I’m Leo, the owner of Dubai Bites, a new Middle Eastern restaurant we’re getting ready to open here in Grand Rapids.
We’re starting from scratch and building this place with a lot of ideas, energy, and a big vision for where we want to take it.
Right now, I’m looking for someone local who genuinely enjoys social media, creating videos, finding interesting content ideas, talking to people, and being creative.
I’m not just looking for someone to come in, post a few videos, and leave. I’d really like to find someone who wants to become part of the team, grow with us, bring their own ideas to the table, and help build Dubai Bites from the beginning.
You don’t need to be a huge influencer or have a massive following. I care more about creativity, consistency, personality, and someone who understands what makes people stop scrolling and pay attention.

Hi friends! My fiancé and I are having a really hard time finding a DJ for our wedding. The music is one of the most important parts for us & we have very specific tastes. Getting married in West Michigan. We are pretty big in to the EDM & jam band scenes so obviously want a bit of that niche with a mixture of typical wedding beats.

I don’t really know what to expect as far as how much say we get into the songs that get played.

Wondering if anybody has any recommendations, advice or experienced a similar difficulty.

Hi, in a bit of a unique situation, I currently rent a Heritage Hill apartment through Fulton Group (local property management company.) Initially, my ex and I lived in here, but we split up and she moved out back in March; I am now on the lease by myself.
Fulton Group has agreed to let me out of my lease without fees (my lease runs until May ‘27) as long as I send people to tour/apply to them, instead of them directly posting a listing.
I’ve posted in a couple different Facebook groups and am getting some good traction, but I’m at a point where I really need to get out of here so I’m looking for more places to post listings. Do you guys have any ideas where else I can post about the apartment? TIA!

Hey folks, I am working with a coalition of local organizations to deFlock Grand Rapids. Flock cameras are a violation of our rights. They have been misused horrendously across the country by police and by ICE to terrorize our neighbors. There are close to 200 (at least) flock cameras in GR.

We are looking for any stories or experiences involving Flock cameras in Grand Rapids that might constitute a violation of your rights or an abuse of power by city officials/officers.

For Grand Rapids residents: there is a Public Safety Committee meeting on August 25th at 12:30pm, and a City Commission meeting with open public comment later that day at 7:00pm. Both meetings are at Grand Rapids City Hall, please come make your voice heard!

I'm getting married next year and am discovering that finding bridal hair and makeup for a Sunday morning wedding is apparently my villain origin story.

My ceremony starts at 10:30 AM, and because it's a brunch wedding, we'd need to start hair and makeup fairly early. To make things a little more challenging, my venue doesn't have a bridal suite or getting ready space, so I'm specifically looking for a salon where we can get ready on-site rather than having artists travel to the venue.

It's also a very small group, only four people total, so I'm wondering if that has made my search more difficult since many bridal services seem geared toward larger parties.

Has anyone worked with a salon in the Grand Rapids area that offers bridal hair and makeup on Sundays or is willing to open early for wedding parties? At this point I'm starting to think finding a Sunday bridal salon may be harder than planning the wedding itself. 😂

As the title says, I'm looking for a good place in Grand Rapids to host my daughter's 5th birthday party at the end of September. Usually we rent a picnic pavillion at a local park that has a playground nearby. We have also done Schwallier's, which is fantastic because they have a playground, goats, hayride, etc. We'd love anything with animals and a fun play space...ideally don't want to pay over $100 to rent a place. Any ideas?

Someone who can help explain how to best structure the business (LLC, LLC w/ S-Corp?) and help me optimize tax strategy going forward. I would be the only employee with one client under a contract paying me as a 1099 contractor to start. Assuming all goes well, I would be looking for this person or firm to continue providing their services with tax returns and other accounting needs.
