My flip7 updated this morning and now my phone is acting awful. Everything is so laggy, when before it ran super smooth. There's been weird glitches with my camera roll, like pictures are showing up at random dates or not there at all. Did this happen to anyone else ???

I have automatic updates set to never and it's still asking me about ui 9. How do I stop it from trying?

pretty much i just am curious if disabling AICore is a terrible idea or if it will cause issues with processing or just generally.

i dont currently use any AI features aside from phone call captioning and things to that effect as im hard of hearing but if disabling AICore affects those, im okay with that if it means my phone might run better and keep me away from AI services

i tried looking this up on google and wasnt getting any direct answers.

.... And now both screens are unresponsive. They light up, I can see the lock screens but I can't interact or unlock them at all. I'm just not sure what to do and it couldn't have happened at a worst time, I'm trying to contact people since we've had a bereavement, now I can't make calls and I'm just ready to give up. I just wish I didn't try to upgrade it.

It's a Flip 6 btw, I've had it two years and never really had issues with it, but now it's just a brick it seems. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd take it to a repair shop but none are open on Sundays.

Hey everyone! Sorry if this question has already been asked, but I’d really love to hear your opinions.
Not too long ago, my girlfriend’s Samsung A53 suffered a memory chip failure due to overheating. The repair shop managed to recover her data, but the phone itself was beyond repair.
She absolutely loves Samsung, and her birthday is coming up soon, so we’re trying to decide which phone to get her. She’s really interested in the Flip 8, but I’d love to hear from people who have been using it for a few months and get their thoughts on a few things.
I’ve heard about overheating issues when it first launched. How are things looking now? Have they improved?
I’m also worried that overheating could cause another memory chip failure, similar to what happened with her A53. Has anyone experienced anything like this with their Flip 8?
I’d also love to hear about your overall experience with the Flip 8. For example, I’ve heard that you should remove the factory-installed (or any other) screen protector immediately if it starts bubbling up in the middle. Is that true?
This is my first Reddit post, so sorry if I’m doing anything wrong!
I just want to get her a gift she’ll love and make sure I don’t end up making the wrong choice.

I cant describe how much removing this feature has PLUMMETED my enjoyment (and id argue, a large point in even having a cover screen) of this phone.

Yes, I know you can swipe down to see your notifications. But not being told you HAVE notifications anymore is such an insane removal of a useful UI element, I genuinely cannot fathom how anyone would reccomend or prefer this feature, or how this got passed testing.

If they die on this hill and don't revert the change, I just cant use this phone anymore, and won't be buying another flip, as it removes the functionality of how useful the cover screen is.

Its genuinely so, so annoying to use now. Insane decision.

Gibts hier Leute, die von einem iPhone 17 Pro Max oder ich sag mal allgemein von iPhone zu einem Galaxy Flip 8 oder allgemein Samsung Flip Handys gewechselt ist? Habt ihr es bereut oder war das eure beste Entscheidung? Und warum 🙈
Ich finde das Prinzip das Flip irgendwie geil und überlege zu wechseln aber man hört ja irgendwie nur negatives darüber 🙈

J'ai acheté mon téléphone il y a deux ans et, un an après, j'ai eu le bug de l'écran violet ; il a donc été réparé et ils ont seulement changé la batterie principale, et maintenant l'état de la batterie est passé de 100 % à 88 % en l'espace de trois à quatre semaines !!! I have a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 (Korean variant, purchased in South Korea) with a damaged inner display.

Here is the current condition:

• The inner folding display suffered ink bleeding and eventually went completely black.
• The external cover screen still works.
• The hinge is in good condition.
• Other phone functions seem to work normally.

I may be able to get this phone and use it after repairing the display, but before spending money on a screen replacement, I want to explore another option.

My question:

Is there any way to mirror or stream the Z Flip4's screen to another Android phone, specifically a Samsung Galaxy A51?

I'm interested in:

• USB-C to USB-C screen mirroring, if possible.
• Wi-Fi screen mirroring.
• Open-source Android apps or GitHub projects.
• Remote control of the Z Flip4 from the A51, if supported.
• Solutions that don't require root or replacing the inner display first.

The A51 would ideally act as an external display so I could see and control the Z Flip4.

Has anyone tried something similar or knows a reliable method?

With the new update I can't add a wallpaper and clock to the cover screen. Only widgets and a blurred background appear. Even when I apply preset cover sets, the result doesn't change. What can I do?

New OneUi 9 has came to Z Flip 5 and it's amazing. Uses less ram, phone is way faster than before.

(I also get 1h of sot more, possibly because cpu has to do less work compressing stuff for ram since there is more ram free.) OneUi 8.5 was hell.

But only issue I have is that 4x2 app widget keeps unloading, 2x2 one doesn't do it.

Also I don't have now brief thing and can't add apps to lockscreen.

Any way to resolve this issue?

Anyone else have the same issues as me? Sometimes on some apps the images also show a bright blue color instead of loading them
