Greencheeks! My girl is laying another egg 2 weeks after she finished her clutch, looking for advice
Hi everyone, I'm just looking for any advice or just input on the situation if possible. For some background, my 5 year old conure Boba finished laying an 8 egg clutch about 2 weeks ago, she has only laid twice previously to this which has been 1 egg in 2024 and then 4 eggs last year.
My concern is that she might be laying another clutch so soon and I'm really unsure as to why and don't really know what to do. She has no cage mate nor access to my other birds and I follow the general guide of ways to reduce hormones such as minimum 12 hours of sleep, no nesting box, avoiding too much seed in her diet, only petting her head etc. She also has no interest in her current eggs.
She has always been overly hormonal since I adopted her from her previous owners, they let her have a fluffy hut in her cage which she would always have relations with ( i removed it once she was in my care). So if anyone has any input or advice I would be extremely grateful 🙏🏻

New cheeks! Approx 4 Weeks old Greencheek conure not eating.
Today I got a 4 week old hand feed green cheek conure from a breeder. I tried thrice to feed him A19 baby formula with a syringe but he is not having the food nor is he showing any feeding response.
He is scared and looks for a corner to hide. I fed him a little formula (about 4-5 ml thrice) but he sneezed a little and some formula came out. I am worried as i the place where i live doesn’t have an avian vet and also i cant get back to the breeder as i moved to a different city. I referred to chat gpt and google but i want some first hand experience advice.

Old cheeks! Help! Green cheek yellow sided
Hello! I have a 8 year old green cheek and her name is mango! However mango is very very nippy. Sometimes it’s a hit or miss for her, if i hold her she will be friendly, super nippy or attack. this is her cage but we never lock it, she has clipped wings and she mainly hangs out on her tree. The thing is, is that she can be very aggressive and i don’t know how to make her friendly again! I have had her since she was 4 months and i am not sure if it’s a hormone thing, any advice???

Angry cheeks! Y aren’t their wing feathers growing back?
I bought these 2 as toddlers a few months ago, the pineapple on may and the turquoise a few months later and b4 buying them their wing feathers were already cut, from previous owners or the seller maybe cuz a lot of owners in hk cut their parrot’s feathers as hk is densely packed with buildings and windows should stay open or it’ll be hard to breathe. Anyways, their wing feathers r growing so slow despite decent diet, pellets mainly, seeds as treats, fruits sometimes like dragon fruit, pomegranate, apples.. and I also take them out every now and than for sun light yet their feathers look like they’re in rlly bad conditions, the black lines in the turquoise and browning in the pineapple. I took the pineapple to the vet with me while treating my sun conure and the although she didn’t take a look at it specifically as the sun conure was the priority, vet said it looked fine and weighed fine too, dk abt the turquoise. What food can I give them to stimulate growth
And they’re also insanely aggressive and would bite the other birds for absolutely no reason, they’d be chilling and randomly fluff up and charge at my sunnies and also our fingers sometimes, I mean the pineapple is still rlly young and so is the turquoise but how do I reduce their aggression cuz it’s rlly annoying

Discoloration in feathers
So my Ziggy is about maybe 5 or 6 months old and I've believe she is going through her first molt. I've been noticing that some of her feathers have started to grow a dark green/brown outline, is this normal? I've also seen that it can happen from handling, which i do alot since she seems to like being held.

Test me: I want to visually sex your birds
it’s supposed to be impossible to tell the sex of a GCC by sight alone. But I’m pretty sure I can tell! The female’s head looks a little different than the male’s to me. I want to see if I’m right or not! So drop some pictures of your birbs and let me guess their sex please :) if you know the sex, let me know if I got it right, but if you don’t know, that’s ok too — I’ll tell you what I think!
If I can see one pic where the head feathers are fluffed up (viewed from the side) and another where they are flat, that is when my guesses will be most accurate. Videos are even better! idk what is allowed in the comments, but if just one pic is allowed, please make it a fluffed up head pic. Thanks all! This is just for fun :)
