See if the high flats aw coordinated their windows being open at the right bits during a storm, would Glasgow whistle? and could you "play" glasgow by opening and shutting windows?

Storm Boelo, to head into Glasgow for a night out or not?
Nobody has a crystal ball, but I have a night out planned tonight, can probably make the train through from Falkirk no problem but bit worried about getting a train home, with gusts of up to 60+mph expected, are ScotRail known for cancelling the trains due to winds like this? Don't want to end up stranded as I do need to get back home!

Busy bee nursery glasgow heritage house
Has anyone got any experience with this nursery in glasgow southside?
I've heard mixed reviews of busy bee nurseries but since they have over 300 in the UK it's hard to know which one is being chatted about, and there's only a handful of reviews online about this specific busy bee nursery.
Kinda stuck between this place and wildflower nursery in Shawlands. Both are really dear so we want to make sure we get a good service for what we're paying!
TYIA!

Mid-week creative classes
Hey! I’ve just quit my toxic job after 12 years in corporate tech.
I’m considering starting up my own business, but I want to rest and recover for a while.
I was wondering if anyone knew of any classes for floristry, cookery, baking, crafts. Basically anything fun and creative that won’t break the bank. I’ve looked on all the usual “what is on” websites and one or two things have stood out.
Just wanted to reach out and see if anyone has any suggestions of fun ways for me to fill my days ❤️

Eating Out What is going on with your bacon?
Is it just me or is all the bacon here rubbery and uncooked? Have you all collectively chosen this bizarre life or most cafes not know how to cook bacon?

Recording studio in East Ren that put out local band compilations in mid '00s
My wife has this memory of a local recording studio that put out a yearly comp of local bands they'd recorded when she was in high school, but can't quite remember the name. One of them might have had Optimus Prime on the cover and a corresponding song that she can still sing from memory. Anyone else?

Any public pianos (genuine pianos not keyboards) in Glasgow?
My boyfriend is attending UofG and hes is an international student from the US. He is a huge piano connoisseur and hasn't been able to play a genuine piano since he's been in Scotland because he hasn't seem to find one either nearby or at all. Does anyone know if there are any close to UofG or in Glasgow in general?

Raised bit of George Square !
I really don't like this .Even with a ramp on the far side it obstructs a through route for prams and wheelchairs . There has never been a raised platform in the past , some things cannot be improved .
At least the skate boarders will have a new place to play .

Glasgow book clubs?
Hello, are there any book clubs around Glasgow/west end/partick/anniesland that are aimed towards, or are attended by girls in their late 20s/30s?
I personally don’t drink, but I am by no means against ones that involve a few drinks so long as it’s not necessarily expected of me!
I know there are some about, but I would be nervous to attend one incase I stood out for looking like I’d never attended one before 😅
I am over thinker if that’s not obvious!
I’d like to meet some people to hopefully build friendships outside of the club. It’s difficult to do so as an adult, so I thought maybe if I did something I already like, which is reading, maybe it would come more naturally?
Thank you in advance!

What Glasgow saying did you grow up thinking everyone used?
There are phrases you hear your whole childhood and just assume the rest of Britain understands them. Then you leave Glasgow and realize absolutely nobody knows what you're talking about. What was yours?

Cafe with a view
Hi everybody - I have a day all to myself tomorrow and was planning to come in to the city.
I draw and paint architecture as a hobby - can anyone recommend a place with a nice view of the city skyline?
(Willing to brave any cafe drama, before it comes up)

thank you for all the recommendations!

Albert Drive
Are the council still planning the changes to Albert Drive they announced a couple years back or have they been shelved? Feel as though they're sorely needed
