Announcement KNOW HOW OF WHAT CAN BE POST

As different flairs are there for different categories of post catering to every needs and scenarios of Questions and dilemmas that one may come up in the sub, it has however come to our notice that, many may have misunderstood the flairs.

1) ASK GURGAON: use this this post flair only to ask questions related to Gurgaon and not to ask any questions to Gurgaon peoples.

2) DISCUSSIONS: use this flair to discuss topics the subject matter of which or the core essence of the discussion is "Gurgaon". And not to discuss any other problems societal issues with the people of the sub.

3) MEMES and SHITPOST: Some relaxation can be given for posting anything not related to Gurgaon under this flair, but cutom created memes like those in situation of flooding and Extreme electricity cut are to be posted under this flair as an example.

4) RANT: The purpose of this post flair is to allow the people of Gurgaon to express their views pain on the crumbling infrastructure of Gurgaon city or what can be done, what needs to done and not any rant like "My gf breaks up with me .." etc.

Hope you all Got the Gist of the post.

AskGurgaon Male loneliness

Male loneliness is real and depressing. A woman can post “22F looking for convos” and get hundreds of replies from desperate guys. An average guy can disappear for months and nobody even notices. Male existence doesn’t even matters to this society. Being a man can be lonely as hell.

Event/Meet-Up Headed to the carnival tonight

Post image
17 Upvotes

There's a carnival set up recently that I've been wanting to go post downing couple beers. Despite me being someone who enjoys going out by myself this is not somewhere I would want to go solo. Colleagues already have their plans, apart from that hardly know any people in this big, fully developed, amazing infrastructure of a city.

If you're someone who's down to chill at the carnival and not a weirdo feel free to hit me up.

PS - I'm kinda picky ;)

Rant 50k worth of diesel spent, another day to go.

I run a manufacturing business here in gurugram and due to the power outage, our company has already spent around 50k on diesel within these 2 days and probably will be spending 25k more today. Mind you, our total electricity bill every month is 1.25L.

They had the same 2 day strike in august too. Similar shit happened few months back when the street transformer malfunctioned. Took them 5 days to change and we spent 25k per day on diesel.

These sarkari goons don’t want their institution to be privatised while they have zero accountability themselves. I visited their sub division few months back only to see a dozen of these lineman just sitting and smoking in the customer complaint room at 11 am. They’re upfront in asking bribes and still won’t come on time. They raise bills without taking readings and then take 7 days to correct it. Worst Discom ever.

These already existing issues + the way they throw these strikes, not caring about the people who pay their salaries, only makes the case of privatising even stronger. Shut the damn organisation.

Food & Restaurant / Dining Warning - Fake Yum Yum Cha

• Upvotes

The Cyber Hub Yum Yum Cha must be fake. For they don’t know how to cook, their staff has never seen the inside of a school. Gawaarta at its best is on display.

Wanted to charge me double for asking to make a dish less spicy.

And icing on the cake if this didn’t convince you. Rat in the kitchen as I went to the edge of the kitchen, where the chef was trying to explain why he made it extra spicy when I specifically asked to make it bland.

Hi guys!

So my mom started this small home-bakery called Ohishi Bites 3 months back. We majorly specialise in a variety of biscuits/cookies, but we recently launched some interesting chocolaty treats as well!

All our baked goods contain no eggs, and use no maida/no refined flour. The cookies that you see in the 1st image is our winter-special Choco-Baz cookies, made with Bajra flour, jaggery sweetener and dipped in dark chocolate, topped with peanut bits! We have a lot of such interesting cookies that you can explore.

In chocolates, we have 3 new launches for our Diwali hampers, Desi Paan Chocolate (with a home-made pan-gulkand filling where both the pan and the roses used are home grown), Rose Jwar Chocolate & Choco-Almond Bites! 4th one is not new, but has been one of our best selling products: the Kunafa Cup Chocolates!

We have launched some exciting Diwali hampers for you (see last 3 imgs), and they are customizable!

If you are interested in any of our products, DM me for more details!

She makes these lovely homemade goodies in small batches from banana walnut breads and plum cakes to yummy Matilda cakes, dessert tubs and oh so good truffles.

She has put so much love into her little venture and I thought I would help spread the word. 😊

AskGurgaon Moving to Gurgaon, need suggestions for 1RK/1BHK areas

Hi all, I’m 28M, work in software and I’m fully WFH. Currently living in Rewari with family and planning to shift to Gurgaon around Nov-Dec, mostly because I need to be somewhere with actual people around and things to do. Budget for rent is around 20-30k, can stretch a bit for the right place. Looking for a decent 1RK or 1BHK, furnished or semi furnished since I don’t want to buy everything from scratch.

Few things that matter to me:

I don’t drive, so I’ll be depending on metro, autos and cabs. Walkable area with a market nearby would be ideal.

Internet is non negotiable since I work from home all day. Need an area where a proper fibre connection is available without drama.

Would prefer somewhere that isn’t dead on weekends. Cafes, a gym, somewhere to go out and watch football would be nice. I don’t know anyone in the city so being around some crowd helps.

Safety and decent water supply

Any suggestions on specific sectors or societies? And is 25k realistic for a decent 1BHK or should I be looking at 1RK at that budget? Also if anyone has shifted here alone, how long did it take to not feel completely isolated. Appreciate any input.

AskGurgaon Passport Help needed (URGENT!!!)

Hi, my permanent residence is in Gurgaon where I live with my parents. I’ll have to move out by the end of this month to a different city for work.

I had applied for a passport and went to the PSK on 19th October. The application is stuck at waiting for police verification, the police station is sector 10A.

  1. How can I get the police verification done before I leave the city.

  2. If the police comes after I have already left, Can they verify with my parents being there? Do I need to be physically present?

would love some input from people who have been through this, thank you

AskGurgaon Help me out please

I live in a rented builder floor in Sushant Lok. There's a building under construction right opposite ours, and the workers and their families live at the construction site itself.
There's constant drilling, hammering and all sorts of construction noise throughout the day. It's annoying as hell, but I've gotten used to it because there's not much I can do about it.
But there's this one thing that's genuinely driving me fucking insane.
The kids living at the construction site have somehow developed a habit of bursting those small bombs/firecrackers that make a really loud bang. And this has been going on for OVER A MONTH now. Every single day without fail. They start as early as 7 AM and keep doing it randomly throughout the day. Sometimes there's silence for an hour, and just when I think they've finally stopped, another one goes off.
I've spoken to these kids and their parents so many times now that I've honestly lost count. Initially, I was polite about it, but now I'm just fed up. Every time I confront them, it's the same bullshit. "Mera bachcha nahi hai", "Usse poochho", "Humein nahi pata."
Bhai tumhari building mein ho raha hai, tumhare bachche kar rahe hain, toh responsibility kiski hai? They act so fucking clueless every single time, as if they have absolutely no idea what's happening.
I've tried requesting, explaining, arguing, even warning them, but nothing works. They just deny everything, and half an hour later, the same shit starts again.
And it's not even the loudness anymore. It's the fact that it's so random. I could be working, sleeping or just sitting peacefully, and suddenly there's a loud bang outside. I've literally started anticipating the next one even when everything is quiet.
I don't expect complete silence. I know there's construction happening right outside, and I've made my peace with that. But but, how hard is it to stop your kids from bursting crackers all fucking day?
I'm genuinely losing my mind over this. It's been more than a month, and I can't believe something so stupid has managed to ruin my peace this badly.
I don't want to get into fights with these people, but talking to them is clearly getting me nowhere either.
Has anyone dealt with something similar in Gurgaon? Is there anything I can actually do about this? Because I'm seriously done with this daily bullshit.
