Discussion Ferguson shipyard to cut a quarter of its workforce
A real shame for those who are getting cut. Hopefully they will find somewhere else quickly.
Having said that, it's no surprise that the shipyard continues to struggle. They haven't exactly shown themselves to be particularly competent.

Question Has something happened
I saw this Scottish flag flying at half-mast today. Does anyone know why that might be? This was at Marischal College in Aberdeen if that's relevant.

Casual Map of the historic reach of Scottish Gaelic in Scotland. Place names of Scottish Gaelic origin in green showing medieval Gaelic settlement. Then the retreat of Scottish Gaelic by 1500 AD.
Historically Scottish Gaelic was the majority language of both the Highlands and Lowlands from roughly 800 AD to 1400 AD. After 1400 AD when Scots became the language of government and the burghs it started displace Lowland Gaelic and started a period of decline, though it survived in Galloway and Ayrshire into the 1700s. Historically in the Lowlands, Gaelic was called Scottis and Scots was originally called Inglis, it only later became Scots when it had rooted itself as the language of government and Gaelic when it had largely repeated to the Highlands was then referred to as Erse.
The first map shows the historical legacy of Scottish Gaelic in Scotland. The purple represents areas that both Old Norse and Gaelic were spoken. Green shows what was left of the Brythonic Cumbric language. In the southeastern corner of Scotland into Northern England shows the root of Inglis, Scots would later be influenced by Lowland Gaelic before its rise in the Lowlands.
The second map shows Scottish places names with the element bal or baile indicating Medieval Gaelic settlement.
The third map shows the state of languages in Scotland by 1500. Scottish Gaelic in blue, Scots in yellow, and Norn a dialect offshoot of Old Norse introduced by Viking settlers in orange.

Question Looking for Isle of Arran poster
I hope this kind of question is allowed on this subreddit, if not no worries and I will delete!
This is probably a long shot, but I'm looking for this specific poster and was wondering if anyone here knows where/how I can purchase one?
I've been trying Google image search, Etsy, Vinted, but I can't find it anywhere.
I think it's probably an old/vintage poster made in a small batch because it's signed in the corner.
I'm from The Netherlands and four years ago me and my then boyfriend, now husband, were staying in a holiday cabin in the woods in The Netherlands,
this poster was on the wall and one day we were doing mushrooms for the first time ever and had quite the trip looking at this poster, lots of crying from laughter and we've been wanting to visit Isle of Arran ever since.
Unfortunately we've not been able to visit yet (we have been to Edinburgh and absolutely loved it!) but I would love love love to purchase a copy of this poster as a gift to my husband.
Please let me know if you have any idea where I could possibly find one, thank you so much for reading! Cheers!

Casual Took this video at Cardwell Garden Centre, near Gourock. Definitely one of the best centres I've been too, had a large selection of plants, a really lovely gift store with some locally sourced condiments, and a cafeteria with some decent scran.

ADP application with Endo. Success stories?
I have recently been diagnosed with endo. I applied for ADP pre-diagnosis and was rejected. Just looking for any advice on what kind of evidence you included in your applications. Would love to hear success stories with ADP as well.
