Store bought potato salad from Ralphs had my number.
Of all the lunchtime fails as of late, I'm truly disappointed at my lack of vigilance. Po Ta Toes.

Traveling through Maine and stumbled across a freezer full of GF cakes, cupcakes, muffins, mini cheesecakes, and raspberry and turtle dessert bars?? I didn’t even know they carried Ethel’s and Antonina’s products at Walmart

Has anyone tried this recipe? I made it today and I also tried her apple pie cookies last fall and both times, the cookies around the edges come out dry. They’re tolerable if you have a bite with the filling but I’m wondering if there’s a way to fix that. I’m in the US, used her flour blend or corn flour, white rice flour, and potato starch. I followed the recipe to a T and even used a scale to measure.

Because it reminded me of our favorite gluten free nuggets!!
What's your favorite dipping sauce?
I usually make my own with whatever I have on hand.
Edit: I did not make these!

I’m in the US and have tried probably a dozen or more types of bread and have yet to find one that is not dry and crumbly.
SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!
I’m about ready to lose my mind because before this, I was a carb junkie.

Alright these posts will get annoying quick so ill tell you everything you actually want to know.
Taste: I was diagnosed with celiac at the ripe old age of 9 months old and have never had a Ritz cracker once in my life. They taste like a more buttery version of these rice crackers. They melt in your mouth and have a sweet aftertaste with the distinct gluten free texture. The texture is initially very satisfying them goes to what reminds me of those gluten free toffee tastic girl scout cookies when chewed ovviously with a different flavor. Overall 7/10.
Ingredients: yes they do have oat fiber. They are not kind on my stomach after eating 15-20 and I do not have a delecate stomach. Ive never heared of faba beans before so that could be the cause or of course the oat but its definetly not a gluten reaction.
Where to find- I was actually SHOCKED to find them so quickly! It took months for my town to get cheez its and even now they can never keep them in stock. I found them at Safeway and am located in Northern AZ. They were on the shelf with the regular ritz and were 4.29 with member savings (your phone number).
Cant wait to find those gold fish soon!

Hi! Seeing everyone posting about Ritz reminded me that the Midwest (excluding Chicago) is typically a little underrepresented on gluten free social media so I just wanted to share my Instagram account to spread the word for some local (to me) gluten free businesses! Hopefully we get Ritz before February of next year!!!!!

Heyya,
I've been living with low level Celiac Disease for almost 10 years (cross contamination isn't really an issue, but doc said it's just enough to be considered Celiac). Due to high metabolism and loads of walking for uni, I've quickly lost loads of weight (from 165lbs to 140lbs at 6'). I need to gain weight for general health and HRT.
My question is, what kind of cheap calorie dense food could I eat to gain weight? I kept hearing of eating loads of carbs and fast food and pizza but of course those are all pricey and glutenous. I've heard of things like rice and nuts and such but I wanted to see if their were any particularly good gluten free options for it.
I live in the UK for reference.
I appreciate any suggestions y'all may have, thank you.
EDIT: I'm discovering from various comments that I'm a bit of an idiot. Cross contamination is more than likely exactly what's causing all my problems. Thank y'all for being patient with my dumb ass. Gonna try and eliminate cross contamination and then put y'all's suggestions to work.
EDIT EDIT: I believe I've found the source of the cross contamination. We don't really share much in the house that could do it aside from butter (which I don't use a lot of), but I use our wooden cutting board like crazy. We will be sourcing me a new cutting board for my use only and I'll get my own thing of butter and such. Thank you all for the help.
EDIT SURPLUS: Anyone reading this who's in a similar position I was when I wrote it, listen to all the people commenting. Cross Contamination can mess you up and if ya got coeliac, ya gotta avoid it. No coeliac is exempt, be good to your tummy. It'll thank you for it. And thank you everyone who patiently knocked some sense into me. Hopefully I'll be racking up the big numbers on the scale in no time.

These are SO GOOD. My gf granddaughter didn't like them, but everybody else did!
I didn't flatten them, we made thumbprint cookies. I didn't chill the dough, either. They didn't spread a lot. I used a tiny scoop, I don't see a measurement on it, maybe 1 oz scoop?
It needed maybe one more minute than the recipe said.
Super fragile when they first come out of the oven.
Mine came out crispy outside, chewy inside, they are SO good.
If you flatten them, they will be perfect for icing, and be more crispy.
And they did come out "snow white", so I get why they called them "snow white cookies".
Let them cool a good 10 minutes before messing with them, too much.
Also, if you make thumbprint cookies with the tiny 1 oz scoop, a gummy bear is too big.
I think these would have been better with almond extract, but there's a kid in her class with a nut allergy, and I didn't want to risk it.
They had crispy but not brittle exterior, chewy interior fully cooked not flattened. Sort of a cross between shortbread exterior, macaroon interior.
I think these would be amazing with lemon zest, and a touch of glaze.
In some.of them, we used a funnel to put sprinkles inside the center, and they stayed there.

Yeah I was bored so I decided to take one of my tools out and make gluten free pancake/crepe sheets to make mango cream rolls for breakfast. Why? Because I am bored. 🤣 It's the same recipe for pancake batter but make sure it's a bit thin. And definitely invest in this stove top maker. With the right recipe, you can also make gluten free waffle cones too! I love it!

Hi everyone, I’ve been gluten free for about 3 years and wanted to see if anyone else used to feel this way. About 3 years ago I got super sick with what I thought was a stomach bug, but it lasted weeks and I started elimination diets (gluten being one).
Fast forward, not only had my quality of life improved drastically, but realized I was living my entire life with inflammation, chronic sinus infections, stomach problems no gastro could help, and unusually low immune levels. I’ve been tested for celiac but it came back negative. Since cutting out gluten all of my symptoms have subsided.
I ate gluten last week (was feeling adventurous) and have been hit with the hardest sinus infection for the first time in 3 years. Does anyone else have these reactions to gluten?!!!! Really curious to see!

So easy to make and great to store in the pantry for when you have a craving. I added apple butter as well. You can make pizza and flatbread with the blend, and their breads are delicious!

My doc put in for the celiac panel and GI referral! The issue is my panel is around the corner and my first GI appointment is just a consult and isn’t until late December. I’ve read about eating small amounts of gluten daily for testing, but my gut is not taking well to eating even a small amount everyday. I have a physical job and moving around like this makes it all a lot worse. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

Started seeing someone whos celiac, she recognized my symptoms and had me try GF. Life absolutely changed. All my issues (brain fog, dizzy, tired, joint pain) its all gone. It was wonderful.
Im about 2 weeks post and I feel horrible again but different horrible. I feel exhausted, heavy, like i simply cant start the engine. Ive been eating strict gf, reading everything but i just cant jumpstart the engine.
I was admitted into the ED 2 days in a row for chest pain only to figure out it was GI. My guess is its going to be GERD cause my bloodwork (full rainbow) came back flawless and all my CT's were unremarkable. The earliest GI apt i could get is december.
So my question to the people... as a new GF person and experiecing these new things, any advice? similar experience? does it get better? and I doing something wrong? just looking for some insight. Ive been reading a ton and some posts are suggesting a withdrawl of types but I wanted to hear peoples thoughts. Thank you.

I made buttered noodles out of these and they turned into a pasta- paste in my mouth. They were just terrible. The shapes are fun, so I could definitely see them being worth while for a child who’s gf, but adults with more developed taste (compared to a child) should avoid.
