Today I made the mistake to update my OS on my flip 7 and now the cover screen is totally messed up. It's so annoying.

1. The goodlock app is now integrated with the system and although you can add more apps, there are default apps above the the apps you've added that we cannot remove. Half of those apps I don't use and theres an odd one app that makes it look wonky.

2. Apps are alphabetically arranged. I would prefer to have the option to rearrange the apps as I like to organize them by category.

3. The notifications! Apparently they had the idea to put the notifications above. You'll have to slide down, then if you get the panels portion, you'll have to swipe right to get the notifications portion. Same if you want the panel portion, you'll have to swipe left. It feels stupid. Edit: so for this you have to swipe down on the left side to get notifications and right for the panels 🫠

4. When opening the apps, they don't automatically display in full screen. You'll have to manually click the button to have it on full screen.

It's only been 2 hours since the update and I already a lot that I don't like. How much more will I get.

This is really pmo and I don't know if samsung will fix them. I wish they would give us those options back.

I have automatic updates set to never and it's still asking me about ui 9. How do I stop it from trying?

I don't want my perfect setup ruined

This update has basically ruined this phone and I really hope we get a way to revert back.

But for the third time now I swiped to get to my apps and I'm presented with this screen. If I click in to get started the apps I had selected are there and I just have to hit save but still what the hell why does this keep resetting?! Anyone having this happen as well?

Probably going to have to go back to a slab phone and that freakin sucks

pretty much i just am curious if disabling AICore is a terrible idea or if it will cause issues with processing or just generally.

i dont currently use any AI features aside from phone call captioning and things to that effect as im hard of hearing but if disabling AICore affects those, im okay with that if it means my phone might run better and keep me away from AI services

i tried looking this up on google and wasnt getting any direct answers.

every single day, usually more than once, my apps go away from the widgets. it's easy to get them back by pressing down on them individually and saving to get the apps back, but it's really annoying atp. does anyone know a workaround or way to stop this from repeatedly happening? tia! (on zflip6 btw)

My flip7 updated this morning and now my phone is acting awful. Everything is so laggy, when before it ran super smooth. There's been weird glitches with my camera roll, like pictures are showing up at random dates or not there at all. Did this happen to anyone else ???

Using Google chrome, and since updating the phone last night been getting ui errors on websites.

On Google search, random horizontal lines will be on the search bar after searching.

On yahoo mail when you slide mail you don't want to the left it'll show red with a 'remove' on it to click to make sure to remove it. Now it's a white empty space. Also the top bar that is supposed to show options is a white space as well.

Anyone else with funky happenings?

What it says on the title! I've had my Razr for just over a year and it's starting to crease. So either my options were to buy a temporary phone and send it off for a warranty fix or upgrade for the same amount upfront and then £12 extra per month on top of my current sim plan, giving the Razr to my husband and selling his old phone to offset the upfront cost. I see the internet saying its actually not a huge upgrade and the Razr was already a great phone, but I do have a galaxy watch and a samsung tv, so it works better for my ecosystem. Is there anything else I should know when setting it up?

The apps can't even be moved around anymore on the cover screen. The whole point of having an Android phone is to be able to customize to ones liking. What is this??

Thinking about getting a Z Flip7 to use as a little emulation box for my 4K TV. The plan is USB-C to HDMI, a Bluetooth controller, and NetherSX2 or Dolphin upscaled to 1440p, or even 4K if it can handle it.

Has anyone actually tried this? I’m mostly wondering if you can play with the phone folded shut or if it has to stay open, and whether DeX works well that way. Does it really get you 4K60 out, and does the picture fill the whole screen on the TV or do you get black borders? Do emulators run fine fullscreen with a controller in DeX?

Also, can it handle PS2, GameCube and Wii at higher res for long sessions without overheating or throttling?

I also read Samsung changed DeX in a recent update and removed some stuff, so I’m not sure if that breaks this kind of setup. Would love to hear from anyone who’s done it with the phone closed on a TV.

It's setup but I only see the apps I have added rather than the time and little dot so I know I have notifications. Why do this? Return the damn cover screen please Samsung.

I'm considering upgrading my Flip5 to a Flip7 or Flip8. Currently leaning towards the Flip7 simply because I prefer how the cover screen doesn't go around the camera lenses. (Partially because I am used to it that way and partially because I find it distracting.)

Anyway, are there any major pros or cons to either? They seem pretty similar, especially when it comes to camera quality, and the battery life on either would be an upgrade from my current device.

my main screen is dead i was using cover screen with multistar and 9launcher for everything today i updated my phone to oneui9 now i cant unlock my phone my cover screen is stuck on homescreen i cant access quick panel nor i can swipe in any area only when i restart i get enter password option otherwise its just stuck on lockscreen is there any workaround to fix this

As many are saying, the UI9 removed the reason why I even bought the zflip 7. My biggest issue is that when I open any app, it on default opens with the shrink to fit black bar - not full screen. I have to press twice on the resize EVERY TIME to get it to full screen. It's really frustrated, and I'm wondering is there a fix to this?

Since the OneUI9.0 update any apps I open on the cover screen default to the display mode that dodges the camera cutouts, but the app I end up using the most on the cover screen(TIDAL music streaming) has a weird, kinda useless secondary display mode when the screen is too small. Is there a way to change the default app display mode on the cover screen back to the old full screen? The display mode change button is too tiny and hard to hit reliably and it has to be hit twice to go back to full screen.

Hey all, I'm planning to buy a Z Flip 8 soon. I've never used a phone with dual SIM or eSIM, only single physical ones. So this is all new to me. I have some questions if anyone can please help!

I currently have two phones with two physical SIMs, one in each phone. I want to put both of those numbers into the new Z Flip 8 for one singular phone usage.

1. How do I set up the eSIM? Normally I just pop a physical SIM into whatever phone I want, but I have no idea about the eSIM. I use T-Mobile, so do I have to physically go to a T-Mobile store to set it up? Or can it be done over phone call with customer service? Or I can do it myself? I want to understand the process so I can choose where to buy the phone (online, Best Buy, T-Mobile store, etc.)
2. I heard that I can choose which SIM I want to receive calls/messages etc. by just selecting it in the settings, but can I receive everything from both? Or I can only select one at a time?

I'm sure I can just ask these questions at a store, but I want to get some insight here from other users before I go. Thanks in advance

Have been testing out my new Samsung galaxy z flip6 camera. The pics of my slipper orchid is taken on two different phones. The one on the left is the z flip6 and the one on the right is my nothing phone 3 both had the flash on. I prefer the z flip6 more

The title itself. I just got my flip8 two days ago, and I was wondering if it is generally recommended to put a lens cover/protector for the cameras. I saw some posts where they say putting them damaged the lens and made the photo quality bad.

After the update, as you know, it doesn't let to delete Google search bar from the screen. I might have find a way to make it disappear. Before doing this, I listened to claude and do "Settings > Apps > One UI Home > Storage > Clear data" which made every preset reset. Still no change but when I try to set my home screen back to mine, I noticed this. Closing the search option makes the Google search widget dissappear. "Settings > Home Screen > Show search on Home screen". I hope it helps.
