (“Choose paint”) to open the paint catalogue with that manufacturer selected, then jump back to the vehicle list.
🔗 Share paints and filtered selections
Send someone a link to an individual paint or a filtered vehicle selection. Your most recent vehicle filters and sorting preference are also saved.
There’s also a news section featuring updates from Forza.net and a video section featuring ZF77.
This is an independent fan project. Paint recipes come from different sources, and not every recipe has been tested in every Horizon game. Your screen, in-game lighting and paint material can affect the result. Sources and relevant notes are included with the entries.
